Tiffany was an excellent communicator. She was very responsive to all questions and remained in contact throughout the entire process. Chris was our guide and he was a really great guy! He was encouraging and helped make the experience the best possible. We just aren't kayaking people. Not their fault! Chris tried to keep everyone engaged and, when the kids wouldn't get out of the boat, brought sea life to them. I had anticipated they may not want to snorkel, which is why the clear bottom kayak was so important. Unfortunately, we were thinking it would be crystal clear and it was not. It almost seemed like there may be a film on the kayak...or maybe the day at Turtle Town just wasn't as clear. Either way, if we ever decide to try it again, it will be with this company. We went on a clear kayak tour with Kyle, and we had a blast! I was skeptical that we would see any turtles, but we all saw at least 5 turtles along with fish, eels, and coral. Our group had a mix of different experience levels when it comes to kayaking and snorkeling. Some people had never done either, and they were able to take instruction from Kyle and keep up with the rest of the group. Kyle was a fun guide. He did a great job keeping us all safe and finding a pace that worked for everyone in the group. He took photos of each group while we snorkeled, so we all got to go home with photos of us with the turtles. I'd definitely recommend this tour! read more

From phone and website making arrangements, to the tour itself, our experience was flawless. Tiffany was great helping us with the arrangements over the phone. Curtis and Kyle were outstanding in getting us set up with snorkel equipment, into the kayaks, and out into the bay. We had kids ranging from 7 to 17 and Curtis and Kyle were great with the kids. Snorkeling was great, we stopped in two places. The second was turtle city and the kids had a ball watching all the turtles. The kayaks wear stable and the backs were more adjustable than normal kayaks, great for the two of us with back problems. Kyle was amazing with the pictures--we are really glad we got the optional picture package, what a great souvenir of the trip! It was a totally awesome experience. From the moment we walked up to the moment we walked away - this was a PHENOMENAL adventure! Kyle and Curtis were knowledgeable and helpful consistently, every step of the way. The glass bottom boats were clean and made the trip to snorkeling an adventure in itself! Instructions were clear and easy to follow, making the experience most enjoyable! We saw schools of fish, less sighted native fish and they took us to where sea turtles tend to be and we got to see lots of them while snorkeling! What an adventure! It was an incredible experience where I got to see tons of sea turtles, other tropical fish and the state fish of Hawaii! The guide was incredible and I learned a lot about the area. Unfortunately, it was a more cloudy and windy day, so it was tough to see through the kayaks, but having clear ones was very cool. Even the water was a little cloudy to see through so the fish were not as colorful. It was definitely easier to get in and out of the kayak than I expected, but the kayaking itself and the snorkeling were much more difficult. I definitely would recommend this only to strong swimmers. Even though I had a life jacket on, the last swim back to the kayak was draining due to the current and the wind picking up. I got a bit seasick just from sitting in the kayak even after taking drammamine. I'm glad I did this adventure but would only recommend for the strongest swimmers and hope that you get a calmer day. read more

We originally were scheduled to go to the Turtle Town at Makena, but we got a text about a day and a half before the tour that the weather conditions are not great and they offered to reschedule or to switch to a different location or a refund which I thought was great in that they communicated it and gave good options. We chose to switch to a different location at the "turtle cleaning station" in Olowalu and they were able to push the reservation back half an hour to give us time. When we got there, it was easy to find the tour and we met our tour guide Kyle who was super nice and friendly. He went through all that we needed to know about kayaking and safely getting out into the water and he successfully guided us out without any issues. During the tour, he was really nice and funny and was attentive to everyone's needs. I coughed once and he asked if I was okay and he also was attentive to others to had trouble with their masks which I appreciate. He was very informative and taught us a lot about the turtles and he also provided us snacks and water. I would definitely recommend this especially since it's supporting a local company! read more

We went out today with Kyle S while on Maui. Their team shifted our location and promptly notified us the day before when they found out our original location was going to be murky due to weather. I am extremely grateful they shifted plans because we had an absolute blast and got to see so much- including turtles up close!! You can even see a lot just while kayaking and looking through the clear bottom. This was our first trip to Hawaii and we chose Maui as the place to visit. Clear kayaking (kayaking in general) was also a first for us. And our guide Javier was awesome. Even though the other group (two people) joining our large group of 6 was 45 min late which was a bummer, he was great. And our adventure was awesome. We brought our GoPro with us, if you have one bring it! We used the selfie stick and tethered it to the kayak and threw it overboard and just towed it behind us. And let me tell you it was worth it. When we got back to the house and watched the video there were so many turtles that we missed with our eyes and the best part, we caught whales singing! Javier even took the GoPro down and and caught some Great footage of some turtles swimming as we chose not to go snorkeling after a long day of snorkeling the day before. If you're having any second thoughts about whether you should book this adventure, just do it! Our group of four signed up and there were two other people with us. It was not overcrowded at all. My husband is in a wheelchair and is super athletic, but he needed a little assistance here and there. Jeremy was awesome about it, even though this was his first "wheelie" (and to our fault, we forgot to tell him ahead of time). Please note, this is NOT a wheelchair accessible experience -- we were just experienced and confident enough to figure it out when we got there. Luckily I was strong enough to backpack my husband out into the water where the kayaks were waiting. Once we were loaded up, we had a fantastic paddle in our clear kayaks to a coral reef where we snorkeled and saw tons of fish, turtles, urchins, corals, etc. It was gorgeous!! Jeremy also dove down and brought a few urchins up to the surface so we could touch them. He took photographs underwater and above water with his camera, and we received them just a few hours after our tour was over. Getting the photos and going through them with our crew was definitely one of the highlights! Jeremy also emailed us with places to eat, other places to snorkel, and a few places to go spot turtles (which were on point and allowed us to see 16 turtles and a seal). He was so helpful, friendly, and welcoming -- this was truly a fantastic experience, and we would go again anytime! read more

Well, I had reservations for Friday morning. On Wednesday evening, I was with the family in Hana and my son dislocated his shoulder. We were in Hana Health for 2 hours. He is now in a sling and recovering. Cell reception in Hana is non existent and the Hana Kai hotel has no phones in the room. I was able to reach out on Thursday afternoon and advised them that my son is injured and will not be able to paddle. We needed to cancel my reservation. They said they could only refund my son and not the parents. There was no way we were leaving my under 16 year old in the house by himself while on medication. I mentioned that I understand it was less than 24 hours but we had an unforseen injury. I also asked of they can at least refund 1 of the parents, but greed persisted and they said no. They insisted that my wife and I can still go. Earlier in the week we went on a bike tour and the family that was scheduled to rider with us had to cancel that morning due to an injury. They were refunded the entire adventure since it was an unforseen issue like mine. Kudos to Maui Easy Riders for taking care of their customers. I sure the kayak tour would have been great but the heart and understanding of the owners leave alot to be desired. At least my son is recovering. read more

Jeremy was kind and made sure the kids were the center of attention while snorkeling. We saw several turtles. My kids like it better than the the Molokini snorkeling trip. Seriously the best on water experience I've had. Clear kayaks mean you can see the coral, lava, fish, turtles without leaving the kayak. Jeremy took us to snorkel where there were at least five turtles and lots of fish. I'm not a strong kayaker or snorkeler and I felt extremely comfortable. I stayed in the water and saw everything and knew Jeremy was their in a second to help if needed. Jeremy helped my partner learn to free dive, so clearly all levels will be delighted. This was the best thing we did the whole trip! We have done two other snorkeling trips and this one was by far our favorite. We say so much sea life and numerous turtles.
