Deserves 5 stars, hands down best apple fritter I've ever consumed on planet Earth! Trust me, you gotta get one.

    The case!

OJ's donuts came into our lives today and we are forever changed in the best way! We love fitness and we love donuts, so needless to say we know good donuts when we taste them, and these donuts are spectacular! We decided to partake in an afternoon treat for our toddlers and ourselves and walked into OJ's to discover the biggest donuts we have ever laid eyes on! We purchased a glazed sprinkled donut the size of a a frisbee as well as a couple apple fritters (cause you know a solid donut shop makes a good fritter)...now truth be told I have never been a fan of the puffy glazed donuts, they just don't have enough umf or gusto to them, I like the cakes ones...but, I took a bite of the giant sprinkled sugar bomb and it is the best glazed donut I've ever had! The kids absolutely loved, and we have enough leftover for a week of treats! The apple fritter is delicious as well, OJ's knows how to make a donut! Not only is the product good, but the service was so so friendly and warm! They even threw in some donut holes to add to the aesthetic appeal of our Giant donut! Prices are par for the course and they offer plenty of other drinks and flavors as well. We will be back very soon to try new flavors!

OJ's is my favorite donut spot in Big Bear as far as a tradition donut shop. The owners are so sweet, always helpful, friendly and happy to see you :) Donuts are always fresh and delicious. They make a BIG donut with 24 hours notice which is yummy and a fun surprise

Randomly decided to get donuts here and was pleasantly surprised at how good these were. Super affordable donuts at less than $2. The cake donut was light and not too sweet, with a crispy exterior and soft inside. The donuts are fluffy and well-made. The girl who served me was also super kind and made my day by throwing in an extra donut.

Was in town for the week and decided to try out OJs. Unfortunately they didn't have donuts and their ice cream machine was broken.

When we stopped in the line was extremely long, which is great for the local businesses. The store has three unique sections. Ice cream, candy, chocolate, gummy, worms, etc., and caramel apples. I'm not sure if the employee was happy with us, but we ordered from every section. It almost seemed like he wanted us to go back and get in line to order from a new section but we didn't. I had peanut butter and chocolate on a cake cone that was outstanding. The wife had chocolate chip on a sugar cone and she also enjoy it. The grandkids had a variety of different flavors and I have to assume they enjoyed it because there was none left. The daughter ordered a caramel apple with some topping on it that she thoroughly enjoyed. She also ordered an extra one that was sliced that she shared with all of us. It had caramel and nuts on it. Very tasty. We also ordered different chili, flavored gummy worms and gummy rings. The grandkids thoroughly enjoyed. In addition, had to try out the chocolates. Had the dark chocolate haystack wasn't too impressed with it. Had a couple of dark chocolate cashew clusters. The wife said they were very good. The three employees that were working behind the counter we're doing a great job keeping the line moving. They also offer a discount if you eat at saucy mamas beforehand and bring your receipt. The line moved quickly, and it was well worth the wait. We ordered a two-scoop waffle cone, which was absolutely humongous and incredibly delicious. The staff was friendly and efficient, the prices were reasonable, and the lively atmosphere added to the fun. It was the perfect way to end a relaxing day in the mountains. We'll definitely be back for another scoop (or two!) the next time we visit Big Bear.

I had the opportunity to visit with Mrs. Pickles and she was just a sweet gem. Although we got there at 11:30 and they had already sold out of all of their full pies and pot pies. They did have a good selection of some sliced pies left. So we ordered a couple slices of blueberry and thyme pie. Wow! What an outstanding pie great texture outstanding taste. It was simply amazing. Mrs. Pickles was very friendly and took time to explain the ordering process how we can call in orders and things like that. I am so glad we came in here and gave it another shot. If you are driving by this little place that looks like out of a storybook stop in you'll be glad you did there. Remember to lineup an hour before they open to get your best selection. Also, while you're there, walk around and look at the amazing job, they did outside the restaurant of planting some sustainable food. They did a wonderful job with their espalier apple tree they started along one side of the building. In addition, it looks like they have a fabulous looking raised bed garden that they've got started. Also, is your walking in? They've done an amazing job setting up sustainable plants and a spectacular looking irrigation system. This time we will be calling in and placing some orders beforehand. I believe we got two pies that were two different berry mixes among other things. My husband wolfed both down because he ate one and loved it so much that he had to eat the other one. Mind you, my husband has grown up eating pies his whole life. His grandma used to make them from scratch all the time when she was still alive. So pies are a very sentimental and favorite food of his. I got the chicken pot pie, absolutely delicious. I'm obsessed with chicken pot pies and this one super hit the spot. Hubs is so very sad that we don't live close to the Pickles at all. We just happened to be in Big Bear on vacation and decided to stop by to grab some pies to take home. Our cousin was with us and got one slice to share with her parents and they ate it all. It wasn't enough. We all wish we had more. We'll definitely be back when we're back in town. Shoutout to Mr & Mrs. Pickles, your love and craft really shows in your food. Mr. Pickles was so nice too! He was taking the orders and tending the register. It's also such a cute little whimsical cottage, I love it!

Every time I go in there, it seems like something is wrong. The lines are too long, the service is slow, and the attitude from some of the employees is just unbelievable. I don't know what happened to common courtesy or customer service, but it sure isn't happening here. You walk up to the checkout and sometimes the employees act like you're bothering them just by being there. I'm sorry, but I'm the customer. I'm spending my money here. The least I expect is to be treated with some basic respect. And don't even get me started on the lines. You can stand there waiting and waiting while you're watching the clock, wondering why it takes so long to get through a grocery store. It's ridiculous. If the store is busy, then have enough people working to handle the customers. This isn't rocket science. The whole store just has a miserable feeling to it. Employees look unhappy, customers are frustrated, and management seems completely disconnected from what is actually happening on the sales floor. Someone needs to take responsibility and start fixing these problems instead of pretending everything is fine. I've lived long enough to remember when going to the grocery store wasn't such a stressful experience. You used to be greeted with a smile, people actually cared about helping you, and customers were treated with respect. Now it feels like you are lucky if you can get through the checkout without being frustrated. I am tired of spending my hard earned money at a place where I leave more aggravated than when I walked in. Stater Bros. needs to seriously get its act together. Management needs to listen to the customers and start addressing the problems instead of ignoring them. This location has a lot of room for improvement. Better customer service, better staffing, better attitudes, and better management would be a good place to start. I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking for the same basic courtesy and respect that every paying customer deserves. I honestly hope someone in charge actually reads this and does something about it, because this store is becoming more and more frustrating to shop at. Enough is enough!
