I have heard so much about Oh K-Dog and I was dying to try out. Firstly, there's more to the menu than the K-Dogs themselves. There's definitely an array of variations to choose from and a few sauces to complement it. They also serve toasted sandwiches that are great for every hour of the day. They also have an ever favorite Tteokbokki which I had been missing for a while. The place was clean however I was disappointed about the plants. It's either have it, or don't. It shows how much effort was placed about the plants and it makes me wonder how much effort was placed into my food. I'm sure they take care of the kitchen well since it's the means the business. The dying plants sends off the wrong vibe and definitely not aesthetically pleasing especially in the current growth in social media platforms looking for that IG worthy shot. The service was great. I was there long enough to really have the time to eat my food fresh. I would definitely recommend dining in than take out though. There's nothing like eating food when it's piping hot.
This place is not OK. Unclean and staff preoccupied with phones. The tables are dirty, napkin dispensers empty, garbage cans full, sauce bottles sticky and the only toilet in the place was overflowing into the dining room. I thought I was getting a corn dog with cheese and sweet potato topping, but I actually just got a cheese stick covered in a very thick layer of batter, rolled in potato chunks and overcooked because the cook was on his phone. Tasted pretty awful too. Never going back.
I came back to try the tteokkbokki, and it was pretty good! Rice cakes were cooked perfectly, sauce is on point, and there were fish cakes and a boiled egg, which were nice touches. Personally, I could also go for a bit of mozzarella cheese melted on top, but this was pretty solid. And the portion is bigger than I expected! The rice cake corn dog, which I got rolled in cinnamon sugar, was a nice dessert treat. It reminded me of a churro with a chewy center. The only problem was that the rice cake is huge and kinda bland, and since there were no dessert sauce options, I didn't have anything to dip it in. If I got this again, I would do a savory version with extra sauce on the side so I could dip as I ate.
This was on my daughter's "had to have" birthday list, so we went for a drive to New Haven to check it out. Cute place with people in and out so definitely seemed popular. Could order from the computer or from a person. I opted for the human. The menu is extensive with a lot of options. Both my daughter and her friend chose the potato mozzarella (no dog). They loved it! Success! I had a bite because it was just an appetizer for our New Haven foodie trip... it would have filled me up. It was heavy for sure but delicious, flavorful, cheesy like it should be. I would go back to try something with a hot dog and maybe sweet potato because why not?!? It looked great!
I would add this for dog to my list of "foods that make you go mmmmmmm". I ordered the classic hot dog corn dog. The crunch is satisfying and it isn't salty in the way that most corn dogs are. If you are a lady, please give up the desire to very demure and ladylike because I don't think there is a ladylike way to eat a corn dog. lol I just tried to avoid eye contact as I crunched this thing... lol. It is "girthy" for lack of a better word and the center stick is definitely pretty substantial ... so no risk of eating any splintered popsicle stick wood or anything. Definitely would be back to try the mozz dog!
I drove 50 min to try their Egg toast and it was so worth it! I ordered the Bacon & Cheese Egg with Garlic toast. The garlic toast is a must for this sandwich, eggs were fluffy, airy and light. The sauce they drizzle on top is some sort of sweet sauce, reminded me of condensed milk almost but not as sweet and thick. I would def recommend you try their egg toast sandwiches, this not your basic egg sandwich, it taste delicious! Chef's Kiss! You won't regret it! Also for the Korean corn dogs, you can never go wrong with a Korean corn dog. I ordered half mozz and half sausage You must order the one with mozzarella to have the full on experience of the cheese pull! Check them out! I wish they had a location closer to Manchester.
This place is such a great place to get some grab and go food. It's basically like eating a large mozzarella stick and or corn dog but way way better. The mango slushy complimented the food. Having the ketchup with the food was so delicious. I would have thought to eat here if I didn't see it for myself. The staff is super friendly. I give kudos to a special staff member gal at the register who took my order that I hope when she reads this her manger should give her a raise ;) her recommendations of the food and how she handles customers with her charm is all qualities that will make you come back for more and to tell your friends about your experience. Put this on your must go eat list while in New Haven. If I could give more than 5 I would. Yelpers you must come.
My husband and I tried this place last week and it was great. The k-dogs were tasty, kind of wish that they would just have more creative variety but it's more of few classics. Egg toast sandwich was okay, I guess that it just depends on what you like. This one is about more sweet rather than savory. Overall a great place to come a have a quick bite.
Small, casual, counter service spot that serves up trendy Korean-style corndogs & egg toast. The hotdogs in the corndogs are low quality, but they are covered in a very tasty and crunchy rice cracker instead of the traditional breeding. They have a few different corndog varieties, many of which have other things in place of the hotdog The egg toasts are just as they sound, very fluffy bread that is stuffed with eggs. These also come in a wide variety of flavors, but I stuck with the traditional ham & eggs. I also got my toast covered in garlic for an additional cost The place itself has a few tables and a few counter seats overlooking the street, but there are not nearly enough seats for how popular the place is. To counteract this problem the place has an efficient system for wrapping their corndogs & egg toasts to go Also have a few Korean chips/snacks I got their traditional corndog & egg toast and they were both pretty tasty. Nothing to write home about, but they were both interesting new flavors. I am not dying to come back here, but I am glad that I tried it out. The downside was that it took a solid 10/15 minutes for my food to be made. This was surprising given how limited and simple the menu is 7

YouTube brought me here after watching "British People Try Korean Food" ... listen, YouTube is good for curious people. I ordered the Sweet Potato Mozza Dog and the Squid Ink half & half. The cashier drizzled honey mustard on the Sweet Dog and Ketchup on the Squid Ink Dog. I was so excited like hearing the launch of a firework take off but then it fizzled out so quickly, no sparks. The dogs had the creativity, the interesting names, the texture, the combination of sauces and ingredients, the fun but once the few bites were chewed and gone, no flavor. The hotdog wasn't savory, the mozzarella had the pull but didn't have the salty, the potato had a mild sweetness but not like the sweeter pancake batter taste of a carnival corn dog. The dogs had crunch, warmth , and filling but no lasting flavor. It was surprising how each ingredient didn't stand out together or on their own. I'm glad I tried it. I drove 40 minutes to New Haven and I do recommend people try the dogs but I won't be chasing these dogs again. PRO: Different, interesting, and fun food for kids too. CON: Lacked flavor and cost $16.50 for 2 dogs on a stick. read more

This is definitely gonna be a new gem and I see a great future with this business, a very unique Korean style hotdogs with tons of combinations is definitely something to look forward to! With Oh! K-Dog finally coming to CT it definitely puts a smile to my face seeing I don't need to drive all the way to New York for it, I look forward to ordering more and more combinations until I find a favorite. Though so far it's already been great, efficient and great customer service during the soft opening. read more

Our first k dog was sooo good we tried it with sweet chili sauce. Service was fast. The young ladies were also very polite. The place was clean and we they even had free K-pop albums for free ! read more

So delicious! My friend and I have always wanted to try Korean corn dogs and it lived up to every expectation we had. Staff is friendly and food was out relatively quick for it being made to order. Super cute inside too, very clean and they also have K-pop playing in the background with the music videos to watch while eating. Would recommend! read more

What a great addition to New Haven! Authentic Asian street food with great service and decent pricing! They bring a great Korean culture to such a busy and packed atmosphere. The menu ranges has a wide variety of options and you can add potato/sweet potatoe to any dog for an extra $1.50. They also let you pick ur sauces and do it yourself on a side table. Something that's different from other places, that I appreciated! This place is a must try for people who haven't!!! I'd recommend a potato mozz dog! So delicious! I made an account literally just to rave about this place- the food is delicious, the setting is beautiful, and the service was on point with the good old tablet to run my check. It was a beautiful time in a city that's faced some adversity as of late. Will visit again and again until my car breaks down, and even then I may walk. read more

THE PICTURES DON'T JUST LOOK GOOD .... They taste good too . If you were wondering it is real ink you can taste and notice the underling umami flavor makes it work it and for such a fair price. I'm not upset the sauce really took it to the next level I've never been dry so you won't catch me without the sauce ya dig. Ambiance is nothing spectacular to me but the inside decor is on theme. The service when placing my order was helpful didn't know what to get it sauces to put on it he was more than helpful answering my food questions. read more
4.5/5 Delicious Korean hotdog, egg sandwich, and tteokbokki place! We got the rice cake corn dog, potato cheese corn dog, tteokbokki, and original sandwich all for around 30. I think the best ones were the tteokbokki and the potato cheese corn dog. Overall, great experience and look forward to returning again. My only comment (-0.5) is the tteokbokki is a bit expensive ($10) and could be a bit sweeter. read more

Delicious Korean street food. Mozz dog is delicious. Make sure to get the right sauces and def with a mozz filling! It tastes more flavorful that way. Great ambience to the place and they have kpop playing on their tv. read more

Found parking right outside the restaurant and service was quick. I ordered the avocado egg toast and...it really needed seasoning. A little salt and pepper would have gone a long way. The sweet potato dog was the star of the show - sweet, crunchy, and a little salty. Would I drive to NH for a K-Dog? No, but if I'm in the area I may pick one up. read more

I was really looking forward to trying this place out as I know Korean hotdogs are a big thing, but I was a bit disappointed. There was SO much breading! And if you're expecting it to taste like a corn dog, it doesn't. I also thought the squid ink would've tasted different, but it tasted the same to me just a different color. The experience was fun, though, and I thought their selection of traditional Korean snacks and flavored milks was nice (I recommend the banana milk!). read more

I had a yummy lunch at Oh K-Dog this past weekend. Everyone was very nice and we didn't have to wait too long for our food, despite it being lunchtime on a sunny Saturday. However it was a bit crowded and the place itself felt a little cramped. Thankfully, we were still able to snag a table. We decided to try a drink and snack because we hadn't seen these options anywhere else. The snacks were fun - they had a bunch of different kinds of puffs (kind of looked like cheese doodles), so we ordered the chocolate ones. They were delicious and perfect to split between two people. I had a fizzy strawberry drink and nearly collapsed when I saw how much sugar was in it. Definitely not something you'd want to have all the time, but it was a nice treat. That's what I'd say about this place in general. I'm very glad I tried it and I'd like to come here again as a treat at some point in the future. read more

Located conveniently near Yale campus, it's a good place to grab a quick bite when you are feeling hungry! I highly recommend the Sweet Potato Mozzarella dog along with some sugar and sweet chili and honey mustard as the sauces. We also ordered the ham and egg toast (garlic). The bread was really soft and the packaging made it really easy to eat. read more

New Korean style hot dog joint! Went for lunch and it was crowded, but the line moved very fast. I had the #10 (hot dog coated in potato) and the #7 (half hot dog, half mozzarella cheese + cinnamon sugar). So unique and delicious. This was a real treat! read more

My boyfriend found out about this place. We went to go check it out and it was SO good! We don't eat meat so the vegetarian options were such a great addition to their menu. Tastes as good as it looks! Very busy place but the wait wasn't that bad. Can't wait to go back and try other options! read more

Stopped here because I have been dying to try this place. It did not disappoint. Get the cinnamon and sugar on everything and add the ketchup and mustard. It doesn't seem like it should be good, but it is. Obsessed with this place. So worth the time and the drive. Amazing. read more

Awesome little spot, very hip and new! Open till 11:00p in a pretty convenient area. I was able to park in a parking garage and walk 5 minutes, I mean, I drove 60 min.! There were a few tables inside and along the wall, but for the most part, it's a great "In and Out" type of spot. Took about 5-10 minutes to order, then another 10-15 to wait for my food. Great pescatarian options without a hotdog. I definitely recommend this spot! read more

As I sit here to write the review I am day dreaming about the fruit punch slushee, it brought me back to the childhood days of stopping at the local bodega for a slush puppy. The fruit punch flavor was extremely unique, refreshing and I love the small crunchy ice with every sip. As good as the food was the slushee stole the show, and that's a fact. Let's talk about service, the employee at the front was extremely accommodating, patient and had a bright smile. Oh! K-dog does a good job of immersing their patrons in South Korean culture with k-pop music videos playing to enjoy. The menus were very colorful and enticing (K-POW). Without going into every food item (which were all delicious) what really stuck out was the cheese filled potato dawg! (Can I get a oooohhhh yeaaahhhh?!) the cheese inside was creamy and surround by a crispy delectable shell consisting of their homemade corn dog batter with heavenly pockets of crispy French fries.
