Our original target was the Fresno location, but due to a GPS entry error, we ended up at their Clovis location! It was a little longer drive than usual, but still well-worth the drive. And besides, we were on a family long weekend break so who cares about distance... Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! Weird ingredient...but absolutely tasty! And at a really affordable price range! You just have to try our this place when you're in the area! You will love it!

Good amount of tables and seats. Simple, minimal decor and it was clean, from what I can remember. He got the Shoyu Ramen (#2) and I got the Spicy Miso Ramen (#4). We both agreed the broth wasn't as hot as we'd like and could use just a touch more flavor. Both were okay, but I preferred my broth more. I wish I paid attention to the fact that mine came with THIN noods though... I feel like I would've enjoyed my dish way more with thick noodles. To be honest, I should have done the build-your-own Ramen and selected everything I wanted myself... now I know. You live and you learn. The Wontons were good but we didn't eat much of it, as it came out the same time as the ramen. Once the ramen was served, our main focus was on that and that filled us up! Packed the rest to go. For this being our first time, it wasn't bad but it didn't wow us. If I'm being honest, so far-- the best Ramen we've ever had was in a small little shop we found while in Thailand back in March (yup, Thailand!). Unfair to this rating maybe? Wait--we stuck around. The place was super packed, and because the windows had the blinds down with art work; it felt a bit claustrophobic and overwhelming. We got an alert that our table was ready and checked-in. The hostess then left us, and waved us down to signal where we were sitting (they could've told us to follow them lol) The waitress was nice, but seemed a bit scattered. Automatically asked what we wanted, but we had never been here before, so wasn't sure how it all worked (they never explained). The walls of our booth were littered with scrape marks and chipped paint. The booth had no cushion whatsoever, making it extremely difficult to get comfortable (ok...there's a cushion, but it's flat). The table was the most annoying part. No matter if you scoot it more towards you or the other side there still so much space. I'm basically sitting at the edge of my seat trying to eat because of the distance--if you're a bit heftier on the stomach--it's perfect. (Random observation: the bathroom looks nice, but not well kept. There's graffiti and cravings all over, which makes me think I'm in the bathroom of a dive bar) Food: As I mentioned I was craving sushi--their selection was lack luster. Almost everything had the same ingredients. The salmon sashimi looked pale and had no color. There were some pieces that were sliced so thin you could basically see through it. I ordered two rolls for my daughter (crazy roll & snow mountain)--both were lacking flavor. The presentation for them was as if they didn't care or even try? Every time I picked one up it would fall apart. The Hibachi steak was cold and dry. Shot ribs were just lathered in sauce (not my preference), and mostly came with little meat and all bone. I'd only come back if the majority of people I'm with want to go, but I wouldn't suggest it myself. The service felt rushed. Food could have been presented/ prepared better. Space could've opened easily by letting us see out the windows and not feel so packed like a can of sardines, and could definitely use some touch up paint and better cushions. It could've been an off night, but this is what I experienced.

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Cassidy is new to the restaurant and waited on us. an Shewas wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, patient, and just genuinely great service all around. The only downside was the new menu design. The font is extremely tiny, printed on a small laminated sheet, and honestly very difficult to read. Hopefully they make the text larger in the future because the food itself is outstanding.
