Great poke! First time visit here yesterday and got the make it your own with shrimp and ceviche. The ceviche was made fresh and cut up in front of you. The ingredients are super fresh and staff is nice and accommodating. They let you pick up to 24 toppings for your bowl and in the end for ~$13-$14 it is good value for the amount of food and seafood you're getting. The spicy mayo, ginger and lime salt are great seasonings/sauces and the "crunch" is my fav! Adds that texture to the bowl. Very healthy option and they I'm sure they have vegetarian/vegan friendly options if you ask too! They also just opened 3 weeks ago so it is a tough time to be open but I have a feeling once the virus situation is over they will be doing well. Hope they can keep it up. BEST POKE EVER!!!!! I've had several Poke bowls but none are as good as Okey Poke. They have such a good variety of toppings and proteins, and the price is really good for what you get!! An alright Poke Bowl place. First time visiting this place on Tuesday evening, 6/09/20. Ordered outside of the restaurant when an employee came out to take the order. Circled using the take-out menu of the ingredients I wanted. White Rice, Grilled Chicken, Gochujang, Cucumber, Fish Eggs, and a few other items. The worker also suggested Yuju (however you spell it) sauce. It took about 10 minutes or so to get the order. My friend and I waited outside in the car until she brought our bowls out for take-out. We were all wearing masks. Once I got home, was eating the food for a bit until I found a piece of hair on the side of the bowl, stuck near the cucumbers and rice. Had to throw out half the food since it was contaminated. Otherwise, the food tasted good until then. I was in the area running an errand and was looking for a good salad, so looked it up on Yelp and found this place. Who could say no to a Poke bowl?! I ordered a poke bowl with spicy tuna, yellowtail, seaweed salad and sushi rice through Yelp, and picked it up 20 mins later. Food was ready early, and right at the pick up table with my name on it. Perfect contact-less pick up. The bowl itself was good, flavors were nice and everything was fresh. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because there didn't seem to be as much fish as I'm accustomed to in my poke bowls. Other then that, no complaints. I would recommend this place. The cutest little poke shop I've been to so far. The Poke was cut large cubes and was super fresh. I got the marinated salmon and fresh tuna over half white rice and half greens. The crispy garlic was my favorite topping and everything tasted super fresh. I would definitely go again. It's a cozy store, with quite a few pre-made bowl options as well as build your own bowl. We went on a weekday late evening and everything (yes, including the fish!) was still so fresh! There were quite a few toppings, crunchies, sauces, and proteins to choose from, which was quite nice, and the rice was warm. Wow! What a great restaurant! This poke is amazing because the ingredients are super fresh and the sauces are really flavorful. On top of that, the service is excellent. I visited yesterday for the first time and had to come back again today because it was so tasty. They remembered me! Finally a good place to get a poke bowl in Gaithersburg. I have tried the other places in this area offering poke bowls and sushi rolls but they all disappoint that is until I found Okey Pokey. They have the freshest sushi grade fish I've ever seen outside of a high end sushi resturant. They have many different seafood selections and so many topping that are also extremely fresh. I originally ordered online and loved it so much I brought my sister to the resturant the following day. The owners are very nice and accommodating. First time at this place. It is located below a large office building. Not very visible at all. It provides SO many selections and everything tastes absolutely delicious!! The employee helping me was both helpful and friendly. Since I had not so great experience with poke before, I asked him to tell me if my choices don't go well together. He sure did.
