Decided to give this place a try since we were in the area. Big mistake. The prices were high and the food was not anywhere near worth the prices. We didn't eat most of our meals because they just simply weren't good. The waitress we had was even worse. Came took our orders and we didn't see her again until we got the check. Someone else brought out our food, appetizers and meals together even through we told the waitress to have the appetizers sent first, and this same person had to tell the waitress to refill our drinks and clean off the table to make room for him. The bill was wrong so needed to be adjusted (charged for an extra meal) and it included a 20% tip off the top. She didn't deserve that tip in the least bit and to have it taken off the top of the bill because there were more than 5 people at the table (all with separate bills!!!) is something I have never heard of. This place was absolutely fantastic. We got the hibachi steak with fried rice, the soup and salad were great. We didn't notice the outdoor Hibachi seating but we would've sat there it was beautiful out today. I wanted my steak medium well and it was perfect. We also got the spicy California rolls which were amazing as well. The service was quick as well! It also wasn't that busy so not sure what the service would be on a busy night, but we had a good time. Great service, very quick, and the Hibachi service was great. If I could give ZERO stars I would. The people in this establishment are extremely rude and unprofessional. The hibachi dinner we had was semi-good. I will admit the gentleman making the food was very friendly, but our server was so short with us. She gave us our checks and stood and watched us pay each bill in cash. If she was not accepting of the tip amount left..she called her out on it. There were 5 of us trying to enjoy a nice dinner, but the service was horrible. The food was ok and overall it was an uncomfortable experience. I've never experienced a waitress arguing with a customer over a tip. The bartender working last night was fabulous, quick and friendly. The manager was quick, working hard and doing his very best. Hibachi chefs were good, the waitress however made me never want to go back. Our waitress began by yelling at us, telling us she "didn't have time to wait on us" and that we needed to be ready to order immediately because she had things to do. Never said hello, never introduced herself .. She also midway through taking our order got upset, ripped up the paper she was writing on and crumpled it in her hands. When our hibachi chef came out he was literally uncrumpling paper to read our order. Additionally, she brought a tray of drinks in and left it on the table so one of the guests in our party got up and served drinks not only to our group, but to the other group also seated at our table. She forgot drinks, of course never offered us refills and generally made us feel as though we were an incredible inconvenience to her despite the fact that we were guests. When we asked for two additional place settings as two guests were missing forks and plates, she initially said no, that she had already brought plenty, but then reluctantly brought us two settings. Now we were a reservation, but regardless If she was short staffed or double sat she could have explained that to us and we would've understood. But to start off literally by yelling at us, was just rude. Also at the time we were sat and for about the next thirty minutes, the restaurant was only half full. She claimed there was a line out the door, but there was none and regardless you do not treat customers that way. Would recommend making the drive to Osaka in Shrewsbury or Sawa on Route 9. We sat at a table with some teens for over an HOUR waiting to get out food. Quick service until almost everyone ordered waters, and I think they assumed they would get a crappy tip. Ordered sushi for my husband, and it didn't come for that time so we cancelled it. One chef came out, started to read orders, quickly realized it was the wrong table, and instead of remedying the situation right away, went over to the table to cook at that had been there for less than 20 min. Once our chef finally came over at least 20 min later, he wasn't entertaining and clearly was just trying to cook the food. When our check came out, the waitress assumed we were with the group and included tip on our check. She quickly changed it. We tried this restaurant one of the first few days they were open. They were incredibly busy and the service was slow but I'll chalk it up to growing pains. Besides the slow service, we loved it. We sat at the sushi bar. My step-daughter loved that she could look up at the mirrored ceiling and see the chefs prepare the food. Each sushi roll we tried was unique and outstanding. BEWARE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES. The restaurant manager was not very friendly, he didn't have time to stop and talk to us, just kept walking and kept saying we needed a reservation for Hibachi. We decided to sit at the regular diner. Table 1 had lots of mosquitoes flying around. So, we requested moving to a different table. While at the other table the waiter serving us had an argument with a customer sitting at the table next to us. Finally, at the time of order, I repeatedly mentioned to the waiter that my wife was ALLERGIC to shellfish. But he came back with her order with shrimp in it. Once we brought this to his notice he went back to the kitchen and came back in less than 30 secs. (Probably just removed the shrimp). At the end of the meal, my wife had swollen lips (her allergy to shrimp). On bringing this to the waiter's notice, he said there was no shrimp. That's all. My wife had a very bad rest of the day due to that allergy. I'm very uncomfortable going back to this place as the allergies even after mentioning are taken so lightly. read more

I went here for Hibachi and was sat at a table with a huge support post in the middle which seemed to awkwardly split the table up. I also felt like this restaurant was very unsanitary, the table felt sticky and the bathroom sink barely had any pressure to wash your hands. For dinner I got filet mignon with fried rice. The rice was flavorless with barely any soy sauce. The steak was ok, silently undercooked (I asked for medium rare). The waitress seemed very overwhelmed even though the restaurant was not busy at all. She was taking a while take our order and just randomly started filling up our empty soda cups with water instead of getting us a new cup. After we finished eating it took a while to get the check, and even after we asked it still took her over 10 minutes. We made a reservation for 6 for a party, showed up at our time and got sat. I understand there was 1 waitress for the whole restaurant, I have no problems with waits and I've been a waitress before and understand how stressful it gets BUT it took us 25 minutes to get greeted, 35 to get cokes. We asked for a refill on the cokes the waitress come with a pitcher of coke and pours but leave the pitcher at the edge of the table where the hibachi chef managed to knock it over all over my husband and just threw napkins where it spilled and left. It's gets better... she hands us the check and THEN asks us if there was a birthday and if we were getting dessert AFTER giving us a check. We said yes 3 vanilla fried ice creams, but we get 3 chocolate fried I've creams instead. She then brings the new check, I went up to the front and asked for a manager she tell me he's in Japan and there is no boss today. I explained to her about EVERYTHING that had just happened and that I was not going to pay for the sushi we never got, the 3 ice creams that were not what we asked for and the pitcher of coke that the chef spilled on us. She gets super aggressive and tell me to calm down and this whole time I was speaking to her in a calm and low tone voice to not cause a scene. After I asked her to remove the included tip because I was not going to tip after the terrible experience. She told us to "die, die, die," and flipped us off until we physically left the building. in other words, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. It was my first and last time. Posted up at the bar with a friend, a total of 3 other people aside from us there. My friend and I both ordered a cocktail...and that was the last we saw of her for 15 minutes, as she was more interested in conversing with a friend on the other side of the bar. Meanwhile management/ownership is allowing their kids to run around the bar, which was both noisy and annoying. The bartender comes back empty handed...and asks us if we're ready to order drinks, to which we both bewilderingly informed her that we ordered drinks from her the last time we saw her. With slight embarrassment she walked away and we had our drinks within a couple minutes. She took our food order, which we received in a reasonable amount of time, and the food was in all honesty pretty good. However, trying to enjoy our food and drink with children loudly playing in the bar area created a great amount of unease. As we were finishing up the bartender felt it necessary to start talking trash about some previous customers that were at the bar, one of which was giving her a hard time. She also took that opportunity to explain to us that she was a beautiful bartender who owned 2 businesses and only did bartending for fun. so I love hibachi, I go to a hibachi restaurant every year for my birthday and I feel like it's hard to make hibachi badly, somehow these guys did it. I sent my food back for being cold, dry, under seasoned, and all around not fresh tasting, without eating any of it and the waitress still tried to charge me for the entire thing at the end of the meal. We told her we had no problem paying for the rest of the food and drinks, but I sent this back, didn't eat any, and also don't get to enjoy my leftovers, so no food, but you're still gonna charge me full price? Can I speak to a manager? Things quickly escalated as she started getting loud and disrespectful putting her hands in my face, and asked "this your first time here right?" In a voice like she was speaking to a Child. honestly I've ordered from this place before but never actually dined in so we said no. She proceeded to say "you know what? I'll take care of it" which in her tone and demeanor basically sounded like she'd take care of the check FOR us because she'd rather deal with the check than deal with us literally, VERY slightly and inconsequentially disgruntled customers, all the while grumbling under her breath that no other customers ever dislike the food (like sorry your client base is used to sub-par food?) What makes it so bad is that the hostess started ignoring people who were coming to the desk to see why they still hadn't been seated. I guess she didn't have an explanation for the long wait? Still, act professional and at least communicate. I read other reviews that complained about this place being overwhelmed when it's busy, but I ignored them because I thought it was because they were written when the place was new. This is my first time eating in. I've had takeout twice before. We sat down when another table right in front of us was leaving. Only us and another table across the room were seated. Before even bringing over menus or taking our drink order the server cleaned/bussed that table. My drink was good, won't complain there. Our hibachi chef was fun, but it was all oddly timed. We got our soups first, then noodles and rice, and then shrimp appetizer. As well, the vegetables were cooked almost at the end, meaning that by the time I get them I had almost finished my noodles, and they were cold. As for entrees, the salmon hibachi was the best. The food was good. Had steak and chicken Hibachi and a dragon roll. We got seated quickly at a grill and the initial service was quick. Drinks, ginger salad and miso soup came quick. But that's when things went downhill. The chef barely spoke and the "demonstration" was mediocre at best. The food came out great and the dragon roll was delicious. But while we were eating is when things turned horrible. There was a group of 5 girls sitting at the grill adjacent to us. They had finished out their meal and payed their check. Then they were just sitting there chatting when the manager came over. He confronted them about the tip they had left for the server. He asked if the service was okay which they agreed the server was good. He then became annoyed that they didn't leave enough of a tip. Even though 4 of the girls left 10 dollars a piece on their card and 1 left 10 in cash. That's 50 bucks for an hour... so after confronting them, they were pressured into leaving another 20 dollars. That was unbelievable to me! Then after that, we stopped seeing our server. It took us 20 minutes after finishing eating to get our check and that's because I had to ask a different server. Food was good but was a little disappointed in the service. We went in for hibachi to celebrate my son's birthday. We were served our soup and salad and had ordered and as I finished my salad a family of 5 was sat with us. This delayed them starting to cook for us for at least 20 minutes. I wouldn't have minded if I was out with friends having a cocktail but we had an infant and an 11 year old so the delay caused them to get a little restless by the end. We went early and only one other grill was occupied while we were there for over an hour and 45 minutes so volume wasn't the issue. I will say my son loved the disco ball, birthday song and fried ice cream with sparkling candle that came at the end. We mentioned a birthday and hadn't requested it (but it was on the bill). Some people may take issue with seeing something on the bill that wasn't asked for. read more
