I had no idea what I was getting into when I was invited to this restaurant. Pros: The food is amazing, and worth every minute you wait. I ordered $60+ worth of food for myself and my husband because we wanted to try different things. All food was excellent and served very fast. The very best thing to have is the BACON that has syrup on it!!!! Cons: The line to get in is very long and outdoors: it would be nice if they had a little more space indoors or more retail space so we could shop and see their cute things while we wait. Once the servers drop your food off at your table, they don't really come back. I'm guessing refills are self service? I was a little unsure. *Note: The day I went was a Friday. Every single thing we ordered was delicious!! The biscuits were the best I ever had! My husband had country fried steak that was out of this world. I had the fried chicken biscuit with honey. I have driven past Oh Biscuit often but didn't realize it was a restaurant. Once I was looking for Oh Biscuit and my GPS brought me to the parking lot, I looked up and saw that imposing green and black sign. OB, you need a big biscuit painted on the building so you can see it from the road. You want people to know you're here, because everyone should stop by, even if all you order is the home fries--which are homemade deliciousness. It's like homemade potato chips came to breakfast. Yummy. Eggs are great, biscuits are big and tasty. Prices are very reasonable. We were delighted to get one of the 5 indoor tables because it was raining when we came in, but once it cleared, the tables outside on the covered patio filled up, too. It's a nice little place. Ok, this place has great potential. I guess the 5 star reviewers are easily satisfied. Let us begin. Driveway is a dirt/gravel mess. don't bring a nice car here. The order process is cumbersome, I guess its pandemic? You have to almost yell thru the window and she scribbles it down, and THEN enters it into an iPad point of sale system. Why not just enter it? Save the time and have it print the cooks sheet. Really slow. The coffee is completely awful. Like 3 hour old gas station coffee. Served in a small Styrofoam cup (not very green) for almost $2! You want milk, skim milk? Not happening. Just a plastic moo moo thing of fake half and half. You are right across the street from Starbucks. Make a deal, have them bring you an urn every hour and serve decent coffee for goodness sakes. Nothing ruins a great breakfast like dirty brown water. Now the food is fine. My friend had the bargain breakfast, which was fine. After all its hard to mess up eggs over easy and bacon. I had the egg, tomato, bacon, cheese biscuit sandwich. Very very tasty, although the bacon was cooked within an inch of its life. Almost burnt. Now, about the prices. I ordered a side of grits, as did my friend. She says "you want cheese on it?". Sure we said. Then our tab came out quite a bit more than expected. When we got our food, we asked her to recheck. Oh, its an EXTRA 2 dollars for a slice of cheddar cheese slapped on to your grits. American cheese is free. Really? Really? This is nickel and diming your customers to the extreme. The grits were great though. So, the food here is tasty, but the overall atmosphere of ordering, transparency of pricing, and the little details, needs lots of work. We are past keeping the dining room closed. This place is incredible! Walked over from the Eau Gallie yacht basin at 7:30 on a Saturday. The women working the window were super friendly and very accommodating. Best breakfasts we've had in years. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon and I had the bargain breakfast with a side of home fries with onions. Gravy was excellent, bacon was thick cut and cooked perfectly, and if you get the olivine fries, make sure to get the onions! A family-owned business with really delicious food, in my opinion. I ordered the country fried steak breakfast and it was delicious! The biscuit was buttery and flaky. The gravy, steak, egg and biscuit combination was really flavorful! The home fries were perfect. We also ordered a brownie and bread pudding to go. They were so good! What I loved the most about this place was the service! We got our food in less than 10 minutes and they were friendly! The ambiance is cozy inside and they also have outdoor dining. With that fact in mind, I am loving the rise of these restaurants that specialize in breakfast and are often open only for breakfast to lunch hours. Summarized, they are like the morning trattorias (casual diners in Italy). So far, Melbourne and Palm Bay area has Keke's Breakfast Bar, Bagel Joes, and Egg & I. However, the one that I love the most would be considered a morning osteria (public diner with simple menu in Italy), Oh Biscuit. Located less than 50 feet east of the intersection of US-1 and Eau Gallie Blvd., Oh Biscuit is a very casual eatery as it is technically a portable building or a house trailer with a small, gravel private lot. There is seating outside covered by portable awnings and only six small tables set up inside. Homey paintings and knick-knacks give the restaurant a simple yet personal touch. Summarized, people will think this is just some small local mom-and-pop diner. However, all of that will give way to the food, service, and prices that makes this one of the best breakfast eateries (or lunch eateries) among locals. Starting with the food. Just like almost everyone else who has reviewed Oh Biscuit, they make the best biscuits I have ever eaten... EVER! I don't know what their secret mix or cooking procedure is, but it has got to be a secret because I guarantee you high-end restaurants will ransom and kill for the kind of biscuits Oh Biscuit makes. This does not take away from the rest of their food though as they are all top-notch. Bacon, eggs cooked to your order, other breakfast meats, country-fried steak, chicken, tuna, and salmon are all on the menu. Other bread options outside of biscuits are available too. Let's not forget their desserts. They are all homemade and they are delicious! It surely must be the love of their food Christine (owner) and the rest of the staff put into it. If the food and service don't blow you away, the prices will. Everything on the menu is mostly less than $10. Actually, a lot of single items are less than a $1 making it easy to "build your own breakfast." From what I remember, the most expensive items on the menu were the fish breakfast platters (Tuna and Grits, Salmon and Grits) and they were less than $9. Ultimately, I would suggest this place to anyone who is coming by. Once again, take note they are only open during morning hours. Also take note they are closed on Mondays too (like many other mom-and-pop restaurants). But if you do get the chance to eat at Oh Biscuit, I would stress you don't pass it up. To be safe, order the simple breakfast, which is about $4, to find out if this is the kind of breakfast you would eat over and over again. Good, Good, Good! This little place is great! The Biscuit was huge! The food was great and the service was ON TOP OF IT! They have a small little spot and it is very easy to drive by. As I did miss the place. I would paint the building or add a sign that is easier to read for the road. Service was nice, but the food came out very poor for the EXTREME pricing. Paid nearly $30 for a couple omlettes and some sausage on the side, and tip was minimum 20% which isnt too wild but for the price you spend it adds up. My omlette was simple egg and cheese, and the eggs were worse than what i make at home as a broke college student lol. The cheese tasted really fake as if everything was just tossed in the microwave and on my buddy's omlette, his sausage was burnt and had the same complaint over the eggs. He had recommended the place beforehand as he said it was good but we assume its under new management or something because this experience was a total scam. Just wonderful I tell you. My mom likes the potatoes with onions, but I'm not the biggest fan and the grits needed a little help. Maybe a longer cook time. The also have some tasty desserts. So after reading many reviews about this new breakfast / lunch spot. We decided to give it a try. On our first arrival they were closed for the holiday weekend. No worries we will give it a go another day. Today was the day. Upon arriving I again noticed the odd parking / driveway situation. Only three paved spots off a dirt driveway. Two for handicapped and one for anyone. Their is additional parking but in an unpaved dirt lot. Having outdoor seating I would be concerned about sitting outside while cars pull in and out. Only in Melbourne can you take what looks like a double wide trailer, place it on a dirt lot, and open it as a restaurant. Enough said.... When we went in we were greated and asked to order at the counter. The space is "cute" , obviously a ladies touch and choice of color. The decor is well thought through.They do have a nice selection of breakfast items. I got the biscuit, eggs, and bacon breakfast with a side of sausage gravy. My friend got a biscuit breakfast sandwich. We both got Natalies OJ and I added a coffee. Prices here are very reasonable. I was handed a Styrofoam cup and directed to a coffee counter. The coffee was good but they lack of service was a concern. I can only imagine if this place was packed in the morning and the queue around the coffee station may be an issue. Maybe I just like someone bringing me a fresh pitcher to refill my coffee tableside. Im spoiled I guess When the food came it arrived on paper plates with plastic forks, spoons, and knives. Dont get me wrong, Im not above plastic. Would it kill them to wash a few dishes? They dont even have to be expensive, service industry special dishes and silverwear would be adequate. Moving on.... The eggs were well made and the bacon was better quality than most breakfast places in the area. The biscuit was very tasty but the gravy honestly was average. Carrying quality OJ is a plus. My friend enjoyed the breakfast biscuit especially with the addition of fresh sliced tomato inside. In the end I think that the food is good, the biscuit was exceptionally good but without an amazing sausage gravy its didn't really come together for me. Now let me tell you, if you don't order the cinnamon roll there is something wrong with you. It is one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had! The egg and cheese biscuit was awesome too, the home fries were ok but nothing to write home about. The coffee was also pretty good for a small diner. The service here is also incredibly good. I visited Oh Biscuit on a busy Saturday and they only had one waitress. At most places this would be the makings for a disaster, but not here.
