I've been dying to try this place and I'm so glad I finally did! Located in the heart of brickell, this is the spot to go to to satisfy your cravings. We got there around noon on a Sunday and although the line was long it passed by quickly and we managed to find a spot to sit at with ease. Here's what we ordered: - chilaquiles - pan cake - mushroom tacos - iced latte - mandarin juice WOW! Everything was phenomenal. Definitely going to become a new go-to spot of mine. If you're into spicy the chilaquiles are for you. The serving is huge so I'd recommend to make it an appy to share. Good size portion. $14. Huevos Rancheros - they call it Rancheros Ojo - you get both the red and green sauce. The red sauce is nice and smoky - but the green sauce is to good to bother with the red. More of those amazing avacado slices. Good portion. $14. Wife had salmon avocado toast with eggs. That salmon looked, felt and tasted like it was from the best sushi restaurant in Miami. And there was a decent amount of it. She also really liked their gluten free ancient grain bread. This was a bit more expensive but my wife ate half and was stuffed. The exciting part is that the menu is HUGE so I get to go back over and over without eating the same thing. And they specialize in my favorite food - tacos! Not standard stuff. We went over there today and we loved everything we ordered. I got the chilaquiles with eggs and my husband ordered the enchiladas with chicken both 10/10 . My sister in law ordered a ceviche which was really good and fresh. Additionally we ordered some mimosas with fresh juice and they tested amazing . Our food came out super fast after we placed our order . When we arrive the place was packed but there were some empty tables however a bit later while we were there people was making a line to order. They don't have a waitress to take the order but when food is ready someone brings it to the table for you. Expected more. I had walked by ojo de agua many times, this place is always full, so I was intrigued. The first thing you encounter when you walk in is a welcoming environment. The restaurant has a trendy decor with ample seating, music in the background that makes it perfect to enjoy a long meal with a group of friends or even solo. The menu is ample with options ranging from tacos to sandwiches to salads going for $15-25. And each of the dishes seems to be a great combination, but in practice it is lacking... We tried a couple of the tacos (which had amazing descriptions) but the flavor profile was flat, not bad, but not exciting. Additionally they seem to have a fly issue in the kitchen as the plates arrived accompanied by them. Overall, this place offers a great environment, decent prices, but I was underwhelmed by the food. I went to Ojo de Agua for a late lunch. I liked the styling of the restaurant. It had a casual, but also photo-worthy designed interiors. They also offer seating outside, but I opted to sit inside. I went there specifically because I had a major craving for Acai bowl's and Ojo de Agua's Acai bowl really delivered! I got one scoop of the Acai and it came with super ripe, fresh fruit and a delicious granola. I was also really impressed by the variety and arrangements of the fruits! I haven't had an açaí bowl before at this price point that came with so many different fruits! (Mangoes, strawberries, raspberries, orange, dragonfruit, rambutan, star fruit, bananas) it was almost too pretty to eat I also ordered the enchiladas suizas which was really tasty and decadent. They have sweet options (French toasts and pancakes) and lots of juices to choose from. My friend and I tried tried the campesino-Serrano sandwich, the ribeye tacos and the chilaquiles and everything was pretty good. My favorite where the chilaquiles, lots of flavor with each bite. The ribeye was a bit dry, but they were still good. Honestly, the plates are big so be mindful. We had a good time, the ambiance, the music and the service were good. Honestly the portions of the 3 dishes were large enough that we could've done without the Huevos Tatemados. It was a tad on the heavy side being that the "quesadilla" itself was made of all crispy cheese. We did enjoy the fresh avocado however. The Huevos Cazuela Arabes was the best dish by far! The eggs were almost creamy, and the tomato-based sauce went perfectly with the pita bread. This dish was almost like shakshuka. The Guava Pancakes were delicious as well! Both were very tasty but the sandwich was really hard to eat, the vegetables were cut in large portions that didn't really fit on the bread and kept falling out. What a unique place this is. Feels like entering a cute bodega in the middle of Mexico but in the middle of bustling Brickell. But the food... OMG. It's so GOOD when you give the first bite to something and it blows your mind and senses. That's what happened with me two nights ago. I tried the elotitos with cheese and the ribeye tacos. Both incredibly amazing. Oh, and all the people that works here made me feel at home, so friendly and attentive. My only little recommendation is with the serving size, especially the tacos.
