This place has a great iced matcha latte. I can't speak for the coffee here, but came here because of the positive Yelp reviews regarding the coffee. When we visited on a Monday afternoon, the shop was not overly busy, but there was a steady stream of customers walking in and out to get drinks, sandwiches (or maybe burritos?), and gifts. I'm not sure it's the kind of place I'd sit and hang awhile or work in my laptop though. My iced matcha with oat milk was so refreshing and just sweet enough--I actually asked for a bit more sweetener and they graciously added some syrup without charging me extra--and this drink hit the spot on a hot summer day. I love this coffee shop so much. We have been here a few times and every single time we have been treated so well. The coffee is amazing and I was told that they are the only coffee shop who roast their own beans. We always buy at least a pound of coffee and get lattes. When you buy a pound of coffee, they give you a free coffee as well. The gifts in their little shop across the hall are so adorable and they have quite a large selection. They even sell coffee and latte machines. Every single employee that we interacted with was lovely. If you don't feel like going into the shop, they do have a drive-through. read more

My colleague and I stopped here on our way home from a conference in need of better than hotel coffee. Surprisingly, I'd never stopped by. Service was quick and wonderful! Stopped by Ohori's to grab a coffee on a Sunday morning. It wasn't very busy but staff weren't particularly friendly. It happens, ordered an 8oz mocha and my partner got a blueberry muffin. The mocha wasn't bad. It wasn't overly sweet which is good and how I like it, but the espresso was a little too bitter for my taste. It could have been much worse though. My partner said the blueberry muffin was one of the worst she had ever had. Now, I get it, this is a coffee place not a bakery but a muffin shouldn't be that bad. It seems like this spot has potential with their extensive variety of single origin beans so maybe we hit them on a bad day, but I don't know that I would be back. read more

lol, i should have known to turn around the moment i smelled the char in the air, but no... i continued on, and not only was the coffee beyond burnt, but the service was actively rude. don't go here. so, for some context, traveling from seattle, i'm a little bit of a stereotype. i love coffee, and i love to try local roasters when i travel, and bring home beans from new places. i like my coffee quite a few rungs less-roasted than charbucks. dark roasts don't do it for me. they taste like carbon bricks and brimstone. and that's kinda what the air in this cafe smelled like. but hey, i'm on vacation, there are only so many roasters in town, so why not try it out. so i go up to the counter. their customers are already more kind than their staff, who just stare at me (at least i got a 'hello' in the hallway when i came in from some random patron). i ordered a cortado, my usual. and when they ask how many shots (a question i'm not used to. here, it's always standard 2), i paused and thought 'hmm if it's as dark as it smells, and if there are other places i wanna try, i'll just do 1 today.' they laughed at me. and without looking at me, said that their customers all go for 'at least 3.' and then proceeded to make my drink. i laughed it off and said 'well, i'm trying to pace myself,' but boy did that make me feel awkward and bad. not something you wanna make a customer feel. so then, they continue to not address me (i'm a very social person, so it's not a common situation), and then the barista puts my drink on the counter, without even turning to me, let alone addressing me. i say thank you and leave. i managed through a couple sips but just couldn't stomach how dark roasted their beans are. i poured it out, and went to the good stuff, later to iconik, both of which were head and shoulders above in atmosphere, coffee, and kindness. read more

I really like the flavor of the coffee, feels like a hipster blend you'd get in a cool area of a big city for $4-5. Except mine was $2. Score! She loved her cafe au lait. And it was ready almost immediately. Only downside is there isn't seating in the cafe, just in the more industrial style food court next door. Walking through Santa Fe on a cold rainy October afternoon, I needed a coffee. So I hopped in here, stood in line to order and saw they were not really busy but moving unusually slow. So I zipped into the restroom to give them a few minutes then came back out to order. Three times the lady behind the counter looked at me but never addressed me so I waited a little bit longer and realized these people simply don't want to take my money. So I moved up the street to another coffee shop where I was greeted with a smile and bought a great cup of coffee. I want to love this place, hmmm, but maybe not their espresso. Not sure if its a local preference thing or what, but the espresso here as well as the one in Iconik are both overpoweringly bitter, yet not that aromatic. With my previous experience at Iconik, I decided to order a mocha instead of my regular latte here just in case it's too bitter. Glad that I did. Even with the chocolate in it, my drink is still very bitter. Other then that, I like my experience at this local shop.
