The only Belgium chocolatier in CT! I have been seeing this place all of my Instagram and finally made my way down to Fairfield to try it. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! First off, one of the owners Sylvie, is such a gem! She was the most kind person and shared so much about the business. You can tell she loves what she does. All of the other workers were just as lovely and helpful. There are so many chocolate items to choose from such as chocolate bars, ice cream, Belgium coffee/hot chocolate, and individual chocolate pieces. They have some samples for folks to try in case you don't know which one to get. My personal favorite was the Belgium flag chocolate as well as the cookie butter chocolate bar. Everything here tastes super gourmet. The space is a little small and only has 2 tables, so it doesn't make for a good place to hang out. But it's a good place to go if you ever want to watch someone make chocolate. You can see all of the stuff they make in house :) I would come back to get more goodies for myself and gifts for others! read more

Delicious! And so fun! A friend of mine and myself did a taste test and had a blast trying to guess. Our favorites... ohhhh the pistachio! The TikTok is real people!!! Or at least here it is!! Salty, creamy, natural flavor. Limencello.. surprisingly delicious. Creamy.. wish it had more of a lemon tang. Missed that zing. Black Forest... my pick for the perfect dark chocolate bite! Just like a Black Forest cake. I picture myself eating these in the bath with candles and champagne. But let me tell you! They are all delicious and fresh and experimental. I would equate it with the feeling you might have had if you have ever met someone that literally melted your knees' ability to stand. The bewitching aroma as you enter the tantalizing shop fills your soul with giddiness like when you fall in love . This incredible, precious place is a phenomenal experience for all of your senses. Regardless of where you are coming from you need to experience this at least once in your lifetime. We actually came back and purchased multiple items twice in the same day. The remarkable Belgian chocolate shop is also a factory where you can watch the irresistible chocolate being poured. Who knew that this magical chocolate shop had all things coffee...From their Belgium chocolate coffee brew to their coffee ice cream and coffee chocolates sticks, it's a paradise to enter! The staff are so friendly and passionate about what they do. They handcraft all of their chocolates in small batches made with premium ingredients. Their ice cream menu has flavors that match their delicious chocolate flavors. For their coffee menu, they brew up a special BE Chocolat blend from Shearwater to make a Belgium chocolate coffee-blended with their rich, delicious, and creamy chocolate. They also offer a seasonal pumpkin coffee made with their white chocolate pumpkin ganache. While you're grabbing those, you also HAVE to get their Belgian waffles they are beyond delicious! Much needed chocolate shop in CT! Once I saw our Yelp CM, Alex, post a reel of this place I knew I had to check it out! Fairfield is a bit of a hike for us but luckily we were already in the area visiting a friend. Once you enter you are hit with amazing chocolate aromas which immediately hook you! Staff was super friendly and eager to let us try numerous kinds of chocolate. My favorite was their salted caramel milk chocolate! That was so unique. I'm usually a dark chocolate person but this was phenomenal! I immediately bought a bar of that and tried to savor it for a couple days. My husband got their iced coffee and they literally poured milk chocolate into it- he was obsessed with this! While we we there we saw a few people in the back with wine and getting a tour and chocolate tasting. Looked like a fun time! Let me start out by saying that BE Chocolat is an absolute gem of a find. Easily some of the best and highest quality chocolate I've found in recent years. The owners, Sylvie and Benoit, were amazing. Two kinder people would be hard to find. They take such pride in their art (and it truly is an art). The love and attention to detail is seen in the store; the chocolate, the quality, the partnerships with local vendors, etc. They make a product they are proud of and I can tell as a customer. The space is clean and charming with some seating available both inside and out. There is a covered breezeway area with music playing that is a prime location to relax and enjoy your ice cream, Belgian coffee, or many other treats. The passion fruit and limoncello chocolates were a personal favorite and my wife loved the lavender chocolate. Update from my last review: I received a message from Sylvie shortly after my review to apologize for not receiving exactly what I had ordered last time and to come back and visit to sample what I didn't receive from my last order. I came in and met the owners Sylvie and Benoit. Both were so incredibly friendly and passionate about their beautiful atelier. They took so much time out of their day to talk with me about how they create their masterpiece chocolates, the work that goes into it, and tastings to get it right when it goes out to the public. I ordered another BeParty (because when you visit, you need to try it all) and Benoit packaged it up for me, allowing me to see that everything was there. Sylvie and Benoit really went out of their way to make sure every customer who walked in was welcomed, informed on the chocolates, and received samples to try. I'm really happy that I got to meet the owners and learn more about BeChocolat! This is truly my favorite shop in Fairfield. The owners really do care about their customers and business. Update again! Every time we visit CT, it's a must to stop by! I'm not proud to say how much I spent this last time but it's always worth it. This time around, I really loaded up on my addiction and even grabbed a few ice creams to go. I just happened to see this place while I was going by. Had to stop in and try some authentic Belgian chocolate The interior is clean and chic with a tray of individual truffles of all sorts in varying sizes and color combinations for you to choose a flavor. They offer different sizes and shapes of chocolate bars as well and ice cream too. The sales girl was very pleasant and helpful. The chocolate is delicious, creamy and unique. I got a Honey Roasted Peanut Butter milk chocolate bar, a BE Rosy dark chocolate bar and 2 truffles. One with lemon and raspberry! Will definitely return. BE Chocolat is my favorite Belgian chocolate shop in the country, so we visit every time we're in the area (they also ship). It ain't cheap, but you get what you pay for and then some. My wife and I have eaten an embarrassing amount of their chocolate. The Biscoff and Sesame are two of my personal favorites, but we always buy a large variety box because everything they make is simply amazing and we want to try their brand new concoctions. We happened to strike up a conversation with Sylvie, the owner, the second time I visited and she invited us back into the kitchen to show us where they make their magic. Lots of chocolate shops may offer free samples, but no one takes the time to bring customers into the kitchen and give a spontaneous lesson about how the chocolate is made. Sylvie's husband Benoit, the Belgian chocolatier, also couldn't be nicer and took the time to tell us some of his story. Check your receipts!!! My wife just stopped in to buy some Valentine's Day chocolates and when she got to the car she looked at the receipt and realized she was charged for 3 extra items. She went back in and they explained that they charged her for the wrong items but, that was clearly not the case since everything she ordered was on the receipt. I told her to always check her receipts when the employees are extremely busy but, she said that the store wasn't even busy. Hopefully this was a one off and not a common occurrence. read more

This afternoon, my fiancé and I were out and about and decided to stop by BE Chocolat. This place is outstanding! First, it's female-owned, and second, the customer service is wonderful. The staff are very friendly and welcoming; in fact, even before my fiancé and I entered through the business' front door, a staff member greeted us kindly. Then, as soon as we stepped through the door, the scent of chocolate overwhelmed us in the best way. I chose a milk chocolate with coffee bar, and my fiancé selected a milk crispy chocolate bar. We also selected six chocolates to take home--three salted caramel and three Black Forest. When we arrived home, I tried a salted caramel chocolate. Within one small bite, I exclaimed, "This is the best chocolate I've ever had in my life!" Everything was balanced, with the right amount of salt in the caramel; it was absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend it. I then tried the Black Forest; it was good, but my mind wasn't blown, like it was with the salted caramel. Later in the evening, I tried a bite of my chocolate coffee bar; I had the same reaction as I had with the salted caramel--absolutely exquisite! If you love coffee, definitely purchase it. Finally, my fiancé tasted his crispy chocolate bar and said it was like an elevated Nestlé Crunch; he loved it. Overall, I highly recommend BE Chocolat.
