Was in town for the week and decided to try out OJs. Unfortunately they didn't have donuts and their ice cream machine was broken.

So good! Some of the best donuts ever! Every one we tried was just amazing. The coffee was good too!

Amazing donuts (so fresh!!) and great variety to choose from! We were staying in the area for a short trip. Stopped by for coffee and donuts before the day. We came from Los Angeles (with all the variety of food and donut choices), so wasn't expecting much in Big Bear. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality (and freshness) of the food and drinks!! Like the variety of donuts and it's at the right balance of sweetness (I personally don't like things too sweet). My son finished 2 before I had a chance to take the photos...Hubby got this Vietnamese Frappuccino and it's so good! The owners are so friendly and service is amazing also! They have a few tables inside in case you want to enjoy the donuts inside. Definitely best donut shop in Big Bear by far and will be back again in our next trip! read more

Great donuts. My daughter loves glazed donuts. Unfortunately, they were sold out of those so she got donut holes instead. (Same thing essentially). She's only 7 but she ate 8 donut holes yesterday morning and finished off the dozen this morning. They had a good variety even at 9:45am as well as coffee, water, milk, and a few other refrigerated options. I got a maple twist with chocolate drizzle and it was amazing. Conveniently located near the south east end of the lake near Stater Bros. Parking was good since it's at the end of the shopping center. They had a few outside tables to help with social distancing but we took ours to go. read more

I don't think you understand my love for a good maple bar. We go way back. I put donuts esp - this type on a very high pedestal in my life. According to Wikipedia: A maple bar is a rectangular doughnut topped with a maple glaze. They can be filled with custard, or cream, or left unfilled. I love a good cream filled donut but when it comes to my maple bar babies, leave them unfilled will ya?! Now I was tryin' to be my good, healthy, vegan, gluten-free self this morning minding my own business but with a line out the door, my nosiness had to see what the HYPE was about!!! I was like, well HOLD ON NOW..... we get tempted hey now...I had to do it. While waiting for my GREEN DRANK, I skipped over here, took a step in w/ my coins and got 1 maple bar donut, yes please. OH and some of the donut balls, love those cuties. I was all happy, walked back over to the juice factory and guzzled my smoothie as it was only PROPER I wash down my donut with a glass of health. Long story short, I am tempted to drive 3 hours once a week for these donuts. I was like WOW at first BITE! Instantly, she knew they were the truth. It was at though the maple extract came fresh from the sap of maple trees god itself. Fun fact: In the early spring, if you cut the bark of maple trees (mainly found in Canada) clear sap will leak from the cut and yummy, enjoy kids! read more

I love to try individually owned donut shops. The service was quick and I was able to still get a variety later in the evening. Their bear claws were apple and blueberry and were very good. All or their donuts were as good as anywhere or better. The prices were decent. We didn't try it but you can order a giant donut a day ahead and it's only around $9. I'm sure kids would love that. We didn't have kids with us this trip. They also have other items including drinks. I would definitely recommend. read more

So here's the deal. For the mountain, this is a good donut place. There aren't much options up there. And OJ's is in a very convenient location. Right in the same shopping center as the Stater brothers. So it's close if you are in big bear lake or big bear city. A bit of a drive from Sugarloaf or Irwin Lake. So there is probably a closer donut shop out that way. But overall OJ's is good. The donuts are pretty fresh. Not the best I've ever had but they hit the spot. I usually get the original glaze donuts and the buttermilk- I stick to my favorites! I've come to OJ's after drinking and the donuts are amazing if you've got a good buzz going on hahaha Oh the shop is pretty clean and the owner is nice. I mean he's short with you but gets you what you want and he bakes them donies so I'm good with that! read more

Great donuts. Stayed in area 3 days and every day we visited the shop. Tasty and satisfying flavors and variety. Only downfall, too much jellied raspberry filling in some. Donuts always fresh and never a time we were there that it did not have other customers. Seemed to have a constant flow always. My only question and not asked of them was, I bought 2 dozen to bring home and the total said $33.50 then there was an unexplained $3.60 added to the total. My total was $37.60 because they do charge a $.50 credit card fee but no explanation for the $3.60. Still will go back again when I visit in a few months. . read more

Delicious donuts and croissants! Stopped by OJ's Donuts to grab a few items before our hike. They have a large variety of donuts and breakfast sandwiches. The breakfast croissants are HUGE and filling, definitely worth $3.50! They also offer different beverages with a side fridge full of refreshments. They open early and offer savory donuts that are huge. My go to are ham & cheese croissants. My man loved his apple turnover and the cruller was airy and perfect. The Bear Necessities... Okay...So I might've been influenced by all the corny bear puns while looking around Big Bear. This area doesn't have that many donut shops (two to be exact) so I decided to give it a try. Tiger Tail Apple Fritter The Tiger Tail provided the right amount of maple chocolate sweetness balanced with the softness of the dough. The Apple Fritter provided the tartness of the apple and the texture is an oily crispy crunch. Both the donuts fulfilled my donut cravings. The owner also gave a great customer experience. I'm kind of mad at myself for just now reviewing OJ's Donuts. My family has been going here for as long as I can remember. They've always had the best donuts in town and more specifically the BEST. APPLE. FRITTERS. EVER. I can remember being little and my mom getting up early just to get us oj's before we woke up. My favorite was always the chocolate long john because I was a fat kid (still am) and everyone knew that the apple fritter was mom's. Always such a treat. Now as an adult, my boyfriend and I are addicted and probably stop in once a week for a fritter and donut holes. Also, the family who owns and operates it are always super sweet and welcoming. We drove from boulder bay to this place. D unfortunately were greatly disappointed. Was advertised a frozen yogurt but ALL of the machines were not turned on. Additionally the donuts we purchased had little flavor. My Boston cream had no cream more than 1/2 way through the cream. I'd find another donut location if I were you. Came here for lunch, due to the line at Jersey Mikes being over an hour long. It was a very confusing ordering process as I originally wanted a ham and cheese croissant, to which the young lady stated they aren't making those.
