I called and asked could they do dip powder fill. They said yea and that they had availability right away. They were empty when I walked in but they seemed nice and helped me right away. Customer service in the beginning was good but declined when they messed up my nails. First let me say that I always get my nails short and I've had fills before. I have never in my life dealt with this. They asked if I wanted it cut down and I did but not like this. She cut the nails from the bottom first. I have never seen them cut soo much nail at the bottom for a fill but everybody is different so okay. She then broke a few and just starting going to town on my nails. Then she cut the top to match where she broke the nails. She started drilling more and cut me. I asked her if she had something to stop the bleeding she grabs something and puts it on there. It can't get worse right. Wrong!!! She then proceeds to lay the acrylic on my nails. Now I know what regular acrylic and a dip is. She did regular on my nails and they came out super thick. They said they had to put white on top to alter the color because I wanted it to be green instead of what it was. So before she put the white, I told her that it looked too thick and messy. She said it was that way because I wanted it short. Excuse meee!! Nobody asked for it to be this short. I just wanted them slightly trimmed because they had grew a little. Then she started conversing with someone else who works there. Then she cuts them down to make them thinner and files them more and cuts me again on my other hand. I started bleeding again and she tries to stop the bleeding. At this point I'm just ready to go because I'm not about to go back and forth with someone who keeps saying that my nails came out this way because I wanted them short. When she finished I had polish all over my hands, cuts, they were uneven, bulky all over again, spotty in certain areas, and they are just atrocious so I asked her to just take them down because I don't have the time. Also I told her if she couldn't do it or didn't know how it was fine for her to have said she couldn't do it but don't do this to peoples nails. So she calls someone else over and they are saying they can fix it. She already butchered my nails and cut it all the way down how can you fix this. So the lady is like if you want us to take them off you have to pay for the first service and for us to take them down. I'm not doing that. I legit vocalized every step of the way and she cut me multiple times. Plus it still came out like this. The only thing the other woman did was sit me down to square them up more cause clearly that was the only thing she saw wrong. I then took a phone call and was expressing what happened and she kept talking into my conversation about how it was because I wanted them short and dipped. I took a picture of the business license because I one hundred percent am going to complain. 0/10 I can't say whether or not to go there but I can only say what my experience was less than an hour ago. This was my first time going to this salon and unfortunately will be my last. For starters I went with a friend for pedicures and manicures. She was sent to the back and got serviced for both- at the same time while I was sent to get my nails done (be mindful, it's empty and fully staffed). My friend was practically finished with both by the time he was completed. I was cut around my cuticle by my thumb and the man doing my nails was either new or unskilled. He was doing things such as cleaning my nail with another nail... which I found odd. I wanted a simple short, square nail set and had to coach him through it. A person working there tried to "fix" the problem but instead she told me to come back because I am "picky"...when all I wanted was what I paid for. They proceeded to work and ignored my concerns. I went to get my eyelash extensions done and they charged me 75$ after they said it would be 40$ this lady had no idea how to do eyelashes and I'm pretty sure she didn't have a license to do eyelashes because she said she "couldn't show me". They made my eyelashes come out and she coated my eyelashes in thick glue and it hurt to shut my eyes. DONT get your eyelashes done here they have no idea what they are doing. read more

Ugh. A friend of mine from Glen Burnie and I wanted to meet somewhere in the middle of our respective homes to catch up and get our nails done. We settled on Oh Nails seeing that they had decent yelp reviews and it looked clean. We arrived at 4:30 (on a Sunday, they close at 6) and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. Totally fine, it gave us a chance to just relax and chat.... an hour and 15 minutes later we were finally told it was our turn. There were only two women working, one doing manicures and one doing pedicures. It was relatively crowded for a Sunday evening, with all of the chairs in the waiting area full. The woman doing manicures started with me as my friend waited beside me. I showed her a pictures of what I wanted (ombre nails: http://www.addicted2candi.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/ombre-nails.jpg ), understanding that it isn't an easy design I asked her if it was possible and she said of course. She started with my acrylics which she left longer than I asked, I kept asking her to go shorter and she said she would file down afterwards (that never happened). (While all of this is going on, the woman doing my nails had called up one of her friends from another salon to come help out and do my friends... her nails turned out so awesome. Nail envy) Once she started in on the design it was clear she didn't know what she was doing, I kept waiting for her to blend the polish more to get the ombre effect but she didn't. Then she said she was done (I really wish I had a picture of what they looked like), I showed her the picture I brought again and said that I wasn't really happy with how they looked (which is always the most awkward). She explained that those might have been airbrushed, which I understand... but she told me in the beginning she could do it. Finally she just took off the polish, painted them one plain color, slapped on a top coat, and walked away to start cleaning the shop. No dryer, no cuticle oil, no good bye. Nothing. I was skeptical of its strip mall location. I was even more skeptical after waiting over an hour for my pedicure (disclaimer: there were 4 of us and we didn't have appointments). And, it wasn't the cleanest nail salon. But, I got a pedicure the day after Thanksgiving, and noticed on the day after New Year's that my pedicure was largely intact! I drive 30 minutes to Oh Nails only for WENDY! I love the detail that she puts into her work and her great attitude. She makes sure that I am happy before I leave every time! I usually go to her for eyelashes, as she applies them perfectly and pain free. I also get my eyebrows done by her as well. I have a picture in the photo area of one visit. I went there after COVID-19 and the owner of the place (Wendy) would charge whatever amount she could come up with in her head for her services. She usually charges $120 for mink lashes but she wanted me to pay $150. That's not what she usually charges. So I told her I would pay the usual amount. She said ok. She proceeded to place $30 plastic eye lashes with very thick glue without my consent. The lashes were stuck to my face when I woke up and some in my eyes. I thought I was going to lose my site. The quality of the mani-pedi I got was the worst I have ever had. My pedicure usually lasts for more than 2 weeks, this one started peeling off after 4 days. My manicure was even worse, it began peeling off on day 2. The only good thing about this place was their customer service...it was good! Not worth the money I spent though. I begin going to Oh Nails Dec 2014 for lash extensions. I was disappointed every time I scheduled a next appointment because I would feel scammed. Wendy changed the price on me several times and was even upset because I did not pay cash. When I first went to her, she did a eyelash extension on me for which I paid $30 plus a tip. At that time she told me she charged only $80 for a full install. The following week, I returned and she nicely raised the install price to $100. I was upset, but I paid her and still gave her a tip. She then wrote down on the back of her card that her regimen and policy was first 3 weeks was free for maintenance. Each week I went for maintenance, she on average only refilled 3-5 lashes max and she was done under 2-3 minutes. I always tipped her even though there was no cost during the maintenance period. Going into my second full reinstall with her, I followed up with the weekly check. This time,on the third week, when I asked her for an appointment, she nicely decided to charge me for the third week as well as raise the price $40-$50 dollars. I pointed out to her, yet again that she was unfairly changing her plan and her policy this time. So, I took a pix of the business card where she wrote down her policy and told her that I was tired of her constantly trying to nickle and dime me. I told her that I tolerated her bait and switch tactic before because she does good work, but her lack of integrity was ridiculous. Sooo Disappointing. I suggest that you make sure that you have her write down what you are allowed within her service and maintenance plan EACH time you go to her or else she is going to play those games. Also, Always pay with credit card to be safe so that you have proof of service. No one likes to be taken advantage of and one should stand behind their work, work ethic and their word. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for years (3-4). I love the service and the staff is friendly. I enjoy my french manicure and Wendy always gets it right. Every time i get my nails done someone at work or at a store always compliments my nails and ask where i get them done at. I use to live in laurel so this salon was really close. Now that I've moved to ft. Washington its a hike to get to but i still make the trip. I have tried salons closer to my new residence but they just can't get it right. This was the worst experience I have ever had. I was going for something like an ombré French manicure for my cousins wedding. Before I even agreed to have my nails done here, I showed a picture to the gentleman standing at the register of the look I was going for and was continuously reassured that they could achieve the look. He began working on my nails, and I assumed that he being a professional, knew what he was doing. At some point, he beckoned for me to take a look at my nails as if he was finished. I was very confused because it looked like I had only a clear coat on my nails. I asked him if he was finished and he said yes. That is when I told him that my nails looked nothing like the picture I showed him. He was very nice about the situation and tried finding different colors to help, but it was still horrible. He ended up applying a sloppy and lumpy coat of white nail polish to "fix it." His co worker begins to make comments like, "you should have said something by the first coat he applied." And I'm thinking how on earth would I know that the end result was going to be a disaster by him applying one coat? I ended having to pay $50 regardless of the fact that my nails were disgusting and I was not helped to resolve the issue. I never raised my voice or acted out of character, but I was treated as if they could care less that I was not satisfied. I am not a difficult customer. I worked retail for years and understand the struggle. But if a customer is genuinely not happy about something, you try to rectify the situation.
