I've been here before and the food was ok, nothing to brag about so I didn't have high expectations. Arrived at 12:30. Got a table right away on the patio. I like the vibe and all the dogs. Took an hour to get our food. I ordered the pastrami with sweet potato fries. The sandwich had no sauerkraut on it. Our server asked if I wanted it remade or she could bring it on the side. I opted for the side. She came back to tell me they ran out of sauerkraut. Why the heck wasn't this communicated before they made my dish? No, they tried to pass off something I did not agree to. I would have ordered something else. She asked me if I wanted something else. I said no, just take it. I couldn't sit there another hour while they made me something else. My friends would have been finished long before my food arrived. I've never had a restaurant do that before. They always come back and say sorry, we are out of XYZ. Would you like something else. The 2 bites I had of my "pastrami" sandwich weren't even good. The sandwich was so dry, probably from the lack of kraut and the meat was tough and chewy. There was hardly any sauce on it. We arrived after 9. We sat at the bar area. We had three different people helping us. We finally got our food however since it was close to closing we were rushed. The staff literally cleaned up as we were trying to enjoy our meal. They did mention last call for bar service but I think they should have waited to start sweeping all around our area. Came here on a recent visit to the area with my family and we had a wonderful visit! The patio is huge and the weather was mild so we hoped to sit outside but we were also dining with a 2 year old so we took first available which happened to be indoors. That being said, they had big windows facing the street and they were all open so we it was almost like we were outside! Our server was kind and accommodating of our toddler and even switched out our highchair for a booster seat when it became obvious the high chair was a tripping hazard. Service was a little slow but it was very busy and it was a Friday so that's not a complaint, just an observation. Food was good. The toddler enjoyed her first time eating mini corn dogs and her uncle finished them off what she didn't eat. Her meal had the option to come with fruit so we got that and she was happy with the selection. I ordered the steak frites and was a little surprised to see the steak on top of the fries upon arrival but it was still good. Wife ordered the shrimp tacos and they were SPICY! The Downtown Gilbert OHSO location is known for it's fun, spacious, and dog-friendly patio. It features games, a full bar, and a big screen all situated right behind the two-story brewery and restaurant. It's perfect for game days. We visited OHSO with my group of four one Saturday afternoon. The brewery was buzzing, especially in the outdoor area. Although some lawn chairs were stacked to the side, there were plenty available for use. We managed to find four open seats and got comfy. We saw lots of families with picnic blankets. We ordered a variety of drinks at the bar as well as a giant pretzel. The cocktails were good and the service was fast and friendly. The pretzel was amazing and came with three dipping sauces. Although it took a bit of time to arrive, it was understandable given the crowd that day. We had a wonderful experience and will certainly return! read more

I have been to OHSO a few times and never really been a fan, I haven't found anything on the menu that made me want to come back. My friends wanted to go to OHSO yesterday evening which I wasn't super thrilled about but decided to give it another shot. We stood for a very long time prior to having a host come by to seat us. Once seated out waiter Braedon seemed like he had several tables and wasn't super attentive. We started off with the chips and guacamole which was pretty decent. I then ordered off the seasonal menu and went with the spicy vodka rigatoni and added chicken. The chicken was pretty lackluster and chewy, the noodles were overcooked but the sauce was really good. As I was eating I saw something in my pasta which I found to be a toothpick fully submerged in the sauce. We were trying to get the attention of our waiter who had not come by for some time and he didn't end up coming back until everyone else was finished with their food, I had stopped eating once I saw the toothpick. I did alert Braedon of the toothpick to which he replied "I have worked here for 2 years and have never seen that happen, sorry" and the proceeded to hand me my bill. My husband and I went on a date night here and it was so fun! The firebird spicy chicken sandwich was so delicious and the fries were so crispy and seasoned well. My husband got two of the local beers (delicious) and I got a margarita (also great). The patio was busy in a good way and the vibe is fun. I'm surprised I haven't tried OHSO yet but for a big friend mixed gathering from our fb group to in person meet n greet it was the perfect outdoor space for that! We took up about 5 tables all shaded with misters above us and right in front of the bar. They had some really good mixed tropical type drinks as well as a great brewery beer selection they make. It's dog friendly too so next time I'll be sure to Bring my little bestie! My only qualm was that the bar staff was not very friendly. We probably had 3 different bartenders at different times and all of us commented at one point in the evening about how low key rude or unhelpful vibe they put out. The food here is always delicious! I got a brisket skillet and my friend ordered fries. They were ridiculously fast with their food! Hot and yummy! The brisket came with over medium eggs, brisket pieces and fries with some type of sauce. Not a huge portion which was perfect! My only complaint would be the service and our drinks. Super dry and came off annoyed. We ordered bloody Mary's. After a few sips. I noticed the Bloody Mary mix was sitting on top of the bar and not chilled... like you could see the red mixture sticking to the plastic. As well as their jerky sticks not being covered. Neither of us finished our drinks. And noticed the guy beside us who had been there a while , not finish his either. I never got a refill on my water and we were not checked on until they visibly saw our cards out ready to go. I will for sure be back as the atmosphere and people around us were cool! Not a bad place to grab a Dinner bite. We used to go to the OHSO in Scottsdale, which I think I prefer to this location. However, everything was satisfactory. The interior was spacey, the staff were decently attentive (until we needed the check), and the food was pretty good. We host alumni socials throughout the year, and this one at OHSO - Gilbert easily ranks near the top. Two things made the difference: the food and our server. The atmosphere at OHSO is already dialed in--comfortable, lively, and exactly what you want for a social event--but I knew right away the evening would run smoothly after my first interaction with our server, Jasmine. She was attentive without hovering, actually listened to what we needed (a rare skill), helped with setup, and stayed prompt and personable all night. Her interaction with our group elevated the entire experience. She didn't just serve the event--she helped host it. Food-wise, the sliders, wings, and pretzel bites were spot on. Perfect portions, easy to enjoy while mingling, and consistently good across the board--exactly what you want for a group gathering. The real win? Our alumni left comfortable, happy, and with a great impression. And when people enjoy the experience, they come back. That matters. I'm confident the food will be just as good next year. The REAL STINKER is the FANS on the PATIO. These suckers are so loud that you can't hear yourself think. They could slow the RPMs down to 10% of what they have now. It would still stir up the air and you could talk w/o shouting. The industrial duty fans are four feet in diameter, and are extraordinarily unpleasant. I'd rather suffer the heat than have these BEASTS keep me from communicating? If they would fix the fans, I'd give them a five. But I just don't care to shout to be heard. read more

But i specifically want to come on here and shout out my server last night, I don't remember her name (I want to say Alyssa but we had two servers and this is specifically for the second one who took over my table) she has what looks like black hair that looks like it may have had some platinum streaking in it, but she had a hat on so it was hard to tell. And I think a pink spiky eyebrow piercing?? Anyway I was on a first date and while he was in the bathroom she came over to check on the table and when I told her it was a first date she asked if we should come up with signal to close the tab in case it wasn't going well, I wish we had more time to come up with that signal because it was starting to get red flaggy. Don't want beer? They also sell seltzers and mixed drinks. On this particular January Sunday, there was a football game playing and a handful of us wandered over after brunch nearby to catch the game. We went to the back section, where there were a multitude of picnic benches, chairs, and some heat lamps. There's also plenty of televisions and a giant screen for your viewing pleasure. OHSO all over the valley is our go to spot anytime we have visitors from out of town. We had friends visiting that wanted to see a game and I chose this location specifically because of the Jumbotron and park area. The set up is really cool, you can scan a barcode at the tables in the park next to the outdoor bar and order food, they bring it directly to you while watching the game. Menu is large enough there's usually options for everyone. Great happy hour menu & awesome drink selection. Our server this past visit was so sweet and gave us great service. I can't remember her name but she had hand designed her own OHSO shirt! I complimented how cool it was and she told us she made it! She recommended a beer that would be the closest thing to a sour and it was perfect. They also make a really good Bloody Mary too, it comes with a piece of jerky and my husband is obsessed with it. As a MN resident who loves a great brewery, this place topped the charts! The staff were immediately welcoming, helpful, and pleasant to chat with. The drink menu and food menu were outstanding, they even had dessert on there. The crème brûlée was phenomenal and gorgeous. The many seating options were great for anyone, including families. The patio area has games, arcade, and even outdoor viewing for sports. The dog grooming building attached was a wonderful touch for those with pets who wanted their fur baby to have a bath and they could have a drink or lunch while they waited. The fam and I arrived here around 11 on a Saturday in January. We were going for an early lunch situation. Safe to say, it was packed in there. We were told it'd be about a 25-30 minute wait. We didn't feel like walking anywhere else, so we stayed at the bar they have in the back and waited. Fortunately, we were just getting done ordering drinks at the bar when they texted us saying a table was available. It maybe took seven minutes (no where near 25-30 minutes). I was in the mood for something sweet (when am I not?) I saw the words "fruity pebbles" on the menu and knew I HAD to get the fruity pebbles French toast. It was on their brunch menu, and they only have brunch available on the weekends, so it was now or never. I made the correct choice. That signature fruity pebble flavor was packed into each bite, and the mascarpone filling was a nice addition. I appreciated the fact that the fruity pebbles were quite literally cooked in with the bread. Some places put stuff like this on their menus and it's just regular toast with cereal sprinkled on top. HOW LAME. Not here! The berries on top could've been a little riper though. My dad got the chicken and waffles and it looked tasty, but he said he'd give it four stars. Another part that brings this rating down is that when you pay, you can't see an itemized bill since everything's done electronically on those handheld card readers. This isn't usually an issue, but we did get a plate of eggs randomly brought to the table when no one ordered eggs. There were also different people bringing out the food and drinks, so it's not like there was any consistency. I just don't want to be paying for something I didn't order. On the flip side, their brunch menu deal where you can get a beer/mimosa for one cent when you order off the brunch menu is pretty solid in this economy. read more
