I came to Ojai for a quick trip to pick up some hay and decided to see if there were any local coffee shops. This coffee shop is modern and clean. There is seating out front and out back. I was greeted when I walked. Ordering and my drink preparation was also quick. I ordered a hot dirty chai and it was perfect in chai flavor. Why am I giving them 4 stars?! Well, as I went to pick up my coffee from my cup holder the gentle squeeze of my hand to grasp the cup had the lid pop off and spill at least 1/3 out all over my car. I was so frustrated and upset. At $6.50 for a medium coffee, I lost about $2 worth all over my car. My entire drive home, I would have to recap (push down) on the lid each time because the lid continued to pop up every time I picked it up. I sure hope CC reads this and does something about their cup lids. They just aren't a good fit. read more

My original review still stands. But, just to add to it... Overall, my coffee has been decent. But when there are certain baristas there, my coffee drinks are SO good. I've always eyed their pastries. So when I finally decided to order one, I was so dissapointed. I took a bite and the texture made me gag, I had to spit it out. Why did I decide to eat it even though there was that gooey mess on there? I wanted to give it a chance. Anyway, note to the owners: If it looks like you wouldn't eat it yourself, you shouldn't sell it. (I did notice he was originally a bit hesitant, but i didn't know why at that moment). Dont worry! I'll always be a customer for the coffee, just not the patries. read more

I guess I should have complained at the time that my order wasn't right? Having the right beverage might have really made this place for me? Anyway--I sought this place out because Yelp specifically said they have tea lattes. If they have them listed on their menu--they'll be darn good. Ordered an English Breakfast tea, and Earl Grey tea latte and a pastry. Maybe there was some confusion in the back, but I ended up getting two regular hot teas (one English Breakfast and one Earl Grey). I COULD have gone back, but.... uf. Oh well. My other half really enjoyed the pastry he had--I got a nibble of it, and wished that I'd been saved a larger bite. It was really good! They have seating inside, out back, and also out front. I prefer outdoor seating in most instances--so we got a cozy little table in the back. Nice place for a chat and cuppa. Just wish I would have had the right beverage. Oh well! 2018: 39/100 read more

Excellent coffee in Ojai, where I spent a couple days with my uncle recently. The iced latte was simply divine. They have a really large selection of teas too. The barista was really friendly and they have a back yard that's super cozy. I'm not in this area much (well, never really LOL), but if I was in Ojai again, I would come straight here for another iced latte. read more

I came to this location on a recommendation from a local! I wasn't expecting it to be as fantastic as it was. Five stars for quality of espresso drinks, green tea matcha, and loose leaf teas! The cinnamon roll was awesome but the method for warming it up and eating it definitely needs improvement. I would definitely recommend this location over all others and appreciate that it's a local family business. 5 more stars... Yes they have stevia! On the downside it's dingy and could use some deep cleaning! read more

Organic, well made coffee drinks. The best I've found so far in Ventura county actually. AND so affordable compared to all the other coffee shops in Ojai. I'm always SHOCKED that I can get a couple drinks and a bagel and pay under $15 - where as at other places like Coffee Roasting or Beacon - 2 drinks with a bagel would be more than $20. Local, friendly, homey coffeehouse. I'm camping and came in for a bit of civilization. I'm at this very moment sitting in a stuffed armchair gazing out the window at a great view of the Topa Topa mountains. Some nice touches in this cozy café: a selection of newspapers to read, books and board games available, and a basket with a scarf being knitted by the community whenever someone feels like it. Their chai is amazing.... smooth, not too sweet, not too watery, not too much foam. It's perfection in a cup, when coffee may be too heavy and you want something light. Probably the best cup of chai, I ever had. If you're not into chai latte's, you're missing out. All drinks can be ice blended, served chilled on the rocks, or hot to your liking. Bathroom is immaculate. Whoever installed the mirror must be really tall because I was tip toeing and still couldn't see my bangs and I'm 5'3". Coffee Connection is a wonderful, locally owned coffee shop. The owners whip up awesome drinks and can cite "the usual" for any number of regulars who walk through the door at a moment's notice. I love their lattes, and the ham and cheese scone, warmed, is a great treat as well. This business also does a ton for the local community, hosting food drives for the food pantry, selling merchandise for the high school ceramics program, and at one point collecting Box Tops for the local elementary school. You will always get a friendly welcome as well. Just the kind of place where you want to start your day. read more

This little hub of "connection" has a quaint vibe which is very different that the hipster Beacon in town. Grab a cute table out back and order the Mayan mocha! Bullet coffee was good too with coconut oil flavoring coming through. I encourage this business to bring the ambiance out back to the front and you'll have even more traffic. read more

Don't remember what I got exactly, but it was either a cappuccino or chai and whatever it was I do remember liking it. Pro: Opens at 5 am on Monday-Friday!
