    Friday fish fry special
    Deb B.

I ate with a women's group at the diner today during lunchtime. They were able to fit seven of us into a rather large booth facing the street. Our server Crystal was excellent. Though the diner was extremely busy, she was on top of everything even topping off our coffees and water when needed. I ordered the Friday fried haddock sandwich special. It was reasonably priced at just under $13 for the amount of food served. The coleslaw was excellent as were the french fries. However, the fish had a very hard breading and was thin. Not the best I've had. I ordered decaf coffee and found it to be pretty weak. My dining partners were thrilled with their Ruben and hamburger. The interesting thing about the diner is that meatloaf permeates the menu. There's even meatloaf served between two pancakes. When I asked the server, why so much meatloaf, she said it's their specialty. Maybe next time that's what I order.

Went on Sunday afternoon with my family; I ordered the haddock dinner and substituted the fries for onion rings; the portion was HUGE. Two big mouthwatering haddock filets, a healthy bowl of coke slaw, plus my onion rings. Absolute perfection. 10/10 dinner. My mother in law ordered same thing - and reviewed it the same! We both took a filet home for leftovers. Kiddo got the chicken fingers/fries/applesauce meal, and from where I was sitting (next to him) they were the very very battered chicken fingers, so if you like the breading, that's for you. My husband ordered some kind of meat sandwich and not a crumb was left. The waitress was efficient and kind, not once were we left looking around for something we needed. It was pretty quiet for a Sunday afternoon (2pmish), and we enjoyed that. Sadly this is a Pepsi establishment (we're diehard Coca Cola soda people) but they do have a nice lemonade if you're willing to venture out of the soda pantheon.

Quaint and fun inside truly a classic diner. Nice place to come for lunch or brunch. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good but you come for the atmosphere and it definitely gave the nostalgic vibe. Would come again if I am in the area but is not a place I would drive out for.

Went in on a Monday thinking it would be dead but boy were we wrong. A friend and I Went to eat here because A. I Love Diners B. All the Other diners in the Syracuse area seem to close by like 2 (what happened to 24 hour diners) C. It looked good. The food did not disappoint. The meat loaf was juicy and paired well with the savory brown gravy and whipped mashed potatoes. My Friend Said she Enjoyed her Panini but to her it was just normal. We both said we'd eat here again!

This place is super cute! The old time diner feel is awesome! The service was friendly, it was very busy in there but they managed to do a great job staying calm and working through the madness. The food was really good but the portions are gigantic! A bit too big.

This is your local typical diner - super busy on the weekends, but nonetheless food is good. The wait time wasn't too bad at all. Came here with my boyfriend's mom & sister and we only waited for 5 minutes on a Saturday 12pm. The service could be more efficient but it's like this for all diners, they're busy but are very nice. this vibes felt like your local diner vibes. i feel like they're known for their meatloafs because there were meatloafs to everything - meatloaf omlette, to meatloaf benedict, to meatloaf cristo. Not a meat loaf person so I got the classic turkey club and it was good and ate it all! their fries were also delicious and crispy - highly recommend. my boyfriend didn't like his monte cristo and thought there was too much meat but everyone else enjoyed their meal. Would come back here again!

Stopped by this wonderful 50's style diner loated in Baldwinsville. The service was right on spot for a diner. Quick and professional. Now, let's get into the good stuff and write my raving review for this diner and its food. I got the corned beef Rueben with fries. My wife ordered the turkey club sandwich. The fried dots in between were the cheese curds. They seasoned them with some Italian seasonings, which was different. But, they tasted really good. My Rueben was tasty and cooked just right. My wifes club was great, that's coming from the mrs. Of course. I had a chance to sample it, and it was defently smoked turkey that I had tasted pick Bville Diner. Overall, we had a very pleasant dining experience and will return for more of those. This will be my first 5 star review for a diner.

Chicken & biscuits (8/10) and Roast Turkey dinner (8/10); SO filling, definitely took home leftovers, and the staff was very friendly

When my son's game at a local indoor center ran over by almost 30 minutes, I called and told them we would be late. They accommodated us and seated us immediately upon arrival. About 10 minutes later, at 8pm, the live music started. It was wonderful music, but where we were seated was in front of the speakers and two of our party wear hearing aides. When it looked like we were going to have to cut our celebration short, our server, the wonderful Marcy, and another gentleman, worked to get us seating in the lower dining room in front. We were so grateful for the accommodations, and everyone was super nice about it. The food and drinks were outstanding, of course. Our party ordered the chicken bowl, the chippy chicken, the curd burger, a cheeseburger, and the turkey avocado. Everyone was silent as they ate! The service was friendly and impeccable (even when we really weren't being easy customers), and our night, which could have gone south so quickly, was made! And hopefully a younger, hipper crew moved into our table and enjoyed the wonderful music! The band was great and we really enjoyed it still from where we ended up! So cheers to the staff at AG! We will be back (and know where to ask to sit next time! Haha)!!

Staff is very friendly and accommodating (we were a party of 10 adults for a birthday as birthday girl wanted frogs legs) Frogs legs I understand were delicious and there were a lot of them when they arrived. Sorry I missed the pic of those. Haddock dinners were very good and everyone loved the fresh mashed potatoes and veggies. The buffalo Mac and cheese was a huge bowl of Mac and cheese with 2 tender breaded buffalo cutlets on top. (Meal fir days I think), turkey club and fries disappeared quickly and when asked how it was I got a yum a grin and a napkin wipe. I'd say very good. Steak was not as big of a hit. Possibly cooked to low too long, but a bit tough for those who ordered it. All in all we had a wonderful time, none of us wanted for anything during the meal as wait staff was very attentive, and the chef, Chad, came to our table to say hello and happy birthday to the 82 year young birthday gal. We will definitely be back. All 10 meals came out at the same time which really says a lot!

The dining room was spacious and clean and bright as were the servers and the bartenders who expertly served us. They have a happy hour from 5 to 7 that varies each day so on this Thursday was half price on selected appetizers as well as $2.50 domestic select drafts. We got there about 10 after five and the bar quickly filled up, which seemed to be regulars, which was a good sign. We decided to linger a little bit over our first drinks and ordered deep fried cheese curds with a delicious margarita type tomato sauce. I had never had fried cheese curds and they were plentiful and came out steaming hot topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, unfortunately I did not take a picture as we were hungry and dove right in. When it was time for our second drink, I pondered over their wine list, but decided that with my Reuben and mac & cheese dinner a cold draft would suffice. My husband ordered the Philly cheesecake sandwich and onion rings. The mac & cheese and the onion rings were up charges of $2.50 and they were worth it. The cheesesteak sandwich was not shaved beef, but wonderfully thick pieces of beef on a perfectly toasted bun type with cheese and peppers. The onion rings were generous as well as crisp and not overly breaded. My Reuben was perfectly toasted on a delicious rye bread with just the right amount of sauce to not make it soggy. The star was their mac & cheese served in a steaming hot crock! It was creamy, not too cheesy, but cheesy enough to know that you were digging into a delicious bite of mac & cheese.. well done kitchen! All in all the meal was so large we could only eat half of it and brought it home for another day. We would certainly return as we enjoyed every bit of our evening. The patio looked invited and will be opening soon. They also have live entertainment to enjoy.

I was not expecting them to be kid friendly, as they are a little more upscale, but they asked if we wanted a high chair and kids menu for our toddler! The dining room has clearly been upgraded recently and was beautiful! Our server explained the various menus and specials and quickly took our drink orders. However, service started to decline after this. We had ordered the warm bread basket, and never ended up getting it. By the time we realized they had forgotten about it, we didn't feel like it was worth it. Our salads and soups came out quickly, but everything else took a while. When we would finish one course, it would take 10-15 min to clear our empty plates. The waitress also didn't check in with us very often to see if we wanted to order more drinks. I will also say that more places should start bringing our young kids entrees before the adults. It can be very tough for a toddler to patiently wait 30 minutes for their food. Once we got our food, I will say everything was quite delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. Portion sizes were also great. I did find an unmashed chunk in my whipped potatoes, but the taste made up for that. The kids mac and cheese was also delicious and the portion was huge! For dessert, we had the option of creme brûlée cheesecake or flourless chocolate torte. Both were decadent and a good way to end the meal. We definitely want to give this place another try, as the food was good. They just need to work out some kinks with their service.
