I had a craving for a Korean corndog today. As both Afternoon and Ugly Donuts are no longer open, our options in Downtown Flushing have become rather limited. I ordered a premium beef with sweet potato topping and a hibiscus refresher to wash it down. Service was quick, as no other customers were present and it hadn't even reached noon. The corndog and hibiscus refresher were served promptly within 5 mins. The premium beef tasted like a regular hot dog to me. It just didn't taste like it was 100% beef and had more of an Oscar Meyer beef/chicken/pork mixture taste. Moreover the corndog topping was pretty disappointing as the sweet potato topping was soft and not crisp while the corndog topping below was a little mushy and the hot dog itself had no snap of a solid casing. Their menu advertised that the up charge for sweet potato topping was $1.50 (in actuality, it was $1.90) plus they would discount $1 when purchasing a refresher in addition to a corndog; there was no discount applied to my order. On top of that, I had asked for no ice in the hibiscus refresher (as it was 49° outside today and nice and cool inside the food court). The lady behind the counter filled up the cup about 3/4 of the way stating that they usually put ice in so it wouldn't be strong. I said that it was okay and that I liked it strong. Despite that, she didn't offer to fill it up all the way. Customer service was lacking. read more

Located in the back of Queen Crossings food court, I ordered their potato and sweet potato dogs. Both of which I intended to get with beef but realized I ordered the dog with just cheese, nevertheless; I waited a few minutes because they're made fresh. The mozzarella dogs are nicely crisp on the outside, with the option of added sugar and different condiments like garlic and sweet chili sauce. I was craving for a Korean hot dog and decided to check this place out. It was raining hard so the food court was quiet. I was able to immediately place my order and decided on the premium hot dog. I had to wait since the order is freshly prepared. I also asked them to lightly sugar coat the hot dog (70% less). I had to take mine to go and was not able to eat it until an hour later. I microwaved for just 30 seconds for fear of it become soggy. It was still crunchy outside with slight chewy on the inside. The hot dog was a normal hot dog. No complaint here. Pricy as egg toast goes. $7.07 for the regular. The cashier offered me a chance to upgrade to garlic bread for added money, which I declined. As pricy as it is, taste and texture are on point though. I ordered the original: egg was silky smooth. Bread was crunchy on the outside yet soft and moist on the inside. The bread had 2 sauces on it: a slightly spicyish Korean orange evenly spread on the toast and a sweet mayo drizzled on top of the egg. This location specifically is my favorite one ! I have went to others in Ny but the flushing one idk hits different ! My favorite Is the potato with hot dog and I love dipping it in spicy Mayo my husband and my kids love the rice dog and the original with mozzarella and sugar on top ! I got squid one and potato one. I have tried the plain one in their chinatown location before. I prefer squid one and potato one because it is more crunchier. Potato one is very filling, so i couldn't eat more than one. I was dissapointed with avocado sandwhich. I always used to see these kind of sandwhiches in instagram and youtube from korea. I loved trying Oh k-dog at japanfes so I was excited when I stumbled upon this location in flushing. However, this was a disappointing experience. The person who was taking my order didn't really answer my questions so it was awkward and difficult to order. It wasn't crowded either and I was the only one there. I decided on what I wanted and ordered but then she gave me the corn dog just with sugar (see my photo). I wanted the sauces (ketchup etc.) but she didn't add any of that and didn't say anything and just said I can eat it like that. Had the bacon egg toast on garlic bread (extra $1.50), which consisted of a huge slice of milk bread sliced in half, but not cut all the way through, light fluffy eggs, & some bacon. I thought the sandwich was pretty good, but I'd probably need 2 to be sufficiently full. I think they add milk to the eggs to make it taste light. I thought the price was on the expensive side, at $8 a sandwich. Cashier seemed like he didn't want to be there. There was a nice selection of sauces, & condiments on the side. We got the Korean corn dogs from here before, and this time, we wanted to try their egg toast as well. The shop was easy to find in the Queens Crossing food court. We ordered the Ham and Cheese Egg Toast, Avocado Egg Toast, and the Cheddar Corn Dog. We also ordered a Pink Lemonade Slush to cool us down. For our Egg Toasts, we had a choice to upgrade the toast to Garlic Toast for an extra $1.50 each, which we did. Our favorite menu item was the Ham and Cheese Egg Toast. The sauce in this item made it stand out; it was a little sweet and spicy. The Avocado Egg Toast was also flavorful; it came with avocado slices on top. In both Egg Toasts, the Garlic Toast was a great choice. The Cheddar Corn Dog had a great crust, and we were able to customize what sauces we wanted on the Corn Dog ourselves. We put Gochujang, Siracha Mayo, and Sweet Chili sauce on it, which was delicious. Finally, the Pink Lemonade was so good at combating the heat, and it was an excellent mix of sweet and sour. The hotdog was $4 and it was actually kind of filling, so if you aren't too hungry and you are looking for a comforting hot meal, a korean hotdog would hit the spot. At oh k-dog they offer a pretty nice selection of items and the sauces for the hotdog is self service. After they finish frying up your hotdog you are given the choice of adding cinnamon sugar or white sugar; I'd recommend the cinnamon. I was very satisfied with the classic hotdog, and I must mention that the service was great. It was near closing time but the lady working the cashier was pretty friendly. Korean corn dogs have been a trending food in the past year so it's been on my list for awhile. The only other dedicated place I knew of was in Chinatown and that was too far for the cause. Thankfully this stall is now open in the Queen Crossing Mall in downtown Flushing (you'll find it towards the end/the restrooms). Overall, I think the corn dogs are worth the hype and as an occasional snacks when you're very hungry. I got the sweet potato half mozzarella and hotdog, avocado toast, and my friends got the classic and regular half & half. You get an optional roll on sugar, which we got on all of them. There's loads of options for sauces and other add-ons (mustard, ketchup, cheese mustard, Sriracha, parmesan, etc.) 5/5 Sweet potato half & half - it is hefty and will definitely make you full! I added ketchup as well as "cheese mustard" and would say that it wasn't necessary. The flavors were all a tad confusing for me at some point and I'd probably stick to 1 next time. The outer later is much bigger than the regular corn dog and does have sweet potato chunks. The cheese is gooey and stetchy, the hotdog was standard. Would get again. 3/5 Avocado toast with garlic bread (+$1.49) - The toast was fine, but definitely felt overpriced. The toast was thick and wasn't as fluffy as the Korean standard toast. The garlic bread definitely added good flavor to it. The egg was fluffy, but there wasn't much avocado. There was an avocado-like sauce which a bit too sweet for my liking and unfortunately made the bread soggy in many places by the time I got eating it. The bottom portion of the sandwich doesn't really have the fillings shown on the top so as a result you're eating a dense, somewhat dry (after the soggy) bread. Overall, I would visit again specifically for the corn dogs. The staff was also nice and they did accept credit card. The food didn't take too long to come out and was made fresh so that was all a plus. read more

My girlfriend and I were interested in trying Oh-K Dog as there were no other egg toast options in the flushing area at the time. We ordered the teriyaki toast with garlic butter bread and dubokki. The toast was good, but because the thick bread was only cut down halfway the filling was only at the top half. The dubokki, on the other hand, was disappointing. So many Korean hot dog places have been opening up in the area so I was so excited to see one open up near my workplace! The vendor is located in Queens Crossing Mall, next to Spice Bowl. I swung by after work on a late Saturday afternoon and ordered two #7s (half mozzarella, half hot dog). They make the order when you order it,, so that it comes out fresh. Since there were only about 3 people ahead of me, my order came out in about 5-10 minutes. Afterwards, the cashier asked if I wanted sugar on my hot dogs. You can choose from regular sugar and cinnamon sugar. I chose regular sugar. I also added some ketchup and honey mustard (as recommended by the cashier) and some honey butter sugar and cheese sauce. There's also gochujang sauce, regular mustard, and another type of sugar that you can add onto your hot dogs. Taste-wise, it was really good!! The cheese was warm and stretchy. The outer layer had a solid crunch. All the ingredients mixed together (sausage, cheese, sauces, sugar) made the hotdogs a great lunch/snack. Will definitely stop by again in the near future! I think I would give 3 stars for the corn dog but 5 stars for the egg toast. There's a ton of competition in Flushing for Korean corn dogs since there are 3 other places within a block or two of each other. Out of all the places, this was my least favorite. I was extremely disappointed in the fact that there was no sugar on top. It made the corn dogs taste pretty bland, even with all the sauces. However, I loved all of the options of the different sauces. There was an entire self service station with 10 or more different sauces/seasonings that you can use on your food. The egg toast was definitely the star of the show and the reason I'm able to give this place 4 stars. The egg was super fluffy and soft and the garlic toast was extremely flavorful. I like that they used some sort of sriracha Mayo sauce instead of the usual ketchup since I dislike ketchup. It was also very easy to eat because of the container it came in, as well as how the toast was cut. They made it into an egg pocket which is perfect for messy eaters like me! The egg toast was ($9) which is overpriced for an egg sandwich with one slice of ham. The mayo was overly sweet but the sandwich was packaged nicely for carry out. They have a variety of Korean corn dogs on the menu from original, with cheddar, potato, and rice cake. The server calls your number when the corn dog is ready and asks if you want it rolled in sugar or cinnamon. The best part of Oh Kdog would be the seasonings.
