Stopped by here last night after checking out Robert Glasper at City Winery to grab a to go meal. The service was Exceptional, Ashley was my server! She was very friendly, polite and attentive. The ambiance was chill for a Tuesday evening, not too crowded! I ordered the Japanese Pancake Combo with noodles to go and as I waited for my to go meal, I ordered a cocktail that was really good! Free parking in a small lot, will definitely be back!

Ok Yaki is a great lil Japanese spot in ATL. When you enter, it feels like you're transported with the vibe and decor of the place. We came with a few friends who just came back from Japan and they love Ok Yaki! For dinner, it wasn't tooooo busy so we were seated right away and were able to take a quick look at the menu. For the small plates, we got the onigiri and karaage- classics. Both were really simple yet flavorful. For bigger dishes, our table shared the teppan steak, mentaiko pasta, and the okonomiyaki. Everything was so delicious but our favorites would probably be the teppan steak and the okonomiyaki. This spot feels perfect for a date night or dinner with friends! Great spot for Japanese eats!

Came in last night and love it! Been wanting to try this spot for a while and so glad I did! They have a happy hour during the first and last hour of service. We started with some cocktails. They have some unique options. We both loved what we got - the giri giri shake was so refreshing so summer. The Selena especial was strong but good! For food, we started with the korokke. It was rich but a great little bite to share with someone! We split the combo, which is the okonomiyaki on top of the yakisoba. We got the pork belly as our topping. AMAZING! This is a must order. And it was a ton of food! So I suggest sharing or plan on bringing leftovers home! Great service as well! Our waitress was super sweet and gave us great recs. They have limited seating but have some fun bar and kitchen side seating! Parking is also a bit limited but I had no issues parking on the weekday evening that we were here.

I came back to the spot after many years and I have to say I'm not disappointed. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating was rained out when I went but inside is absolutely beautiful with areas for sitting at the bar where the food is being cooked or near the cocktail area. We sat by the cocktail bar and our bartender was fantastic and was one of the menu designers and he suggested some drinks. If you come here please try the cocktails they are unique and very very balanced. We ordered the combo okinmiyake with the noodles and steak topping and the Burger on recommendation of a bartender. Both dishes were five stars and we were definitely come back and try this place again for the remaining menu items

When visiting Ok Yaki on a Friday night, the place with abuzz with merriment and energy. Definitely a happening place. Yet the food turned out to be average. I was expecting fireworks but instead found a gentle fizzle. Only one dish really impressed us - the Karaage - considering its great flavor, juiciness, and crispiness. The gyozas, on the other hand, we're limp and flavorless. Every other dish we ordered was good yet unremarkable. That included a large okonomiyaki, the yaki udon, age-onigiri, tonkatsu, hiyashi kyuuri, and the teppan steak. We spent $127 for a four-person dinner, before tipping (no alcohol, no dessert, 2 mocktails, 6 small plates, and 3 main entrées). We won't be returning to Ok Yaki.

Went here Friday with some coworkers and I already cant wait to go back. I love how clearly marked the vegan menu items are. I started with the vegan gyozas. I believe they had a veggie and soy sausage filling. The wrapper was perfectly browned and not too thick. Served with a typical soy-y sauce on the side. My main was the yakisoba (deluxe option) with tofu. I suggest absolutely doing the upgrade to get the extras veggies (bok choy, mushrooms, carrots, etc.) Tofu could've had more flavor but the sauce kind of made up for it. Umami is what comes to mind when trying to describe the sauce. Small portion was a great size if you're doing apps or sharing multiple plates. Was glad to be back in this space after trying So So Fed. I can see why both spots are recommended around town.

Pretty limited parking space in the plaza, especially when it gets really busy - we ended up having to park across the street which wasn't bad. The interior has that Japanese street food feel with the open concept of seeing the chefs cook (you can also sit at the counter where they are). We got seated in a cozy booth and after looking at the menu, knew we had to go family style and share a bunch of things! Food: - Daikon salad ($8): carrot, sprouts, sesame dressing - comes with baby anchovy or tofu. We opted for the baby anchovy and this was honestly my favorite thing we had because it was just so unique! The vegetables had a great crunchy texture and the sesame dressing was sooo flavorful! Would highly recommend trying! - Krokke ($6, 1 piece): panko fried potato and ground beef. Reminded me of a croquette. Nicely fried, and the ground beef mixture inside was very umami - Age onigiri ($6, 1 piece): panko fried rice and cheese triangle. The cheese is gooey and the contrast of the crispy rice was a great balance. It has a light flavor that was nice. - Okonomiyaki ($13 for the larger size): savory pancake with cabbage, green onions, pickled ginger, tenkasu, nagaimo, okonomi sauce, kewpie mayo, seaweed flakes, bonito flakes and a choice of a topping which we decided on steak. This is perfect for sharing (especially the larger size) and so delicious! The pancake is filled with so many things and I loved how they sliced the steak thinly so that it wasn't tough - Yaki Udon ($15): thick noodles stir fried with carrot, cabbage, onion, moyashi sprouts, green onion, and a choice of a topping which we chose pork belly. Had a nice wok like flavor. The udon was chewy and the sauce was good - Mentaiko Pasta ($15): spicy Japanese caviar, cream, spaghetti, shiso, nori, pepper. The caviar gives it a very seafood-like flavor. I think that sharing this item is a good idea, because the flavor needs something to cut it Drinks: All of the cocktails were $15! - Goma'retto sour: amaretto, cider eau de vie, citrus, salted coconut yuzu foam, sesame. Definitely on the sweeter side, almost like a dessert - Japanese slipper: yuzu gin, vermouth, lemongrass, midori, American forest liqueur, Japanese bitters - Selena especial: sotol, prickly pear tequila, lime vermouth, suze, grenadine, allspice, goat cheese garnish. I thought the goat cheese paired nicely with this. It was a smoky and slightly bitter drink. If you like mezcal, you'll like this - Giri Giri shake: tulsi gin, calamansi-lavender cordial, stone fruit bitters, lime, lime leaf tincture Great place for a date or girls night. Unique cocktails and lots of shareable items.

This place is a pretty good spot to get authentic Japanese street food. The food was very good! The service was also excellent! The ambiance was pretty authentic, especially for an American joint! I came here with some buddies because they said it was pretty authentic for being from here and they were right! I had a dish with egg noodles and beef which was awesome! To start we had chicken karage which was nice and crispy. I just wish they had more lettuce leaves for it! I also had an appetizer which consisted of crabmeat and rice wrapped in a shell of seaweed! It was pretty good! I appreciate that they have Japanese beer and everything! Pretty awesome! I will definitely take my wife here at some point so we can try this spot together!

The food, service, and environment were nice. I went on a Thursday around 6pm and there was no wait. I always have a pleasant experience.

Was very excited to try this place because it's hard to find Okonomiyaki or especially a spot that specializes in it. Food was really good but just was a tad off from the authentic Okonomiyaki we had in Japan. I know your never going to be able to replicate it but just a tad off other than that great restaurant

We love this place! It is on our regular rotation. There is a small parking lot for you to use. The ambiance, food, and service here are phenomenal, so know you might have to wait for a table. If it is just my husband and I, we sit at the food bar and watch all the magic happen. When friends are with us, we've sat on the patio and in the booths, but we have never sat at the doctor's bar. In the small plates menu, our favorites are the garage, a fried chicken with a tasty dipping sauce, Wafuu salad with mouthing watering tuna sashimi, and a must try if you like cheese is the age onigiri, a fried rice triangle with melted cheese inside. If you try this and like it, you need to ask for onigiri mi of the day in case they have a filling you many more than just cheese. We have devoured so many delectable mains that this will take a minute. First off, the traditional scallion pancake, Okonomiyaki, is a must. The toppings list is so fun, and we put something different on it from the last time, but some of our favs are the shroom, cheese, and shrimp. Next on the menu is the wheat noodles called Yakisoba. Once again, you get to pick one topping, but I just like to make it deluxe in which they add shrimp, sprouts., bolchoy, mushrooms, carrots, and peppers for $2.50. Next in the Mains for us is the Yaki Udon with one free topping or the Kitsune Udon if you like tofu. The broth and noodles are cooked to perfection so you can slurp your night away. We always have leftovers when we eat here because we love it so much. We get a couple of starters and mains to share. I've eaten the yummy leftovers cold and reheated them on the stove. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Ambience - really dark, pub vibes, love the open kitchen concept Service - servers were really nice and provided some recommendations Food - Tako yuzukosho - octopus was super tender and cooked just right, tomatoes were really sweet, not sure if I like the texture of hikiji (reminds me of brown rice) Tonkatsu- pork was in a drier side Okonomiyaki - star of the show, so so good

Definitely a winner, salmon was very fresh and serving was very big. Also got an ochazuke which was refreshing and flavorful! Tasted kinda like a more savory genmaicha with salmon inside. I already come here pretty often and will definitely be adding the salmon bowl into my rotation. I think it's better than the one at shoya, and with a much better wait.

If you are close to Buford Hwy you should try this place. They have parking for a few cars right in front, a smallish restaurant inside with a full sushi bar. Their menu is pretty comprehensive and includes fried rice, noodles, sushi rolls, sashimi, soups etc. As we were a large group we ordered a bunch of things. Most of the entrees are served with a salad and soup making it quite the meal. We ordered the sashimi appetizer, the pork gyoza, shrimp shumai, omelette, combination fried rice, B-52 roll, sunrise roll, crunchy roll I think. Sashimi was fresh - yellowtail, tuna, salmon. The gyoza was delicious and table favorite Honestly, I even enjoyed the pork belly omelette. So flavorful... The fried rice was cooked well but was missing some seasoning/salt. Otherwise good. The rolls were great and we selected ones that had some spice. My favorite was the sunrise roll - a little crunchy inside yet with a slight kick. The staff felt a little overwhelmed with our group but they were polite and helpful. Food was prices reasonably and worth it (for the portion sizes).

It's still gonna get a five-star rating from me. It's in a shopping center area in Dora Ville so there's no paid parking. It's a free lot but around that specific part of the building it may be packed but there's parking everywhere. You'll come in and the outside of the building looks drastically different from the inside because inside it looks very rustic Japanese decor. You'll find a lot of wood and a lot of decorations that go to that time period but still great, still very nice and appeasing to look at. The staff was super patient with me and that definitely made me nod my head to the customer service. I needed more time for some things and they were patient. They kept my glass full and I was also very appreciated, especially with that hot spicy soup that I got lol. Super great staff. Spicy gyoza soup - so the soup was really good. My only thing was the fact that they brought it out hotter than lava lol. You will need another bowl there so that you could eat the soup and hopefully it'll cool down because you don't want it to burn through your mouth. The flavor in there was really good and the dumplings in there were great. Ooba maki (delicious pork roll) - so you get a few of these on a skewer and you get two skewers of meat and it was really good. You can taste the distinct pork flavor and it was seasoned very well. You don't really get the leaves, which is what it's wrapped in, but I guess you wouldn't taste that. No this was a really good snack and it's just enough for an appetizer to get you hungry. Yakitori Chicken - this is a go-to no. If it's this type of Japanese spot, I'm going to get the Yakitori. It comes on a couple of skewers and it was very flavorful. I got my teriyaki style but this was a hit. It's very simple but it's direct. Scallop and bacon - the scallop and bacon was really good. Like everything else it came on a few skewers and you get a few pieces on the skewers. It was actually really tasty and I would get it again. The only thing is the bacon kind of overshadowed everything else but bacon does that so I can't hold that against them. Miso Pork belly - the pork belly was okay. I don't want to say that like it was bad because it was actually really good but of the other things this might have been the thing that was the most decent. It wasn't necessarily because of the flavor per se. It was more so that some of the consistency was a little weird. Not in a bad way because I would order it again but it just felt like you have part of it that was melting in your mouth. The other part was a little bit more chewy than it needed to be but that could be for any reason. It was still good. Vegetable tempura - the vegetable tempura was okay. It came with very large vegetables and it came with a sauce that had a little sweetness to it. It kind of tried to balance out with the deep-fried food and the sweet on the side. Atsigiti bacon - The bacon was okay. It really was just as they cut bacon so it really wasn't anything special or major about it. But it got quite a bit of the in the bowl. Chicken wasabi - The chicken lasagna is basically the chicken yakitori with wasabi sauce drizzle. If that don't get me wrong. The chicken is always good but some really creep up on you here LOL. It was a solid choice. Pork belly - the pork belly was good.... I got it teriyaki style. When I got it the first time I got the miso styles but both of it was actually really good. Honestly, there's not a whole lot of difference except for the only sweetness but it's still great. Overall I will 102% be coming back to this kind of spot. The fact that it's closer than my other spot, which is in Midtown, really is a plus for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the time here.

When I arrived to pick up my order, I was pleasantly greeted right at the door by the staff, who provided genuinely friendly and efficient customer service. That warm welcome made the whole pickup process smooth and quick. Once I got back to my hotel room and finally dug into the food, I have to say the House Lo Mein was prepared with fresh ingredients and good quality noodles and vegetables. It wasn't the most outstanding lo mein I've ever tasted in my life -- I've had versions that were more flavorful and better seasoned -- but it certainly wasn't the worst either. I'd honestly describe it as pretty mid-tier: solid, reliable, and worth what I paid for it on that particular evening. The fried chicken wings, on the other hand, really stood out to me. They were extra crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and actually had some noticeable flavor and seasoning, which made them quite enjoyable. All in all, it was a decent and satisfying meal that hit the spot after a tiring day. The portions were generous enough, and the value felt reasonable. I could definitely see myself returning to The Orient sometime in the future if I find myself back in the area and in need of a quick Chinese takeout option. That said, with plenty of other restaurants nearby that offer more affordable prices and bolder flavors, it probably wouldn't be my absolute first choice the next time I'm craving something similar. Still, if you're looking for a convenient, no-fuss spot with friendly service and consistently okay-to-good food, The Orient is worth considering.

The service was attentive and helpful. The manager, we think that's who he was, also stopped by to check on our evening. It's got a great vibe. There are many places that you could bring me to, so if you wanna be away from the hibachi and have a quiet area, or you can be in the mix, The espresso martini was strong and too sweet. I started with the hot-and-sour soup. It was so good, and my friend started with a ginger salad. Our favorite roll was the one with multiple types of fish, rolled with cucumber. It was so fresh and delicious. It's a little hard to eat, but totally worth the effort. We also had a Sheldon room with spicy tuna, and it was square instead of the regular roll, and we really enjoyed that one, too. When we come back, we'll be tempted to order the same rolls, if we can figure out what they're called, but if not, there are so many other phenomenal options on the menu we'd be happy with.

The vibe was warm, friendly, and welcoming, which made the atmosphere enjoyable. That said, it ended up being a bit more costly than I expected, partly because I may not have fully realized what I ordered or how quickly the total added up. Still, I had a genuinely enjoyable time. Something felt slightly off that I can't quite put my finger on, but overall, it was still a solid experience and one worth trying [again].

I've always sat at the hibachi tables, but this time since I was dining solo and needed to be in/out fairly quick, I decided to sit at the bar. The man running the bar was pretty efficient, despite being busy. He was always moving - cleaning, taking orders, pouring drinks, serving food - he never stopped working hard. Even though my order was taken promptly, the kitchen must've been very backed up because it took a hot hot minute for my food to come out. My steak entree was fantastic - they definitely used a lot of the garlic butter heh - not great for the body, but very tasty. My shrimp on the other hand was quite a let down compared to the steak. The portion size is clearly smaller, and it wasn't as flavorful as the steak. Something I do appreciate about the lunch entrees is that it comes with vegetable fried rice. One small gripe is that Benihana is quite pricey. I think the lunch prices are okay, but I've seen the dinner prices and it's steep. AYCE level prices, but for an entree. Ultimately, the high price point, the fairly slow service, and the disappointing shrimp is what brings my experience down a few stars.
