Ed took the time to see why it wasn't working correctly & I had shared with him that earlier in the day I had removed my spare. He noticed the wires weren't connected properly (from the place I just left) allowed me to reconnect so I wouldn't "fail" inspection & have to take another day to come back to redo it. So grateful to Ed! I get free safety checks thru the dealership but to me it's worth paying to get in & out instead of having to drop off my vehicle for the day. Totally worth the extra low cost. My suggestion, if you're in a hurry in the morning, you're better off coming at 530am to be at the front of the line. I arrived at around 630am and I was the 5th car in line waiting. I waited till about 845am before it was my turn. So if you're thinking it'll go by quickly...it does not. So dedicating a good portion of your early morning to get your safety check done is a must. There's only one guy who's able to do the safety checks so being patient will go a long way. I believe the only days they don't do safety checks are Wednesday's and Sunday's. As long as that one uncle is in working, they're able to do it. Been going to this location for years and have no complaints about this specific service. $26 and they take both cash and card. Also please be aware of the curb in front of Hi Runner's next to Oil Changers. I seen a few people drive over it and scrape the underneath of their car lol.

I need it working as soon as possible and Capitol Auto told me they didn't do transmission repair. They referred me to another business but they wouldn't be able to take me for over a week. I found a place that said they would take it that day and areanged a tow. The tow truck driver told me it wasn't a transmission problem which was good news. Still, I sent it to the shop I had made arrangements with. They took my truck in and called to tell me that it would cost, "at least $3,000" because they were going to have to rebuild the whole back end. It was Friday and they told me they would give me a better estimate on Monday. On Saturday, I received a quote via text for $1,600 which included a $300 diagnostic fee. Anyway, I paid the $300 and had my truck towed to Capitol Auto. They checked it out and found a cable that had come loose. They connected and secured it and road tested the truck. They found no other problems. I asked how much my bill was going to be and they did not charge me! Who could ask for more! Capitol Auto is simply amazing! I plan to continue using their services for many years to come and highly recommend them.

If I could I would give them a 0. 2 and a half years ago, I took my car to Pearl City Auto Works for a brake job. It cost me almost $5k to do it. Now they told me I gotta spend another $2400 to fix the same problem. My other half and I talked business with the owner's daughter Shay Nakamura about the situation and asked certain questions and she couldn't give any feedback to the situation at hand. She tried to give me a discount, but I don't think it was enough, considering I know for a fact they are charging me 3-4x the actual cost for the parts and then will eventually get more money back because of the cores. I text the number they text me with explaining my situation and there were no response. 2 phone numbers they text me from I left a text message, no response. That right there shows me that that they have poor communication skills. Communication was done with text. To be honest, I prefer real conversation with a person/company. I towed my car to their shop and they quickly diagnosed my vehicle needing a clutch replacement. Quote was sent electronically and upon acceptance my car was ready for pickup two days later. The gentlemen looked up the tire and told me that they don't have it in stock. He said to return on Tuesday after 10:00am and they will have it delivered there. He came out to the car and took a look at the tire and said that they could patch it! I was very happy! He said it would take about an hour and a half.
