Not necessarily a ton of smoky flavor from either, but both were tender, juicy, and delicious. Unfortunately, the collards were not to my liking. I hail from western NY and I can count on one hand how many times I've had them before and only once from a true southern/soul food joint. In this instance, I found them slightly bitter with the stems still quite crunchy and the juices on the less than pleasant side. I very rarely don't finish food and I couldn't do it. However, my coworker who also got the collards said they were fantastic, so I guess it's a preference thing. The potato salad honestly wasn't my favorite either. It had like almost an acidity to it that was different and slightly interesting, but almost a little overpowering for what I normally find to be a pretty low key side (for mayo-based potato salads, anyways).
