It was my first time ever visiting Ojai, CA so admist a day of strolling and shopping, we came across this coffee joint. When checking in through the YELP APP, I noticed a 50% off deal for any ONE drink. That's such a generous offering. We ordered their homemade chai and lavender iced latte. Both were quite delicious and tasty. I wish the chai was slightly stronger in flavor because it was rather light even when stirring the drink with the chai residue off the bottom cup. The coffee shop is just darling, and it smells INCREDIBLE. The line can be long, but service is fairly quick, and the line moves. I do wish there was more seating inside, but real estate is limited and it's expensive, so I get it. The coffee and tea are good. We did not try the food items because we had just eaten and couldn't stand the thought of eating anything more, so I can't comment on those. read more

Living in Santa Barbara almost all my life I was nervous to move to Ojai because of my local coffee shop. But I can truly say this has been our go-to and our new weekend routine :) the staff are just as amazing as the coffee. Love to keep it local *update* After looking at the photos I realized my most recent trip the owner helped me. They had crumb cake which is my grandmas favorite, she's has been passed away for 8 years now, and little things like this make me smile. The owner said it's the best crumb cake and got a piece to take home. She told me I hope your grandma enjoys it! My favorite coffee shop to visit when in Ojai. Love the vibe of this place. I had a caramel macchiato and it was delicious. I grabbed the last piece of carrot cake ... took a bite of it before taking a picture! It was so moist & flavorful. One of the best carrot cakes I've ever had. The owner was incredibly rude to my college student daughter. She was quietly working in the corner, with many open tables when the owner came over and asked if she planned on buying anything. My daughter asked if she had to and the owner told her it's the "respectful" thing to do and that not buying something was rude because she was using her wi-fi and one of her (empty) chairs. My daughter told her she'd just leave. The owner's reply was, "Great!". She's made it so neither of us will EVER buy anything there and we'll be sure to remind our friends of her horrible attitude and condescending tone. read more

Cute coffee shop conveniently located right in the center of town. They have a good selection of tea (both iced and hot), coffee, and food/snacks. I ordered the lemon hibiscus and mango iced tea (both refreshing and good). Husband ordered americano, also good. Friends ordered lattes and matcha and enjoyed them. I also like that they have GF options and could probably modify a few of their vegetarian options to make them vegan (though I didn't confirm). Service was quick and friendly. Very attentive. After waiting for someone to take my order 6+ minutes a line formed behind me to the door. Once my order was placed I couldn't find a good place to stand to wait for my order. Who I can only assume was the owner started asking me aggressively what I was doing and I said waiting for my order. A seat opened up so I sat and Then she asked if I had paid. I answered yes and then a few moments later even more aggressively she asked me what I was doing again. I said yet again waiting for my order. Apparently she thought I ordered a carafe of coffee but never even asked me if that's what I was waiting for. She was aggressive from the beginning. All of the other staff was overwhelmed but kind, but I wouldn't take the chance of being harassed after spending 30+ dollars. read more

I never buy coffee as much when going out. I usually make it at home. I decided to try this place when i went to visit Ojai. I was craving a coffee and i thought of giving the place a try. It was interesting to go inside and loved the smell of coffee. I had purchased a cup of two shots of espresso with oatmilk. I paid with my card and noticed the lady right away looked to see if i tipped. Her attitude changed real quick because i didnt, im not obligated to pay more for 2 shots and some oatmilk on it. You can criticize me all you want but im a paying customer, not a rich man to be donating money. When i got the coffee I realized there wasnt even any oatmilk in it It seemed as if there was only 2-3 drops of milk at all. Im sure if i would have tipped it would have been another story. read more

Got a chai with almond milk, but they made it with regular milk. 1.5 hours later (and many trips to the restroom), I was able to go back to ask if they could make it for me. The barista was very rude, saying that since it was over an hour, she would have to ask her manager, and walked away from me as I was explaining why I wasn't about to return in that time frame, and refused to throw away my original cup, telling me I needed to go outside to throw it away. It was such a disappointing experience, will not be returning. read more

I'm a barista and have been for a few years now. I've worked with a few cafes and every place does their thing differently. I also understand that plant based milks usually separate because of the coffee. But to be honest, this lavender "latte" really just tasted like iced coffee with a lovely lavender flavor and some coconut milk. Not like an iced latte at all and I ended up throwing it out /: I hoped that maybe it just looked funny but would taste great that was not the case. Definitely not my favorite. To be fair, the lavender flavor was so nice, but as an iced coconut milk latte, it was not very good at all. The Italian soda was great though! read more

Don't panic, I did say "organic" not all but many organic choices! Almost went for 4 shots. And I prefer it, as always, in a ceramic mug. Hate the tastin of cardboard cups. Cute little spot in the heart of Ojai. I needed my mid day caffeine treat. As soon as I walked in they asked me if my pup needed some water and they took it outside for me. I really appreciated that. I got myself a mango black tea with 2 pumps of vanilla and my girlfriend got a dirty chai latte. They have a lot of selections. This coffee shop has great central location! Currently during COVID, there is no seating so you have to grab your drink to go enjoy it outside. The coffee is decent--nothing too special but gets the job done. I wish their espresso drinks were more robust--they tasted a bit weak for my taste--but I drink a lot of coffee and have my own espresso maker at home (I'm a bit of a snob). Had the best experience here recently - ordered a macchiato and the server was so friendly. Then I tasted the coffee and it was SO good!! It was using their espresso blend. I kept thinking about it and a few days later back in LA I reached out on email to see if their espresso blend is ok to use in a French press. Stacey responded with the loveliest email and yes, it's fantastic in a French Press - I know as I ordered it and now I'm trying not to make several coffees a day because I'm enjoying it so much.
