Best Chinese food I have ever had! It felt very fancy walking in with white linen tablecloths and the European-esque style dining room decorated with gold painted walls with mirrors. I ordered the mango mojito to drink which was perfectly fruity and minty, very refreshing. The orange chicken was the special for the evening so I decided to try that, and I'm so glad I did! The perfect combination of sweetness and spice with chicken and fresh vegetables in an orange sauce. I've never had such fresh tasting Chinese food before and I appreciate that it wasn't fried. Not to mention the wide variety of fresh cooked vegetables, it was delicious. It's clear the quality at Peking is superb! The portions at Peking are huge so be ready to take home your leftovers! Service was fantastic and the waiter was very helpful in explaining the menu. Highly recommend!

It is located off the street in a classic old apartment building, gave me a little feeling like, hmm, is this going to be okay? It turned out to be a really nice experience, nice bar area, dining room was spacious, nice amount of separation from other tables. White table cloths and comfortable chairs. Dated, but for a classic Chinese Restaurant it works... Server could not have been more professional or attentive. Portion sizes were healthy, taking home an entire meal (half of order is all I could eat, and I'm a big eater). Going to the Grand Theater for a show, give this place a try before the show!

I lived in the Wausau area for years and never ended up here until recently when I was visiting. I'm not sure why - the building and the restaurant are absolutely gorgeous. Restored while retaining the charm of the old building - chandeliers, fireplace, molding still intact. My first thought was, "I should have had my wedding here..." The place was very quiet, though we came on a Monday night. Aside from a mix-up between Vegetables Cantonese and Cantonese Vegetables (still not sure which one is the one I was supposed to order to get what I want...so be aware and ask questions about the differences if this is your thing), the food was very good. HUGE portions. It's very "family-style" so for a group of 6 of us we only actually ordered 4 entrees and a couple of appetizers. There was more than enough food and plenty of leftovers. We had several different dishes, but I think the table favorite was, of course, the General Tso's chicken. Someone ordered a garlic shrimp and noodle entree (not sure which menu item it was), and that was my personal favorite. Lots of flavor! I'd definitely stop back next time I'm in town!

I can't believe I waited this long to go here. What a great and elegant place to dine and the prices are so reasonable! I am dining alone and don't feel awkward at all. My server ( ) is extremely polite and professional. If you live anywhere within the area, it's well worth it to check it out. I will definitely be back.

Amazing food and drink. It's a hidden gem and a must visit. Try the Strawberry chicken, sounds odd, but really tasty.

Worst Hot & Sour soup ever! Broccoli chicken was very average at best. Why is this restaurant even considered a good Chinese restaurant?

Service is poor. Food is over priced. Elegant restaurant. Food is ok, but I could buy and eat better Chinese than at this place.

I hate posting a negative reviews of a small local business, but we were disappointed. No we aren't looking for discounts free food etc or anything. In fact I hope it was just a bad day for them. We ordered: General Tsos chicken Orange chicken Pot stickers and spring rolls. 45$ is pricey for 2 mains and 2 apps but my husband figured they might be good. Sometimes the food is worth the $. The General Tsos chicken had no flavour really beyond over cooked soy. No spice either. The orange chicken tasted borderline exactly like the General Tsos chicken. Lots of soy. The barest hint of orange and no spice. My spring rolls had an overpowering cooking oil flavour and the pot stickers had no water chestnuts, no ginger, no scallions or garlic. Just ground meat. I am giving the restaurant a maybe on reccomendations because perhaps the chef was off...maybe it was just a bad day. I hope they continue serving their loyal clients but sadly we will take a pass on ordering from here again. It's just too expensive to test drive a 2nd time for us.

You can eat way more different items than just pho here. They have everything from laab to Hmong sausage with sticky rice and of course, egg rolls. Ok, food is pretty average however their menu is extensive. The food tastes so, SO much better than the Hmong delis in the same area. Their pepper dip is delicious. Great location; right on South 3rd Avenue where I grew up as a kid. Private parking. The establishment was an old supper club back in my day. Nostalgic. The ambience need some work. Everything is dated and dark. Like a grandparents basement. I was bothered with the group sitting next us. One guy spoke as if his buddies were standing a half block away. Our server was quick on his feet and helpful with the menu. He answered questions promptly and gave us a heads up if an item would be delayed in preparing. So helpful. We didn't have to wait long to get our food. Shorter time than at the local Hmong deli, I can promise you that and the restaurant was half full. Would, and have, returned.
