I haven't been hear in about a year and it definitely EXCEEDED my expectations. I had to go with the signature stuffed French toast, my favorite item on the menu! It's chewy and sweet with the syrup and the sausage and all around delicious! The chocolate chip pancakes were crispy and chocolaty and sweet. I asked the server if they could make an exception for me and do one biscuit with gravy on top and she was happy to do so! It was so kind! I was craving some good old home style food for lunch. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich which came with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was a decent sized portion with 2 slices of meat loaf on white bread. The meatloaf was flavorful but we were both glad we got the gravy on the side.....it was quite salty. The mashed potatoes were homemade and delicious. The skins were mashed in (my favorite way), and it had a nice amount of texture. I was disappointed the portion was so small. Went to the restaurant for my very first time. I ordered a Big Blue Burger rare with fries. My friend ordered Comet Cyclone Burger medium with fries. My burger was well done. Friend's burger was cooked medium. I expected our waitress to check back in a reasonable amount of time so I could send my burger back. She didn't so I started to eat it. She finally arrived and asked how everything was. I showed her the burger. She agreed that it was cremated. I told her to forget getting a nee burger since both my friend and I were over halfway through our food already. She didn't even take my burger charge off the bill. I ate with a women's group at the diner today during lunchtime. They were able to fit seven of us into a rather large booth facing the street. Our server Crystal was excellent. Though the diner was extremely busy, she was on top of everything even topping off our coffees and water when needed. I ordered the Friday fried haddock sandwich special. It was reasonably priced at just under $13 for the amount of food served. The coleslaw was excellent as were the french fries. However, the fish had a very hard breading and was thin. Not the best I've had. I ordered decaf coffee and found it to be pretty weak. My dining partners were thrilled with their Ruben and hamburger. The interesting thing about the diner is that meatloaf permeates the menu. There's even meatloaf served between two pancakes. When I asked the server, why so much meatloaf, she said it's their specialty. Maybe next time that's what I order. read more

Went on Sunday afternoon with my family; I ordered the haddock dinner and substituted the fries for onion rings; the portion was HUGE. Two big mouthwatering haddock filets, a healthy bowl of coke slaw, plus my onion rings. Absolute perfection. 10/10 dinner. My mother in law ordered same thing - and reviewed it the same! We both took a filet home for leftovers. Kiddo got the chicken fingers/fries/applesauce meal, and from where I was sitting (next to him) they were the very very battered chicken fingers, so if you like the breading, that's for you. My husband ordered some kind of meat sandwich and not a crumb was left. The waitress was efficient and kind, not once were we left looking around for something we needed. It was pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon (2pmish), and we enjoyed that. Went in on a Monday thinking it would be dead but boy were we wrong. A friend and I Went to eat here because A. I Love Diners B. All the Other diners in the Syracuse area seem to close by like 2 (what happened to 24 hour diners) C. It looked good. The food did not disappoint. The place is very tight and it was difficult to be comfortable eating while squished between 4 other tables on all sides. We couldn't put our coats or purses anywhere except the back of the chairs or the floor. The service was quick, but we had to ask for refills of drinks. Food was good. We had a mix of breakfast and lunch at our meal. The French toast was pretty dry, but the sandwiches were delicious. I recommend the Rueben and the burgers others had looked amazing. read more

Bville Diner is my go-to for breakfast. We often go Sunday morning after 10:30 a.m for a lazy breakfast. There is often-times a wait, but usually ever long enough for us to go elsewhere. The wait is worth it! I have been eating there for years and have never been disappointed. The sourdough toast is amazing! I generally order an omelet or French toast. They will make the French toast extra crispy if you ask! The portion sizes are quite generous. In addition to the great food the 1950s diner decor is classic. It will take you back in time! This is your local typical diner - super busy on the weekends, but nonetheless food is good. The wait time wasn't too bad at all. Came here with my boyfriend's mom & sister and we only waited for 5 minutes on a Saturday 12pm. The service could be more efficient but it's like this for all diners, they're busy but are very nice. this vibes felt like your local diner vibes. i feel like they're known for their meatloafs because there were meatloafs to everything - meatloaf omlette, to meatloaf benedict, to meatloaf cristo. Usually just locals in here, I usually see some of the same faces when I'm there. Good for all 3 meals Now don't judge me but this is my go to place for liver and onions. They have something for everyone here. So you can be a picky eater and still find something. The food is always delicious and prepared perfectly. My liver is always cooked great and is wonderful. I have had pretty much everything on the menu and it's all very good. They get 4 stars because sometimes the jukebox is offline/not working and I don't think they ever change the song selection on the jukebox. Now, let's get into the good stuff and write my raving review for this diner and its food. I got the corned beef Rueben with fries. My wife ordered the turkey club sandwich. The fried dots in between were the cheese curds. They seasoned them with some Italian seasonings, which was different. But, they tasted really good. My Rueben was tasty and cooked just right. My wifes club was great, that's coming from the mrs. Of course. I had a chance to sample it, and it was defently smoked turkey that I had tasted pick Bville Diner. Was there on 9/6/25. Wife and I ordered Bacon, liver, & onions. On menu said it came with choice of potato & vegetable. Misty are waitress asked if we wanted gravy on mashed potato. We said yes. When got are food, portion size small. 1 slice of liver and an ice cream scope size of mashed potato with a little gravy. When got bill SURPRISE!! noticed it was more than the cost of what we ate as we got water to drink. When asked about extra charge told us it was for the gravy. $1.25 each for an extra charge of $2.50 for that very small portion. Waitress never told us extra charge for gravy. I have been to many diners & restaurants and have never gotten charged extra for gravy on mashed. Are they going to start charging for ketchup on French fries? For the price of the meal $15. each the portion size way too small, Extra charge for gravy and waitress Misty not very good and Girl cashier that threw the pen and bill at me and walked away. I love diners, especially those that lean into the "retro" vibe, and bville diner definitely does. Their breakfast menu is, in my opinion, the only part of the menu you should pay attention to. I have gotten a lot of the things on there and almost every one is worth getting again. The last time I went, my boyfriend and i got the bville diner fretta, which comes with scrambled eggs, italian sausage, red and green peppers, mushrooms, onions, and home fries. I got swiss cheese over mine and he got pepper jack. This comes in a half and a full size, i got the half size and honestly we could've even just split that. read more

For lunch today, I had the Bville Diner Fretta with cheese on top. It was outstanding! I only had a half, which was just enough.

As the saying goes, "it's like night and day"! Day shift is very attentive and makes sure everything is going smoothly. But I went for diner at 4pm and found it to be the exact opposite! I stood waiting to be seated for 10 minutes. I decided the place is almost empty and I need to use the bathroom, so I followed a waitress back (who walked right past me up front) to the bathrooms watching her stop at an empty table and just stare at it? This time when I came back I stood at the register and sure enough someone came up and just looked at me. I asked if I could get a seat, and then ordered dinner. I was told "we're out of rolls and was offered biscuits instead and stated one would be enough because they're "heavy". I intentionally went when I did because I knew it wouldn't be busy (hardly anyone was there) and yet it took almost 1/2 hour to get my food! The next time I saw my waitress was when I was almost done eating. She said she was going on a break and wanted to drop off the check. Not once did she offer me more coffee ($3 a cup) or ask if I wanted anything else. And then when I looked at the check she charged $2.25 for the biscuit! I got to hear complaints about customers and in general from waitresses in the front while I waited for her to come back. When she got back I went to her and asked for more coffee as I knew I wouldn't see her otherwise. Then I asked about the charge for 1 biscuit which was offered and she said "well I can take it off" as if I should say oh no leave it. Then I got attitude just to top it off! B'ville Diner began its operations at its current location in 1934.  The original Diner was a diner car named "Grady's Diner", which operated from 1934-1950.  It was then purchased by the Younis family who renamed it "The B'ville Diner." In 2003, Jim and Laura Orlando purchased the B'ville Diner and continue to own and operate the 50's style landmark located in the heart of Baldwinsville, NY. The wife and I had an impromptu dinner at B'ville Diner while driving through the town on our way to run some errands. We were looking for a quick place to eat, and it caught our eye, and we figured at 5 pm on a Sunday evening, it wouldn't be too busy. There were a lot of people inside, but plenty of open tables when we entered. Even so, the servers they had on staff were running around frantically, and it was a good 10 minutes before someone came over to sit us. We sat in a small booth right in front of the bar and were given our menus. There was plenty to choose from, as is with most diners, and there were a few things I was interested in. I was questioning what kinda food they served, as other than breakfast options, a lot of diners seem to lean on frozen pre made options over home made recipes. My wife chose a meatloaf club sandwich. I was interested in their Southern Fried Chicken and asked our server if they actually freshly battered their fried chicken themselves. She said she didn't know, which said to me that it wasn't home made. If it was, I'd assume that's a fact they'd know and make a point to tell customers. I opted for a friend buffalo chicken sandwich, as buffalo chicken anything tends to be my fall back when I'm at places I'm not sure of the food quality. Food was brought quickly and we dug in. My wife really enjoyed her sandwich. It was a double stacked meatloaf sandwich toppd with bacon and a chipotle sauce. I tried a bite and the sauce was pretty tasty, but I didn't get much of the meatloaf, but the wife said it was very good. My sandwich was a disappointment. There was absolutely no flavor to it, to the buffalo sauce or the chicken itself. The chicken was clearly frozen and pre made, and it was also a hard to handle sandwich, as it was 3 small fritter patties on a burger bun. They do have pretty good french fries though. It definitely has an old school, 50s diner look and feel to it. Service was fine, nothing bad or great. All the servers seemed very busy and constantly moving. Prices were more than fair, as both our meals came to just over $20, including a tip. Overall, it was ok. We may try it again if we're ever in the area, but probably for breakfast. To me, it comes off as a diner that is frequented and kept alive by regulars who have always patronized it, not exactly a spot newer, younger generations would frequent. read more

Disappointing experience 2 weeks ago and sent an email to Rest. Nothing heard back - not looking for anything just an acknowledgment perhaps. We walked in to your 1/2 crowded diner about 9pm. Staff look at us, we looked back saw the sign "please wait to be seated". No hello, welcome or hi! Just the awkward standing there as if we were imposing on the diner drama conversation of fellow staff! So after about 3-5 min of absolutely no verbal correspondence or even a finger or nod and the feeling that we were imposing because we were just there, we left at ate elsewhere. We understand as both of us have been in the restaurant business for years; that help today is not like help yesterday!! But losing the most basic concept in customer service of the "WELCOME"can be devastating! if you can survive the do - not care culture then BD diner is not for us. But come on BD, can do better than this! read more

Made reservations two days prior for a party of 14. They confirmed the reservation over the phone, when we showed up gave us attitude regarding that they don't take reservations ahead of time. It was my wife's birthday she was in tears and they offered no apology or compensary means. Manager never even apologized for the mix-up just blamed the person that took the reservation. Went for breakfast on Saturday 11/19. We arrived at 10:30 am and the place was buzzing. I figured a long wait but was told 10-15 minutes. Sure enough, inside of 15 min we were seated. The staff was moving quickly and agile filling orders. Our waitress came and took our order and delivered it to the kitchen and was off helping one of her other 8 tables. Coffee and hot chocolate came shortly and our food in another 10 minutes. Everything was hot and delicious. The fretta was loaded with everything you might expect and melted cheese. The meatloaf benny was on point. Tender meatloaf, perfectly poached eggs, and a delicious sausage gravy over the top all on a split english muffin. Home fries were crispy but not burnt. I will start as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. This was a nice diner to stop in to. I will probably stop in for lunch next time I'm in the area. The menu was just what you would expect at a diner lots of breakfast options, sandwiches, burgers, salads and dinners. The decor was classic diner with the mini jukeboxes at each table. They had classic model cars in cases on the walls. Very nice atmosphere to go along with the very nice staff. All friendly and greeted me with a smile. I got a chicken Caesar salad which if you have read any of my past reviews I'm sure you are shocked. It came out in a couple of minutes and it was just what I was looking for. It had a good amount of chicken that was cooked just right and not dried out or rubbery. There was just the right amount of dressing, Parmesan and accompaniments to lettuce that makes a salad good. Eating at the B'ville Diner is like going back to a happy days set. It's colorful and noisy with neon lights and the food is like the 60's. The menu is huge all the way from turkey and dressing to breakfast to Reuben sandwiches or olive and egg sandwiches or pretty much what a great diner would serve.
