    Teriyaki Salmon

Impressed? No. Was it bad? Not really. The restaurant is clean, the service is average, now the important subject is the food. I had a spam Musubi and hot the spot. Then I had my entree , teriyaki salmon and I was a little disappointed, the fish too salty, I think the star of the dish was the macaroni salad, but for the rest, not good or bad, just dull. I might come back, just to try the Loco Moco and give it another try.

Aloha, Taquito Titans and Gyoza Gurus! I rolled into Ohana Island Grill on a quest for flavor, and let me tell you--I left feeling like I'd just done a cannonball into a Polynesian punchbowl of deliciousness. Appetizer MVPs? The Lumpia and Gyoza came in hot (literally and spiritually). Lumpia were perfectly crisp -- not soggy, not overcooked -- like little Filipino taquitos that got their PhD in Crunchology. Gyoza? Golden-fried pillows of joy. The dipping sauces? Sweet, sour, soy, and sent-from-above. I was double-dipping like a rebel on vacation. The Seafood Combo Platter (feat. BBQ Chicken): This thing had more hits than a 90s boy band. Shrimp and white fish were battered in that beautiful thin layer that says, "I'm here to enhance, not smother." The tartar sauce played wingman, but I cheated and dunked the shrimp in sweet & sour + soy -- a flavor mashup that had my tastebuds throwing a luau. Then came the BBQ Chicken -- boneless, likely thigh (aka the Beyoncé of chicken cuts), grilled just right. Thin, juicy, and packing that subtle smoky flavor that whispers, "Aloha, bro. I got you." Service? Quick and friendly -- the kind that makes you feel like you're part of the 'ohana, even if you just met them 42 seconds ago. The Vibe? Well... this is where things go from Moana to Meh. The layout screams "fast casual" with a bar that's more like a mirage -- it looks like a bar, but functions more like a decorative suggestion. I wouldn't plan your happy hour here unless your idea of a bar scene involves a solitary stool and mild confusion.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - ordered a BBQ Mix Combination Plate based on recommendations and a Chicken Katsu. The Chicken Katsu was amazing! Tender chicken that is moist fried to a perfect crisp. Unfortunately, the BBQ plate was nothing to write home about. Salty overall and heavy taste of just soy sauce and sugar. The beef felt like scrap pieces, the chicken was okay, and the short ribs were decent in texture. Service: 5/5 - quick and straight forward service. Don't expect Amercian hospitality but she got the job done. Much more friendly to guests who speak Chinese. Ambiance: 3/5 - there was a soft Hawaiian music playing in the background almost completely drowned out by the humming from the refrigerator or AC. The humming did stop but started again. The tables and chairs were clean with some Chinese characters decorating the couch. Value for price: 3/5 - the Chicken Katsu was great and definitely worth the price based on taste, quality, and serving size. The BBQ plate was not worth at all even though it's a recommended item!

We were intrigued to taste Hawaiian food. The ambiance is cute. There is a tiki bar up front and walls decorated with tiny surfboards. You order at the counter, and everything is brought to you in to go containers. We started with lumpia it was okay. I got the BBQ mixed plate, and my husband got the chicken katsu. He loved his plate that came with a massive pile of fried chicken, two small scoops of white rice, and 1 small scoop of savory macaroni salad. The macaroni was served warm. My bbq mix came with 1 short rib, 2 chicken thighs, and 3 small pieces of beef teriyaki. I liked the teriyaki. The chicken was tough, and the short rib was sliced was very thin. It didn't really taste like much. Most had a heavy soy flavor with little other nuance of flavor. My husband loved it and got tofu fried rice togo. Overall it was ok. I would have liked more freshness. Most things were deep fried.

We ordered carryout and enjoyed everything we tried. How can you not love a place that gives two carb options (double Mac and one rice or all rice). Lots of flavor and the fried stuff was crunchy after the drive home and a good amount of time after. Musubi was the right amount of sauce:rice:spam or kastu ratio. The pork on the loaded fries was seasoned way more than I would have guessed. Will try the kalua pork with cabbage next time. Lumpia was solid but I don't believe it came with sauce but I'm not certain and it was fine without.

Eggcellent!!!!! I cannot vouch for authenticity but soooo yummy. Favorites were for sure the loco moco, garlic shrimp, and butterflied fried shrimp, but everything was delicious. I didn't eat inside the store so cannot attest to anything there but it seemed very cute and quaint! The server who handed me the takeout also went out of their way to advise me to call them in the future to directly place an order because they were worried about me being overcharged on DoorDash. The resistance is strong

Cool little place for a quick meal. I had the teriyaki beef plate and absolutely loved it. The large portion came with rice and macaroni salad. The beef was tender, juicy and had just the right amount of teriyaki sauce on it. For those visiting this restaurant for the first time, you place your order at the counter. They only take few minutes to make your fresh meal. The service was friendly. The food was prepared quickly. The food was reasonably priced. I'll definitely be returning to this restaurant.

This cute little restaurant is on the outside of a busy shopping area. Walking in I was greeted warming and noticed it was clean and tidy. I am new to Hawaiian food but the lady patiently explained what all was in each thing I asked about. I got the shrimp and pineapple fried rice with a side of Kalua pork. It was amazing! I eat gluten free so no soy sauce in there for me, but wow! I don't know how they made it so delicious but it was.

Stopped by to pickup dinner to take home, but I will say that the inside looks nicer than the outside of this small strip mall restaurant suggests. My wife went with the Pork and Cabbage while I ordered the Loco Moto. We were both upsold to the "regular" size versions of the entrees from the "minis" by the nice lady behind the counter... and we were good with it. Both entrees provided enough food to be full without yielding leftovers. Taste-wise, the gravy *made* the Loco Moto. It saturated the beef patties and the rice underneath, which is a very good thing because the eggs and rice don't add much in the flavor department. The macaroni salad that comes with the dishes is a notable upgrade to the rice, but it's unfortunate that you only get one scoop. The Pork and Cabbage dish had a pleasant flavor, but it could have used some gravy/jus/marinade to moisturize the dish. There's a lot more to explore on the menu. Maybe there's a five star dish is out there. You'll enjoy the journey either way.

I was so excited to find a restaurant that serves Hawaiian bbq in Dublin! As soon as I walked it, I noticed how cutely decorated this restaurant was and within seconds a smiling cashier greeted me. I had placed my order online and was picking it up and she told me it was being bagged as we spoke. Their online ordering is very user friendly and I loved that they texted me the ETA. Anywho, as I waited for my food, I got chatting with the worker and she was super kind and she told me they have only been opened for about a month. The food was delicious and fairly priced. The macaroni salad was my favorite - just the right amount of creaminess to it! The plates come in a mini or regular size but the "mini" was plenty of food for me. If you're in the area, I totally recommend checking it out. I can't wait to come back and try other items.

    Lumpia, loaded Kahlua pork fries

I was really excited to try this place, and I'm glad I did. The menu is full of new and familiar dishes I couldn't wait to try. The service is so nice! Like family! There is a water and condiment station that I saw in other poster's pics, so eating in we didn't know if we just got those ourselves. Nope. They'll bring you everything you need or ask for. We started with the lumpia and loaded kahlua pork fries, and if we ate nothing else we could have left happy. The lumpia was perfect and clearly cooked to order. I was pleasantly surprised that their dipping sauce wasn't too sweet, but I'm used to a garlicky vinegar. The kahlua pork is worth going back for again and again. And idk what that gravy was made of but I'd take it on anything. I ordered the bbq beef short ribs and husband got the pineal fried rice with tofu. I was VERY happy with the short ribs. Cut thin (think rib tips, or the ribs at a Korean BBQ spot), marinated in soy sauce, and that BBQ sauce! Again, I expected sweet and got savory deliciousness. Husband said I ate like a maniac. I'm ok with that. The ribs came with macaroni salad and that was a creamy break from the beef. I poured the rest of my sauce over the rice and bed of shredded cabbage and ate every bite. Husband would have the pineapple fried rice again, and try it with chicken next time. He said it's wasn't as special as he was expecting, but he liked it. We took home an order of malasadas (donuts) for the kid and they were so fresh when we left Dublin, they were still piping hot when we got to Worthington. All in all, really good and really authentic. It's not fancy, but it's delicious

We wanted to try somewhere new and it was close by. We were glad we decided to give them a try. Service was great and all the food was delicious. The portions were large.

I had been a couple Hawaiian BBQ places here in Columbus and finally went to Ohana Island Grill. Their format is quite similar to other Hawaiian BBQ places. You would order your food at the front counter and you can seat yourself. They are the only place that offer Saimin, which is Hawaiian noodles soup. I was craving for the rice plate, so will have to try that next time. If it is your first time trying out Hawaiian BBQ, definitely recommend to get the combination plate. So that you can try different meat at once. I got the BBQ Mix Combo, which come with Teriyaki Beef, BBQ chicken and BBQ short ribs. Along with some rice and macaroni salad. Also, consider pair the meal with some Musubi. All the food is packed in a to go box. The meats are pile up and sit on top of some shredded cabbage. Both the rice and macaroni salad nicely presented in scoop shape. All the meat is well seasoned and with their slightly sweet BBQ sauce. The shredded cabbage also help to clean out the palate as well.

They promptly provided quotes, answered all of our questions, and made the planning process seamless. One of the biggest conveniences was being able to purchase our beer and wine wholesale directly through Hoggy's, which eliminated the need to coordinate with an additional vendor. On the day of the picnic, the setup crew arrived on time, was friendly and professional, and handled the entire setup process for us. Fast forward to this weekend, gave them a second try without eating lunch. That did the job. I had a bit more appetite and appreciated the food a little better than the prior week. The meats at Hoggy's are smoked for hours. There are a lot of BBQ places in Columbus and this is average for me. I liked the cheesy potatoes and broccoli salad as sides to the ribs. I agree with Mark that the sauces aren't necessary here. I ate my meats (ribs and brisket) without the sauce. There is enough flavor on the meats in my opinion. I know I will be back again soon for more BBQ. I will just have to be more open minded again to trying more.
