Today, my car has a mechanism that slows my car down when it's time for an oil change. So I decided to visit that same location on Kemper rd near the former Tri-County Mall in Springdale, OH on my lunch break. I first stopped by a store down the street to get some water for my medicine, as they had a line. When I arrived and got in the second line, there was a vehicle that had to have been in that first lane for at least ten minutes before I returned. I noticed it was now almost twenty minutes and no one walked up to my car to let me know how long the wait would be, There was at least ten staff members and most of them were walking past my car staring at me and turning away. I caught one staff person staring at me with a smirk on his face as if I have some nerve being there. I ignored him , but then I began to feel somewhat unsettled about the exchange. I was worried that my car may go into another sleep mode until I get an oil change so I felt frustrated and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt I looked up thinking the vehicle in front of me was going to pull away as the staff that completed the oil change appeared along with others standing there with him laughing as if they had nothing left to do for the day. I then looked at my phone and I had five minutes to get back to work (and I was only five minutes away). I can provide proof if Valvoline would like proof. (As I will be contacting corporate.) I don't know if this is a new crew or I just came on a day the old crew was off but they were all new faces and they did not exude any customer service to me. The only acknowledgment I received was from that same smirking gentleman putting air in the tires of the vehicle in front of me. He was constantly looking up at me, then turning to see if others noticed that he was in fact ignoring me. So at this point, I drove back to work. The car that was there before me in the first almost hit me after they saw me pulling out, as they decided to leave as well.

I may forget to check in here, but I have been using this location for many years…read more I have had oil changed, antifreeze change, transmission fluid changed, and even rear end gear oil changed here on different vehicles. Don't get me wrong most of the time I come in on Sundays or early in the afternoon so as to miss the rush. But I have never had to wait more than a few minutes. Value for your money depends on your situation. I tend to come when it is cold since I hate to change my own fluids in the cold. I also prefer not to change antifreeze since it is hard to dispose of. I have never had an issue with over 20 different vehicles I have brought in for service over the years. I do recommend this location. I haven't been to the others in the area and I can say staff tends to change a lot but still good overall service.

I pulled into the driveway to get my car serviced and it was packed. I almost left because I figured it may be awhile, but the tech assured me that it was only going to take about 30 minutes or so and with, all my traveling, I can tell you my car Is probably running on mud right now instead of oil... yikes. So, 30 minutes wasn't too horrible. I went inside and most of the chairs were full in the waiting room, but they had a tv playing horrible soap operas and a full pot of fresh coffee. I stood around for a few, and realized they had a stack of magazines that had some unusual titles. I'm an artsy type and they had, sitting on the top of the stack, "International Artist." I was pleased and parked my butt in an empty seat. The guy at the front desk was very nice and took my info. My car has lots o miles, so I told him I wanted the oil that would make it purr like a kitten again instead of an asmatic old lion. I presented a coupon to him and he nodded in acknowledgement. I sat back down and watched him greet several of the regulars by name, and that's always a good thing in my book. After awhile they came in and showed me how dirty my air filter was and I cringed... I knew this visit would entail more than an oil change because it had been a pretty long time since I'd brought my car in for service. After about 10 more minutes he came in and said my serpentine belt was bad, and I had a feeling it was so that was no shocker. Well, my 30 minutes turned to about an hour. Not a huge deal, but I think they had to order my serpentine belt from another shop. What I am bummed about is that they didn't tell me, and my boyfriend overheard them ordering it from another shop. Had they set that expectation of my wait, I would have been fine. When I was all done and ready to pay, the guy told me that my coupon wasn't valid because I used a more expensive oil. I probably looked like someone kicked my puppy because the original guy never told me that. For a high mileage oil change, fluid top off, air filter, and serpentine belt I was looking at $160. After he realized the first guy had been told about my coupon, he gave me a $10 discount. I was happy again! He also gave me a loyalty card that gives me my 6th oil change free. Bonus!! The thing I liked the most about them, is that they could tell my car had some issues while starting, and they offered some ideas and mentioned that the auto shop up the street was theirs too. I can say that I will definitely be back here, and I may even try out their auto shop. The service was great, and my car's asthma is silenced for a bit. :P

My vehicle would veer off to the right when you let go of the wheel. I came back to have them put in the zerk fitting and was met with some sarcasm and frustration. The guy that handles the customers told me "it must have fell out." Very unprofessional for making an excuse and owning up about it. I don't understand how a component like that could just fall out when it's meant to keep the parts in. Overall the service here was unsatisfactory I spent a lot of money here for what I got and the service was very slow I feel scammed.
