We have been this restaurant once or twice in a month since we moved here. We were always with our 2 kids who is 5yrs and 2yrs old and for 2yrs was free for AYCE until last time but they charged this time. Asked why and she said "the chef said so". We just paid since didn't want to get a trouble but will look for another sushi place. Their service is not bad but depends on server. Drew the short straw today. If someone want to go here with your little ones and want to do AYCE, ask if they charge for kids before order. read more

First time here. Must say this is one the nicest Japanese restaurants I've seen. The place is very clean inside and out. The employees seem to take pride in their workplace as the atmosphere and food are excellent. The prices are reasonable considering the quality is quite good. 3.5, would be 4 if it weren't for the initial service. Would still come here again. For some reason, the best thing about this place is the miso soup. It has more sophistication than most miso soups are AYCE sushi places, so I was genuinely surprised. The woman helping us at first had a heavy, indecipherable Korean accent and was very brusk. Wasn't too happy with her overall service and dismissive behavior, and it definitely didn't help that she was very slow to help us despite the restaurant being completely empty save for 2 tables. But the food was pretty all right. They have an interesting variety of rolls that I haven't yet seen around the Inland Empire, so that's nice. They have a lot of different kinds of Philadelphia rolls too, which was a pleasant surprise. So, to be clear my family has been to this place 4-5 times in the last 6 months and through those experiences my general impression has always been, "not bad." The sushi is okay, the service is meh, the prices are typical. It's never been "recommend to other people as often as I can" good, but good enough to go back and try again. I feel like we've given this place every chance, but tonight was the nail in the coffin as far as us no longer coming here. My wife and two children arrived at around 6:00 PM right as the dinner rush was picking up. We ordered our first round of All You Can Eat as well a kid's meal. We got our food at an appropriate time considering it was just starting to pick up. So we ordered our second round when ready and then patiently waited for it to come. Long story short, we waited 45-60 min (my kid watched 2.5 episodes of his favorite Netflix show) before any kind of food was placed again in front of us. During this period we didn't complain once and tried to be super patient. Finally, one of the youngest waitresses approached us and asked if we were needing anything else. We explained that we were still waiting on our food. She immediately apologized and explained that they were in their busiest time of the day and were also short one sushi chef. She said she would go check on our order and left. She returned about 15 mins later and explained that she had asked the chef to start our order first. Did you catch that? START our order. So we ended up waiting another 20 min before they finally brought some food. When they did they brought out 2 types (4 pieces) of nigiri (fish on top of rice - simple). Our order was for at least 6 different types and one small roll. But again, we waited without a complaint trying to be understanding and figured the rest would be out soon. About 10 mins later a different waitress brought out 4 more pieces (2 of which were ones that were already brought out) and she stayed, "okay, there you go, that's everything right?" Yeah, no. This is where I finally depleted my patience for the day and I said we would just be leaving. But it doesn't end there. We went up to the register to pay where the owner of the establishment stood taking payments. I finally made my first complaint to them there franky hoping that they offer some sort of discount as a show of apology/service for the poor service experience we just had to deal with. He simply said, "oh I'm sorry. We are short one sushi chef today," and then proceeded to charge me for the standard $30 per person without blinking. Honestly, I get that it was super busy, in fact most of the waitresses were doing their best and were apologetic when they needed to be. But if I just had that kind of experience because you couldn't handle your own staffing, that's not my problem. Manage your staff better then. And if you actually care about your customer's experience in your establishment then do more to make sure they leave happy because I certainly didn't. My choice to just pay the ticket and walk out without making a scene was more respectful than the owner's attitude towards service. Needless to say, we're not going back there again. Nor will I ever recommend this place. read more

This place is great! Their Chicken Ramen and Spicy Chicken dinner entree were flavorful and well made. Especially their ramen; they cook the chicken seperate from the soup then add it in which makes it better cooked than some other places which seem to cook in the broth. As other reviews have stated their miso soup does not taste generic (like it came out of the same packet everyone else uses). It had a fresh and unique taste. As far as service goes; usually they will not stop by your table when its busy. You'll likely need to flag them down but when you do so they are very attentive and willing to help. The atmosphere is wide open, comfortable and modern. Will come back for their sushi and see how that is. read more

I understand there is COVID and that it was valentine's day, but that is not to be used as an excuse for poor customer service. When I placed my phone order, I should have been told that it might take longer than usual. Maybe the restaurant was not aware it will take that long, if this was the case then apologize and give me an estimated wait time instead of telling me other people are waiting for their food as well. I ordered food and was told it will be ready in 25 minutes. I arrived eight minutes past that with assurance my order is ready. It was not. There was no one available to help me. Please be considerate of customers and their time. A phone call to let me know my food is delayed and that I will be waiting an additional 30min once I got there would have been helpful. I could have ordered elsewhere. Due to the poor service and unorganized environment, I decided to leave without my sushi. This place is only 5 min from me but I don't think I will be going back. I will have to find a new sushi place, where each customer is valued and treated as individuals with their unique expectations. read more

I've returned numerous times afterward, and then we have today, party of 10 no good, messed up are order waitress was rude ,we tried explaining our order, but she just shook her head and said " yes I know I know" , well took over and hour to receive our sushi. We kept asking what was the hold up? First it was to many people came at once, then it was "we only have two chefs " and then it was it was almost ready. Very disappointed, if I had a samurai sword I would have helped the chef's in the kitchen. Question is it rude if people speak a different language in front of you? This is a good place, I'm a regular there and the waitresses are already nice. The rolls are delicious and the octopus sashimi is amazing.

I went here a few weeks ago because my regular sushi restaurant was closed. Well, my regular restaurant has now changed. The food at Ohana's was fantastic. The tempura was probably the best I have ever had, and the sushi was wonderful. I told my sister and niece about it, and they went yesterday. Usually I really enjoy this place. However, today was the worst experience. My family and I went to have lunch. We asked if we could be seated outside and a waitress said yes. As we were approaching the table to be seated, the waitress said we were not able to eat outside anymore because it was too much trouble. I found that unfair as other parties were outside. Let me please state, that we only have 4 individuals in our party. She was extremely rude and unfair. We had to leave. In 6 years I've only had 1 wrong order but it was on a really hectic night at my house so it really screwed things up having to drive back over. They did give us a free roll though. Try the Ohana special with fried onions. Other Kids like the chicken teriyaki, my kids like that bit prefer the sushi. read more

The Ramen is awesome especially on a cold day. the chicken Yaki soba is great, there has only been two places that I have actually loved this dish and this is one of them. We had all you can eat sushi here and everything was really good!! Especially the baked monster rolls!! The price was also really great as well; only 25.99 per person for all you can eat. Last night, I took my Family out for dinner at Ohana Sushi in Mission Grove. Everything started out good. We ordered two adult all you can eat meals and one child all you can eat. I ordered a Sapporo and when the waitress brought it to me, she informed they didn't have any clean beer mugs. She told me I would have to drink out of the bottle. I asked her to just bring me a plastic glass to drink out of. At this point everything after was bad. They brought us fried calamari which was undercooked and raw, they shorted us on the Halibut we ordered and then told us they ran out of Halibut. To top it all off, they never brought us our S.O.S roll or the sashimi we ordered. This was just our first round order. We marked the sushi we wanted for the second round and after the waitress took it; We waited for about 25 minutes before asking for our sushi. The waiter told us our order was next at the sushi bar. We waited another 10 minutes and I asked for my check. They tried to bring a plate of sushi but I told them we didn't want it and to bring our check. *****Our check was $110.00 and we will NEVER go back again.******* I feel like when you pay $110 for three people to eat all you can eat sushi, I shouldn't be shorted on anything or have wait 30 minutes for a plate of sushi! read more
