Ed took the time to see why it wasn't working correctly & I had shared with him that earlier in the day I had removed my spare. He noticed the wires weren't connected properly (from the place I just left) allowed me to reconnect so I wouldn't "fail" inspection & have to take another day to come back to redo it. So grateful to Ed! I get free safety checks thru the dealership but to me it's worth paying to get in & out instead of having to drop off my vehicle for the day. Totally worth the extra low cost. My suggestion, if you're in a hurry in the morning, you're better off coming at 530am to be at the front of the line. I arrived at around 630am and I was the 5th car in line waiting. I waited till about 845am before it was my turn. So if you're thinking it'll go by quickly...it does not. So dedicating a good portion of your early morning to get your safety check done is a must. There's only one guy who's able to do the safety checks so being patient will go a long way. I believe the only days they don't do safety checks are Wednesday's and Sunday's. As long as that one uncle is in working, they're able to do it. Been going to this location for years and have no complaints about this specific service. $26 and they take both cash and card. Also please be aware of the curb in front of Hi Runner's next to Oil Changers. I seen a few people drive over it and scrape the underneath of their car lol.

I need it working as soon as possible and Capitol Auto told me they didn't do transmission repair. They referred me to another business but they wouldn't be able to take me for over a week. I found a place that said they would take it that day and areanged a tow. The tow truck driver told me it wasn't a transmission problem which was good news. Still, I sent it to the shop I had made arrangements with. They took my truck in and called to tell me that it would cost, "at least $3,000" because they were going to have to rebuild the whole back end. It was Friday and they told me they would give me a better estimate on Monday. On Saturday, I received a quote via text for $1,600 which included a $300 diagnostic fee. Anyway, I paid the $300 and had my truck towed to Capitol Auto. They checked it out and found a cable that had come loose. They connected and secured it and road tested the truck. They found no other problems. I asked how much my bill was going to be and they did not charge me! Who could ask for more! Capitol Auto is simply amazing! I plan to continue using their services for many years to come and highly recommend them.

The customer service was that of a busy work place but respectful. The benefits still the same. Being on hawaii makes the cost so worth it. I rotate my tires every-time I change my oil so this alone makes it so worth it. The only downside is parking. Make your appointment early so you can get in and out.

Frustrating experience here…read more I was offered an appointment via yelp on a Saturday. After playing phone tag, the guy that answers the phone says Saturday isn't even an option as their alignment guy isn't in on Saturdays. I scheduled for today (Monday). Wheels were aligned in about an hour. I thought things were good to go. My tire pressure light went on while I was driving from the shop to work in Honolulu. I called the shop immediately and someone said a manager would call me back. No call ever came today. I took my car to get my tire pressure checked. Only one tire was filled to 33. The rest of them were filled to 18!! My goal tire pressure per the manufacturer is 35. Now I'm questioning the entire accuracy of my service. My two rear tires are brand new (literally days old). The only reason I didn't get my wheels aligned at Lex Brodie's where I got the tires, is because they don't align Audis. Super disappointed in the service here. I've never in all my years of driving had tire pressure that low, and to have it that low after a service is astonishing. Update: 6 days later and no response from the store via phone or yelp. My message got left on read.

If I could I would give them a 0. 2 and a half years ago, I took my car to Pearl City Auto Works for a brake job. It cost me almost $5k to do it. Now they told me I gotta spend another $2400 to fix the same problem. My other half and I talked business with the owner's daughter Shay Nakamura about the situation and asked certain questions and she couldn't give any feedback to the situation at hand. She tried to give me a discount, but I don't think it was enough, considering I know for a fact they are charging me 3-4x the actual cost for the parts and then will eventually get more money back because of the cores. I text the number they text me with explaining my situation and there were no response. 2 phone numbers they text me from I left a text message, no response. That right there shows me that that they have poor communication skills. Communication was done with text. To be honest, I prefer real conversation with a person/company. I believe that they either did a poor job 2 and a half years ago or the quality of parts they used suck!! I got ripped off the first time and they tried to do that again the second time around. They quoted me an arm and a leg to fix only some of the issues. Came to repairs done right and they were able to diagnose my vehicle with issues good year did not even find! They gave me quotes for all the work I needed done, and gave me a honest timeline of when I actually needed to get these repairs done. They did not push to make money off of me and made sure I was comfortable with the service I was receiving. The gentlemen looked up the tire and told me that they don't have it in stock. He said to return on Tuesday after 10:00am and they will have it delivered there. Today is Tuesday and I went at 10:30am. I apologized and asked him if he could look at the tire first to see if it could be patched. He came out to the car and took a look at the tire and said that they could patch it! I was very happy! He said it would take about an hour and a half.
