I was craving some good old home style food for lunch. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich which came with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was a decent sized portion with 2 slices of meat loaf on white bread. The meatloaf was flavorful but we were both glad we got the gravy on the side.....it was quite salty. The mashed potatoes were homemade and delicious. The skins were mashed in (my favorite way), and it had a nice amount of texture. I was disappointed the portion was so small. Service was very good, our server was busy but very attentive and checked in and got us more water.

I haven't been hear in about a year and it definitely EXCEEDED my expectations. I had to go with the signature stuffed French toast, my favorite item on the menu! It's chewy and sweet with the syrup and the sausage and all around delicious! The chocolate chip pancakes were crispy and chocolaty and sweet. I asked the server if they could make an exception for me and do one biscuit with gravy on top and she was happy to do so! It was so kind! The food came out quick and warm and we were seating immediately. The booths are always so comfy and homey, the vibe is great, one missed this place!

I ate with a women's group at the diner today during lunchtime. They were able to fit seven of us into a rather large booth facing the street. Our server Crystal was excellent. Though the diner was extremely busy, she was on top of everything even topping off our coffees and water when needed. I ordered the Friday fried haddock sandwich special. It was reasonably priced at just under $13 for the amount of food served. The coleslaw was excellent as were the french fries. However, the fish had a very hard breading and was thin. Not the best I've had. I ordered decaf coffee and found it to be pretty weak. My dining partners were thrilled with their Ruben and hamburger. The interesting thing about the diner is that meatloaf permeates the menu. There's even meatloaf served between two pancakes. When I asked the server, why so much meatloaf, she said it's their specialty. Maybe next time that's what I order.

Went on Sunday afternoon with my family; I ordered the haddock dinner and substituted the fries for onion rings; the portion was HUGE. Two big mouthwatering haddock filets, a healthy bowl of coke slaw, plus my onion rings. Absolute perfection. 10/10 dinner. My mother in law ordered same thing - and reviewed it the same! We both took a filet home for leftovers. Kiddo got the chicken fingers/fries/applesauce meal, and from where I was sitting (next to him) they were the very very battered chicken fingers, so if you like the breading, that's for you. My husband ordered some kind of meat sandwich and not a crumb was left. The waitress was efficient and kind, not once were we left looking around for something we needed. It was pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon (2pmish), and we enjoyed that. Sadly this is a Pepsi establishment (we're diehard Coca Cola soda people) but they do have a nice lemonade if you're willing to venture out of the soda pantheon.

Quaint and fun inside truly a classic diner. Nice place to come for lunch or brunch. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good but you come for the atmosphere and it definitely gave the nostalgic vibe. Would come again if I am in the area but is not a place I would drive out for.

Went in on a Monday thinking it would be dead but boy were we wrong. A friend and I Went to eat here because A. I Love Diners B. All the Other diners in the Syracuse area seem to close by like 2 (what happened to 24 hour diners) C. It looked good. The food did not disappoint. The meat loaf was juicy and paired well with the savory brown gravy and whipped mashed potatoes. My Friend Said she Enjoyed her Panini but to her it was just normal. We both said we'd eat here again!

This place is super cute! The old time diner feel is awesome! The service was friendly, it was very busy in there but they managed to do a great job staying calm and working through the madness. The food was really good but the portions are gigantic! A bit too big.

The service was good, but the meatloaf sandwich was outstanding. I cannot overstate the quality of the sandwich I ate.

For lunch today, I had the Bville Diner Fretta with cheese on top. It was outstanding! I only had a half, which was just enough.

The dining room was spacious and clean and bright as were the servers and the bartenders who expertly served us. They have a happy hour from 5 to 7 that varies each day so on this Thursday was half price on selected appetizers as well as $2.50 domestic select drafts. We got there about 10 after five and the bar quickly filled up, which seemed to be regulars, which was a good sign. We decided to linger a little bit over our first drinks and ordered deep fried cheese curds with a delicious margarita type tomato sauce. I had never had fried cheese curds and they were plentiful and came out steaming hot topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, unfortunately I did not take a picture as we were hungry and dove right in. When it was time for our second drink, I pondered over their wine list, but decided that with my Reuben and mac & cheese dinner a cold draft would suffice. My husband ordered the Philly cheesecake sandwich and onion rings. The mac & cheese and the onion rings were up charges of $2.50 and they were worth it. The cheesesteak sandwich was not shaved beef, but wonderfully thick pieces of beef on a perfectly toasted bun type with cheese and peppers. The onion rings were generous as well as crisp and not overly breaded. My Reuben was perfectly toasted on a delicious rye bread with just the right amount of sauce to not make it soggy. The star was their mac & cheese served in a steaming hot crock! It was creamy, not too cheesy, but cheesy enough to know that you were digging into a delicious bite of mac & cheese.. well done kitchen! All in all the meal was so large we could only eat half of it and brought it home for another day. We would certainly return as we enjoyed every bit of our evening. The patio looked invited and will be opening soon. They also have live entertainment to enjoy.

She came back pretty quickly and took our orders . The calamari was not a huge portion, but was beautifully crispy and seasoned nicely. The warm tomato sauce went nicely with the seasoning. Our wedge salads were huge, and there were a nice amount of toppings. My husband said his Reuben was very good and so were his his chips which tasted homemade. Our server was excellent and checked in periodically to make sure everything was good. It was starting to get busy but she was efficiently keeping up with all the tables.

Menu is filled with options which made it hard to pick what to order which is an awesome "problem" to have, we all ordered breakfast and were not disappointed! I decided on the pancake/french toast flight and picked three flavors. I chose Cannoli French Toast, Reese's Pieces pancakes, and the loaded pancakes for a savory item. Cannoli was my favorite but they were all good, loaded even has an egg on top however you like it!Portion size is huge and everything tasted great!!!! They had a good challenge listed on the menu but none of us were up to the challenge! Service is amazing, and they even have a waitress warming up coffee, which I highly appreciate at places. The diner is busy but it was not too loud to hear your party and everything ran so smooth. All the servers were nice and seemed happy to work there! Menu price was shown using your card, they had a cash discount available if using cash which is a nice option! I wish I took pictures or everyone else's food but didn't. The drink options seemed amazing with make your own flights or their specials. The next time I am in the Syracuse area I will be going here to try more! Don't be afraid of the busy parking lot or wait time, it's worth it!! Also reading about the name and reason for this diner made me feel all the feels for the owners recovery, how can you NOT support a place like this??!! We will be back and can't wait to try more off their menu.

When my son's game at a local indoor center ran over by almost 30 minutes, I called and told them we would be late. They accommodated us and seated us immediately upon arrival. About 10 minutes later, at 8pm, the live music started. It was wonderful music, but where we were seated was in front of the speakers and two of our party wear hearing aides. When it looked like we were going to have to cut our celebration short, our server, the wonderful Marcy, and another gentleman, worked to get us seating in the lower dining room in front. We were so grateful for the accommodations, and everyone was super nice about it. The food and drinks were outstanding, of course. Our party ordered the chicken bowl, the chippy chicken, the curd burger, a cheeseburger, and the turkey avocado. Everyone was silent as they ate! The service was friendly and impeccable (even when we really weren't being easy customers), and our night, which could have gone south so quickly, was made! And hopefully a younger, hipper crew moved into our table and enjoyed the wonderful music! The band was great and we really enjoyed it still from where we ended up! So cheers to the staff at AG!
