It tasted nothing like cornbread. Honey butter was way too sweet. I got my sausage biscuits and gravy and the first mouthful had two long black hairs in it. I started gagging and asked them to take it away. They gave me full credit but did nothing to compensate me. I did not reorder and went without breakfast. Music was too loud and the acoustics were terrible. Everyone had to text each conversations. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Too expensive for what we got and certainly. Great ambiance. Its a kind of faux stucco brick that doesn't take itself too seriously, and our waiter dressed in a style that felt late-Victorian, again without taking it too seriously. The hot honey chicken was on point, salty and crunchy with just enough heat and sweet to add interest without being overwhelming. Casio and pepe had bright peppery notes and nice extra thick spaghetti that maxed out the al dented. Really as long as the menu sounds like the food you want, I don't know why you wouldn't go. read more

Atmosphere - I grew up in Syracuse and am always looking for a good place to eat while I'm home. First, I was surprised it was right across the street from where I graduated high school, the Landmark Theater. The inside was spacious and charming. l loved the exposed brick. I can see that Syracuse has really invested in its downtown area. Customer Service - We were spoiled! When they found out that I blog, I got a tour of the speakeasy as well. The service was attentive and fast. Food - Yum. They had a great brunch cocktail selection. I opted for the aperol spritz. My husband got a mimosa. His chicken for his chicken and waffle dish was crispy and fresh. The fried shrimp on the shrimp and grits were fried to perfection. If I had to complain about anything, it was that my husband did say that his waffle was overcooked. I also am used to having some kind of sauce when I have shrimp and grits. We checked out Oh My Darling for brunch the other day and will definitely be back! We didn't have a reservation but were seated right away (around 1pm on a Sunday). Our waiter recommended their special drink that day- a clementine cosmo- which we both ordered and enjoyed. The menu had a wide variety of breakfast options as well as some lunch options. I had the chicken salad sandwich with truffle fries, which was delicious. My husband had a sandwich which he said was very good as well. I thought the portion sizes were perfect- not too big or too small. I thought the inside was nicely decorated and the bar area looked really nice. The only negative is I found the space pretty loud and echoey. I'm looking forward to returning to try dinner! read more

Came here after a Saturday afternoon for brunch and the place was PACKED. Reservations can be made on Open Table if you have a party of 3 or more. They have 2 dining spaces connected to one another, so seating should be adequate. The place had unique decor, service was fantastic, and the food was reasonably priced. 1. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (10/10): To die for. Highly recommend this dish. The pancakes are fluffy with crispy edges slathered with lemon curd and berries accompanied with ramekins of butter and syrup. If they sold the lemon curd in jars, we would have a problem. 2. Chicken w/ Waffles (7/10): The waffle was too sweet for my liking. The chicken was perfectly cooked and cut through some of the sweetness, but was also topped with a sweet type of sauce and powdered sugar. This dish would be popular for those with sweet tooth's. *Alive & Kickin' cocktail ($11): 1911 cold brew coffee vodka, bailey's, Brooklyn cold brew, and coconut milk. I love the vibe of this resturant. It's perfect for ladies night, date night, business meeting etc. The staff members here are exceptional & very attentive. Our food came out quickly and piping hot. However my main entrée wasn't what I expected. My chicken appeared to be overcooked, the breading on the chicken was a bit dark and had a burnt aftertaste, my fries were also very overcooked. My sangria however was wonderful, spring rolls were tasty. I will definitely give Oh My Darling another try, I've heard so many wonderful reviews. I just went to a baby shower that was hosted here this past Sunday. Such a cute room for them to have it in! The server/manager(?) Matt was amazing - he catered to our every need and made the day just perfect! They served a buffet style brunch and my absolute favorite dish was the banana bread French toast - WOW! So good! The only reason I give this a 4 star was because of the somewhat inconvenient / awkward door in the back that led to the basement space where another party was being hosted. the only way (it appeared) that they could enter/exit was right through our space. The atmosphere was very cute and the staff very friendly but I'm afraid thats where it the positive review ends. I ordered the maple glazed salmon over corn risoto. I am usually not very picky when dining out so I didn't even say anything at the restaurant, but the every element of this dish was a disaster. The salmon was saltier than than my ex, dry as the desert and hard as a rock. It reminded me of a deep fried salmon brick with Aunt Jemimah syrup drizzled over the plate. Asparagus also dry and shriveled. Then the "risoto" which was literally just a HUGE pile of steamed rice mixed with canned corn. I mean, yes risoto is technically cooked rice but...you know technique matters right? Can't just throw some butter and stock in rice, throw in some canned corn and call it corn risoto. Don't over complicate things. Don't add things to your menu that are out of your skill range. Just stick to the basics. OR just stick to brunch and burgers. Can't mess that up. I heard that they have good brunch so I am willing to go back to try brunch, but for dinner it's a hard pass. read more

Absolutely enjoyed coming to Oh My Darling. The staff were very kind, and when asked if they could make a mocktail, they happily agreed and made me a delicious drink. I was very thankful for the adjustment since they didn't have any on menu. The spinach dip was delicious. It was more spinach than cheese, but it wasn't so much so that the dip was out of balance. We devoured it. The rosemary hot honey dish was delicious. I don't normally enjoy Brussels sprouts, but these were manageable and worth the chicken and mac&cheese. The chocolate tort was delicious, dense, and fudgy. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and plan to try the other items on the menu when we visit again. read more

The service of Oh My Darling was decent. The server was friendly and welcoming, but not attentive. You can tell that the place was short staffed because it was the same 5 people running the floor. The ambiance of the place was okay, it had the open space concept, clean white/ barn farm vibe to it. I had ordered the wildflower sangria when we first sat down and it came in a giant fishbowl looking glass ( maybe a 9 oz pour), but the second sangria came in a small wine glass with a LOT it ice( maybe 5 oz pour at best), and charged the same price for two different serving sizes ( 9 oz vs 5 oz). Shrimp and grits was okay; the shrimp was deep fried to perfection, batter was season well, but the grits were on the bland and dry side instead of being creamy and seasoned. Oh My Darling catered our daughter's wedding over the weekend. I can't say enough about how professionally they handled this event. We worked with the event coordinater for a few months ahead of time and she did a stellar job keeping us on track to get things done at certain milestones so that there were no hiccups at the end. The staff was amazing on the day of the event. They did a beautiful job setting up the guest tables, arranging the apppetizer stations, and stocking the bar with many of our special wine requests. The dinner service was impeccable and the guests were happy with their meals. Dessert and coffee followed the meal, similarly served with attention to detail. 8/10/2025 marked the very first brunch I and my friends got to enjoy in Syracuse, we were so enthused by the opportunity to try Oh my Darling. The reviews were generally good, and we were all starving. The restaurant itself is minimalist nestled inside a once industrial brick and rusted steel building. The vibe was definitely trying to be mid 90s Shabby Chic but was way more Hobby Lobby chic. We ordered 2 bloody Mary's and a white wine sangria which is almost a crime in itself. For food We ordered off what was described as their specialty menus, classic eggs Benedict, chicken sandwich with fries, corn bread and their signature banana bread French toast with a side of bacon. To say that this meal was disappointing woukd be an understatement, to start the drinks were not just weak but I would challenge to test the liquor content in the bloody Mary's which came with a garnish of lemon wedge and bar olive on a stick. The sangria was either weak flavored ice wine or cheap white wine, my partner described it as LaCroix light garnished with lemon and 3 berries. As for the food.....the chicken sandwich came literally as described a single charred to death chicken breast slathered in a mayo flavored garlic and passed as aioli, the bun itself was burned both inside and out and my friend maybe got through 3 bites, this sandwich was ice cold and served with frozen French fries. My other friends signature French toast, garnished with a vinegarette frise salad which did not pair well with the sweetness of the French toast. Thankful the French toast was so dense and dry that the chances of it picking up the flavor of the vinegarette would have been impossible. Thetr was literally no egg wash over this "French toast" it was literally super thick dry badly made banana bread.....And then there was the "classic eggs Benedict" im going to run out of characters before i can describe this plate. Whoever cooked this poached egg needs to go back to culinary school. These were rock hard cold single eggs on a slice of cheap charred maple syrup soaked ham slice set on a super dense cold crumpet. The store bought hollindaise sauce was ice cold and already separating and was completely not edible, paired with frozen ore Ida home fries that were so shriveled and dehydrated we questioned what day they were last reheated. Clearly no one in this kitchen has ever heard of salt in any capacity. This entire meal was over $120 before i asked to remove the eggs Benedict because I couldn't even pretend to eat it. 85.00 later and we had to go immediately to another restaurant to actually get food. I honestly feel robbed of my Sunday as well as my money. You should definitely try out the local Dennyls before wasting your money here. read more

Amazing weekend brunch spot in Syracuse. There's a lot of places in the Syracuse area that tend to do too much to impress for brunch. Oh My Darling is not one of them. Their saturday/sunday brunch menu provides a simple variety of options to satisfy a sweet or savory craving. The ambiance of the resturant was lovely, decorated with cozy Christmas decorations and diner-esque music. The service here is very good and waiters/waitresses are attentive wothout being over-bearing. Their coffee blend mixes hazelnuts with coffee beans which fills the resturant with a delightful scent. The coffee itself is wodnerful and hot. As for the food, the benedict options provide exactly what you'd esxpect from a benedict. Their homefries were notably well seasoned and cooked. Wow just wow- you walk in to lovely honeycomb tiled floors with high ceilings and extravagant lighting. I feel like it's a great mix of old style and new together. Seating is not too close to each other so you can still have an intimate party or have a large table for a big party. They staff is so kind and knowledgeable of the menu, all our questions of what was in dishes were answered without having to run back to the chef. And we were asked multiple times if we wanted more coffee or water. The drinks and brunch were absolutely fabulous- nothing was disliked. Stopped in at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. Wasn't particularly busy and we were able to get a seat outside. I'd never been to Oh My Darling before, but I've heard good things. Unfortunately, I wasn't left particularly impressed. My party of three ordered two drinks apiece and split two appetizers. The drinks were fine (I had a bloody mary and a watermelon margarita), but expensive. The bloody mary was also what the people in my party ordered and they complained that it was pretty watery. I think they were pretty fine overall though. We split fried pickles and spinach and artichoke dip. The food was not impressive. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly good either. The dip was bland and served with some strangely textured blue corn tortilla chips. The pickles were lightly fried, but upon a bite the breading came off. The staff was very friendly and attentive though so that's a plus. Oh and it's much better than their "speakeasy" place in the basement, at least Oh My Darling is clean. It's a spot for white twenty and thirty somethings to gossip and have expensive brunch, but not much else. I probably won't be back, at least on my own, but who knows. read more

Ate dinner here with my kids and appreciated the kids menu and coloring options, always nice when restaurants accommodate for families, though I wish they had a green veggie option in their kids meals instead of fries only. Also I wish juice or soda wasn't the only option for a kids drink. It is a hip looking restaurant but the food was not on par with the price. Oh my darling is one of my go to's if I'm venturing downtown whether it be for brunch lunch or dinner. They're always very accommodating and the food is routinely spot on. I went recently for brunch with my sister-in-law who would never been. Service was good although I thought it could've been a little quicker. It looked like our server had more than 5 tables to manage on a Sunday mid-afternoon brunch. I got the eggs Benedict original and it was delicious. The side of hash-browns were average and although the greens were fine, I'm not a greens person for brunch unless I'm ordering a salad, but the dressing was delicious could've done without, but that's just me. My sister-in-law got the asparagus and I believe him omelette which she said was good and my son got the banana bread French toast that was to die for according to him, absolutely delicious.
