Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the hype. The salon itself was not clean, which should've been my first warning sign. The technician who did my nails didn't seem confident or trained she completely messed up the design I asked for, and even after I politely pointed it out, she continued like nothing was wrong. My natural nails were left damaged, and the overall experience felt rushed and careless. I take full accountability for giving this place a chance, but never EVER again. If you care about cleanliness, skill, or being listened to, I'd recommend going quite literally anywhere else. I've been a client of this Nail Spa for about 6 years now. I've visited Nail Spas in every state and I am loyal to this shop. Throughout Long Island and Queens I have yet to find a Nail Spa as good. The shop may not be high end and fabulous in the aesthetic area but the technicians here are skilled and do quality work. Okie's Nails It when it comes to the beauty of your nails. Recently I began doing the SNS Powder Gel in 2018 and it has really helped with the health of my nails. It lasts and I receive compliments about my nails everywhere I go when I leave here. I visit the shop about once a month for both a Pedicure and SNS Powder Manicure. The pedicures are perfect and my favorite technician is Yuki. She is meticulous and skilled. Melissa is the Pedicure Pro Queen and she is awesome at everything. Jessie and Sunny are also very talented and some of my favorites. Okie the owner does some fabulous acrylics with meticulous design work. Many ladies ask for only her. I prefer to come during the early week days because these ladies are in high demand and business can get busy. I honestly think all the woman are talented and very kind. I've been to high end salons with wine and pillows but the quality of their work is trash. Messy paint jobs and they lack skills. The nails never last when you go to these places. They really provide good Nail Care here and everyone seems trained to do so. They do not rush your Pedicure or service here like many other shops that don't care about keeping business or clients. I would also like to add that I have never had a fungus or infection within the 6 years of being a client. They have actually restored and repaired mistakes that other nail salons have made for me. They seem to be the only salon that knows how to properly remove powder gel without damaging the nail beds. My nails are at their best right now. So no, you may not find glamorous light fixtures, pillows and a champagne bucket here but your nails will be beautiful. To me, that's worth more. In time, I hope that Okie can renovate and redecorate the shop but for now this is home. I really enjoy coming here for the services and will continue to give them my business. read more

I was in dire need for a manicure and was looking for a new spot in my borough. Most of my go to spots are usually in Brooklyn or uptown Manhattan because they're cheaper, lol. I checked Yelp for some affordable nail salons and then called to verify the prices. I'm still a newbie to this nail game but I refuse to spend $60-$80 for this, that and additional fee for a manicure. Most times these fees don't include your pedicure, but I digress. Lol. I called this salon and checked it out because the prices were fair. I'm not one of those gals who need the glam decor and wine and cheese served when getting my nails done, lol. I'm not knocking y'all lovely ladies who want that service though, lol. However this isn't that spot. The salon was a bit cluttered and lacked any decor. However, the staff appeared very friendly and seemed to have great rapports with their regular customers. A lot of customers requested Okie but I just wanted to be in and out and I was. I forgot the young lady name who did my nails but she sat next to Okie. She took her time and completed my manicure without incident. She didnt seem to experienced with the nail designs. I came in on a Tuesday a couple of weeks ago to get a fill-in because of the botched job I received a week prior. Melissa has done my nails before when Okie wasn't there. She fixed my nails & I fell in love with her style instantly. She tortures me (not really, inny) but she does an amazing job. The fill-in actually lasted 2 weeks plus. Before I would have to come every week to get them done. That becomes expensive getting a weekly fill-in & pedicure. I only go to Beanu or Sonah for my pedis. Beanu has since left. She's been gone for almost a month now. Mondays & Tuesdays are not bad days to drop by. First come first serve. They don't do appointments. This place tends to get packed but as another reviewer said it's totally worth it!! read more

This is my regular nail spot. Okie always blesses it for me with whatever I want. I almost always get the exact result. Prices are very reasonable. $25 for regular square acrylics and $5 extra for any other shape. Their pedicures are also very relaxing. Highly recommend! read more

Very impressed will come back again! They are a little bit pricey but it's Totally Worth It. I had May on the pedicure and Melissa on the Manicure. When I had walked in the salon even though it was a little bit late they were still able to take me and do both my services without feeling rushed, Thanks to Melissa. I give it four starts because I wish the place was a little bit bigger because they've been there for a while a and it looks like they could go under some renovations but for what they're working with it seems to be doing it's job. First time going here, i had a 2 hour break and thought I would try this place out. It was a bit of wait, but honestly my nails were done in like 35 mins and they were done so nicely and they were only $35 for acrylic tips with gel ( pretty sure its extra for coffin and stiletto ). Very Late review ( quarantine boredom lol) but if you are not going to one of the "main" people- don't do it to yourself. Seems like there are only two ladies who know how to do nails. Went last summer with my sister, I have always wanted to try this place , in a very convenient location. The main ladies had a long wait so we saw some of the extra girls- ugh terrible job in new acrylic sets. My pedicure was nice def good enough to service for two weeks lol. Also, it felt a bit dirty- nail clippings all over, acrylic dust all over - I mean it doesn't take much to sweep once in a while, I was literally sitting there with clips all round my feet , barf! I haven't put acrylic nails on since high school, but I was going to a birthday party and 4 nails broke in 1 week! Around where I live, tips aren't the common thing, so I read reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. I got ballerina tips done by the owner, she was super fast, but not too friendly and barely spoke to me at all other than to give me prices, ask me what color I wanted, and to tell me to wash my hands. Maybe that changes if you are a regular. Anyway, my nails came out great. If I ever feel the need to put on fake nails again, I'd make the trip out here. read more

I used to do the acrylic nails and they would last like a month. And I think they were expensive. I was in the area and needed to get my nails done so I went on Yelp and found this place. The reviews weren't great but I thought I'd give it a try. Let me start by saying this is by far the most UNSANITARY and UNPROFESSIONAL nail spot I've ever been to. I'm not going to talk about how dirty this place is because if you read some of the comments below people have already mentioned this. Let's talk about how RUDE and DISGUSTING the owner (Okie) of this establishment is. She thought I didn't understand Chinese and continued to bad mouth me just because I asked politely if she can file my nails thinner. She was annoyed that I checked each nail after she was done to make sure it's even. If I am paying 48$ for my nails, it better look good. Apparently she felt the need to talk shit about me to her employees in Chinese. Not only did she and her employees complained about me but also made snarky comments about every single customer who came in. They assumed how much people were going to spend based on what they were wearing, calling them "cheap". I get my nails done every two to three weeks and NEVER have I EVER encounter such nasty behavior. I waited until she was done to let her know if you want to talk shit about your customers, at least wait until they leave. NO PAYING CUSTOMERS deserve to be treated in such disrespect especially if you CHOSE to be in the customer service industry. I loved this place. It was my first time there. I went on a Saturday. There were a lot of people there as expected but my cousin and I were taken care of right away. The pedicure was good. She was attentive and made sure my feet actually looked like they had been cared for. I also decided to get french tips on a whim. I asked for coffin shape. I was glad I did. I went into this establishment trying to get a mani/pedi & everything was cool until I wanted a new pumice sponge they asked me to pay for a new one (but technically as stated by the dept. the establishment is supposed to provide a new one with every pedicure) so I refused and gladly left their establishment the dept.of health needs to start making more rounds to these establishment who try to force you to pay for things that are already included with the services. Where to begin!? They don't take credit/debit cards. The staff is not all qualified to do simple mani or pedi. My friend had 3 people work on her because not one person could do the hard task of french mani/pedi. The pedi chairs are broken. The staff was complaining that there were too many customers but umm isn't that a good thing? My pedi is already coming off after 1 day and my nails are lightening up as well.
