I tried coming a couple days in a row and each time there was a 40+ min wait right in the middle of the day. Eventually I had no choice but sit and wait. I waited for an hour, only to get in the shop and have them tell me that they wouldn't do the emissions on my car. The team members there were nice I suppose, but I wasted a good portion of my day, which was frustrating.

He broke it to me that the car required more repairs than it was worth, and that my current shop was not doing a good job at maintaining my car. Maybe he felt bad for me, maybe he wanted to make a show of good faith, but he didn't even charge me for the diagnostic in that instance. I ended up selling that car for scrap and eventually buying a new car. I brought the new car in for a pre-purchase inspection and WOW, Jessy and his team really showed their true colors on how thorough they are! They checked absolutely everything. They even checked the cabin air filter because he told me that a rodent had built a nest in it. They found things that other shops had missed. Is there such a thing as being too thorough? Jessy might be! But I'd rather have my auto shop be extremely thorough and triple check everything rather than be sloppy and miss things. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality is obvious, right down to how they require appointments for their shop. They want to make sure that every single car gets the attention it needs. I can't recommend Mike Palmer enough and even though I don't live in the neighborhood anymore, I will make the trek to come back here for my auto repairs and recommend them to all my friends. Jessy is a truly honest mechanic who just wants to help you do your best to maintain your car. How do I know? They're not trying to make money nickel and diming you on easy fixes. He could have fixed the cabin air filter for me without asking and taken the easy win but instead he said, that's an easy fix and I easily figured out how to replace it on my own. At this location, everyone was doing what was supposed to be doing, from air pressure to battery check, changing oil/filters, etc. It did function like a good oiled machine. 3 bays, all functional, extremely clean, everything was new, from tools to computers. Just a reminder, to all of the potential customers, it's just oil change and simple maintenance. He said it was our fault when there is video footage of that not being the case. 2 weeks later a customer rep called me to discuss what happened, she said they apparently Kevyn told my wife that there is a piece of weather stripping loose and my wife refused to let them fix it which is a LIE. Also, even if that was the case, what kind of mechanic would see a loose piece of weather stripping and not just put it back on??? It would take 3 seconds. They are always honest about their pricing, even when it is higher than other garages in the area. They have explained to me why they would charge what they do, and if I can't afford that, where to go for cheaper service. Because of their honesty on that front, I trust their judgment and pay them more. So heads up, service may cost more here, but I felt like they were honest with why.

We were told after making a call to a shop that its probably the alternator considering the battery change didnt fix the issue. They also told us that they werent available to take it until the next week which wasnt an option for us because we had to get back for work. I went on Yelp and Best Buds Mobile service popped up with 5 star reviews so I called. The gentleman that answered was genuine as explained that we thought it was the alternator. He gave me a quote that was within what I was willing to pay. I asked him if he had a number to a tow place so I can get it towed to them. He said "its ok we come to you". I was surprised but then "duh" it says "mobile" in their name. He also told me it would probably be about and hour and a half for them to repair. WHAT! It really did seem too good to be true. The shop we had previously called quoted us double what these guys quoted. They literally showed up within 30 min they arrived at that Maverick parking lot and probably less than the time frame he told me it would take them to fix it we were on our way back to Provo and now we are home and our car is running perfectly! These guys are a gem! I Googled the cost to replace the alternator and they were within the range. So Im going to say they are honest. I wish they were in in Vegas. But now we know if there are any car repair needs for us when in Utah or our family we will be reffering Best Buds Mobile Services. I had originally been quoted $3,000 from a Toyota Dealer (which was pretty steep) so I asked Yelp for help and as always they came through!!! Kasyn was on time to our appointment and was very knowledgeable with Toyotas/Lexuses so he got right to work!! He was quick, efficient, and way under budget. All together this project should have run me at least 1,000 anywhere else, but Kasyn only charged me $250 plus I purchased the parts for $160 so from being quoted $3,000 to $1,500 to only spending $410 with Kasyn, you can imagine how happy I was. I would highly recommend him! And will be using him in the near future!!
