My gf and I went here last Saturday and had a great time! The atmosphere was great, and the waiters and chef were friendly. Just a heads up- hibachi is meant to be an experience, so don't go if you're in a rush. The waitresses were running their bums off, but it still took a bit of time for them to take our order, and for the chef to start cooking. We had the crab rangoons (tasty) and two of the hibachi dinners. Everything was delicious, but I do wish they had more sauces to choose from. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be back.

    13. Beef Kushiyaki

Extremely disappointed. I ordered online, and upon arrival they told me they did not have any online orders. Turns out the order didn't print. They expedited said order, which was fairly quick, so that was good. Ordered the beef kushiyaki and received two measly skewers. $10?! Outrageous price for roughly 3oz of beef. Do not recommend

This place needs more reviews cause it was so good! On a recommendation from the good people at Half-Axed across the way, me and my partner went to Okami for a quiet birthday dinner. Originally we wanted hibachi, but we settled on eating at the sushi bar. I ordered a cocktail for the occasion, the aptly named Happy Birthday. It was a light, sweet and fruity cocktail. Perfect for the occasion. Before we received our ordered sushi, the spicy maki combo, and the dynamite roll, we received a complimentary Okami salad, each. The salad had fresh slivers of crab and cucumber mixed with tobiko/masago? and maybe some spicy mayo? over a drizzle of eel sauce. Not sure the exact combination, but it was super delicious and we each could have eaten a plate of that by itself. We also had a miso soup and ginger dressing salad, both of which were yummy. We then received the rolls. I love sushi (eating at least once a week somewhere in Boston) and this place did not disappoint. Presentation, taste, shape, etc was solid. The dry ice was a nice touch on the dynamite roll. It was more food than we could finish so we took a box home. The staff was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere on a Sunday night was laid back, but the staff was still very present the entire time. Reasonably priced for sushi. Spent less than $50 total for the two of us. Definitely will come back next time we are in Marlborough to try the hibachi and bring some friends.

The online ordering process was fairly straightforward- the site is used by other restaurants in our area so I had to double-check it was the right one! I pretty much always order the same vegetarian rolls - some may say boring, I say easy to please. This night, I ordered a sweet potato tempura roll, a peanut avocado roll, and an AAC with mango roll. I waited a few moments for the food once I arrived. The restaurant is open and bright- there are many succulents and plants near the entrance. There is a weird plastic screen mounted from the ceiling by the door- sort of a makeshift vestibule. I imagine during cold months, it helps regulate the temperature inside. I really only noticed it because I was standing there, staring at it while I waited for my order. It was a pretty clever contraption. The food was ready just a few moments after I arrived at the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and courteous- asked if I wanted chopsticks or soy sauce and happily accommodated my request for low sodium soy sauce. Took the rolls home and enjoyed them in pjs while a thunderstorm rolled through. I'd say the food was fine. There was no eel sauce on my rolls- which I wasn't sure if it's because I ordered all vegetarian. But, they needed something for flavor. I opted for hoisin sauce we had in our fridge. The sweet potato roll felt a bit like soggy tempura had been used- hence, needing a sauce. The peanut avocado tasted a lot like each of those ingredients and was very basic feeling without any added flavor. The AAC with mango roll was very tasty. Given the generic ordering I do for sushi rolls, I may likely opt for a different place next time but won't rule Sake Hana out forever.

We didn't try hibachi, but the sushi was okay, albeit pretty expensive for the quality. Relatively basic maki rolls like Eel & Avocado, Shrimp Tempura Maki, and Boston Maki were $8.45 $9.45 each. The Chinese food we tried was pretty mediocre. Beef Chow Foon had tender beef and nice chewy noodles, but was too oily. The real disappointment was the chef special Five Flavor Shrimp, which had nice flavor, but the shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. White rice is not included with entrees. Lots of big TVs and an active bar scene, but given inattentive service, high prices, and so-so food, I'll stick to other sushi and Chinese restaurants in the area. Oh well.

The atmosphere of this ramen shop is a bit different than the others in the general area. You walk in and order from the counter, pay, then sit and wait for it to get to your table (or for it to be bagged up to go). Not a problem at all, I just noticed the difference - many ramen shops around are more of a "sit down" vibe with wait staff and such. I was promptly greeted when entering, and they were very good at recommending their favorite ramen to me. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen (per recommendation between that and the spicy shoyu). First off, is the broth. Their broth is REALLY GOOD!! I found myself treating this more soup-like than most ramen visits, and went for the soup spoon a bit earlier than I usually do. The noodles were very "slurp-able", and the bamboo, scallion & sweet corn were great compliments! The second thing that will stick with me is the quail eggs. Another differentiator - these were tiny marinated eggs that come either 3 or 5. They were cooked & marinated perfectly... I kind of wish I opted in for the 5 as opposed to the 3!! The Chashu pork was really good, although it was different than what I was used to. It didn't really have that "Chashu" taste that I've grown accustomed to, and it tasted kind of like it was marinated in a soy sauce or something similar. Again, it was very very good. No complaints here, it just had a different vibe. A refreshing change!! Overall, I will definitely be coming back here. If you need a ramen fix and are in the Marlborough area - Up To Me is absolutely a viable option!!

We started with the Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna and Salmon Carpaccio, both of which were excellent appetizers and a great way to begin the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the Chirashi, while our table also shared the Spider Roll, Money Roll, and Volcano Roll. Overall, I thought the sushi was the highlight of the experience. The fish tasted fresh, the rolls were well prepared, and each had its own unique flavor. If you're visiting Tama for the first time, I'd recommend focusing on the sushi menu. I have tried their hibachi platter on a previous visit, and while it was decent, it didn't stand out nearly as much as the sushi offerings. The service was friendly, and the restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere that's great for a casual lunch or dinner with friends and family. I'd definitely come back whenever I'm in the Natick area, especially for the sushi rolls. I'm also looking forward to checking out their new Canton location to see how it compares. If you're deciding between the hibachi and the sushi, my recommendation is easy stick with the sushi. That's where Tama really shines.
