So my husband and I go to this place thinking we will see the rumored boats. But to our surprise…read morethey no longer have it. I don't know if its because of the change of management but we stayed none the less. We entered and where soon greeted by a very friendly gentleman (who apparently was the owner of the place, his name is Wing Yip) He asked if it was our first time there, he gave us our menus and explained whats popular and so on. He was very patient with us and again super friendly. The place is a bit small and cramped but it has a cozy atmosphere. We ordered some Pork Dumplings, a Veggie Roll and a California Roll. Also on Monday-Fridays they give free miso soup before 2pm which was a plus. When the food arrived it was in a very beautiful presentation and to our surprise it was in a cute boat shaped plate! (I guess they are trying to keep the memory of the boats) The miso soup was delicious. (I guess because its free it didn't have the tofu but thats completely fine with me since its free) The Rolls where really good! (I was a bit surprised with how Good they where to be honest.) We also ordered 2 glasses of the Japanese plum wine and it was amazing, its a very sweet and light white wine and so fruity! All in all the service was more that Great, the staff was super friendly the Owner is seriously the most attentive, friendliest, hardworking manager/owner I've ever met! so props to Wing Yip. This is now one of my fave places to go.

We expected good food at such a nice resort but this was so much more! We had the Chicken Tikki Masala and Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. Both were so delicious, very authentic tasting, which was surprising having Indian and Asian (I know they share a continent, but are quite different in many ways culturally). Just the right amount of medium spice, and amazing flavor left us wishing we could bring it back to have the leftovers! The service was excellent and the ambiance was very nice with a cool looking bar decor as you enter. My kids also enjoyed their Lo mein dishes so much they left nothing on their plates, which is rare for them The resort is also a wonderful place to vacation, but more about that in their review. If you come to the Hyatt Grand Reserve here in Rio Grande, make a reservation at Nori - you need a reservation as it's popular. It will be a worthwhile experience for your palate ‍

The food was good but a bit on the pricey side specially for Puerto Rico, maybe equivalent to SF or bay area so we are used to those prices. The server we had was very sweet and she made recommendations that were delicious. What was not up to mark was the matcha tiramisu, it was super wrong texturally for a tiramisu and matcha flavor didn't come forth at all. The sushi and the drinks was the highlight.

The waitress stopped by and took orders, they have a full bar as well as Japanese favorites. We started with Egg Rolls and a Spicy Salmon Roll, both of which were pretty standard, good but nothing special. From there we went with Hunan Beef and Sizzling Chicken. Both entrees were excellent, the beef was probably one of the best Asian dishes I have ever consumed. The service was good, prompt and efficient. Overall, a great place for Asian cuisine.

Both times there was a large group of people at a table celebrating something. The tables were mostly full on a weekday night. . They didn't have mango both times. The staff are very nice. The sushi is ok. The special rolls are not worth the money. the two rolls we got tasted similar because they were smothered in spicy mayo. The tuna & avocado roll and the salmon roll were good. Last time we came, we had the dumplings & they were good. The sushi was not memorable. We noticed the big party next to us ordered Chinese food. It looked good. I think that's what I'd come back for. I definitely would not go out of my way for their sushi here.

Waitress offered on the house drinks due to the wait. Once the order was in took about 20-30 mins for it to come out. Solid sushi and the dessert was fun. My parents had eaten here before and said it was really good, so we were excited to see if it lived up to the hype. The restaurant had a lively, bustling atmosphere, with a steady stream of customers dining in and picking up takeout orders. Even though it was busy, the staff kept things moving efficiently. Even for a large order, the wait was only about 30 minutes. They have a separate pickup area for to-go orders, which made the process organized and easy despite how busy they were. We ordered the beef fried rice, house fried rice, churrasco steak, house lo mein, sesame beef, jumbo shrimp, chicken wings, fried pork, pork ramen, and three sushi rolls. The kids in our family chose the Philly Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll, and Red Dragon Roll, and they really enjoyed them. I had originally planned to order a different sushi roll from the menu, but it wasn't available that day. It wasn't a big deal, though, because the rolls we did get were fresh and delicious. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. The churrasco steak was my personal favorite--the meat was incredibly tender and already well seasoned on its own. My husband wasn't a fan of the accompanying sauce, but he agreed the steak itself was excellent. We also really enjoyed the fried rice, and the portions were generous. They were also generous with the condiments and included a variety of sauces with our order, which we appreciated. The only thing we missed was chili oil, since it's a condiment we usually expect to have available at Chinese restaurants. If you're staying nearby or looking for a restaurant that offers both Chinese and Japanese cuisine, Tayzan is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for a crowd--it seems to be popular for a reason!

Service: can be quite slow because they have too many tables compared to employees working. The servers also will get confused and bring the wrong order so be prepared to send food back. The food was also delivered all at once. We ordered soup, appetizer, and main. They should have staggered it to keep the dishes hot. Food: ordered the veggie soup. It was $10 for a small portion but the soup was very tasty. The veggies were crisp. It was served tepid so I think it sat on the counter. We ordered veggie spring rolls, they were crunchy, pipping hot, and full of veggies very good. The dipping sauce complimented well. Now the Singapore noodles were beef, chicken, shrimp, and egg. It had quite a lot of shrimp. The beef and chicken were inedible. The velvetize of the beef made it rubbery and the they don't have good knife skills because the beef was a big chunk and it was undercooked in some spots and the texture was just again inedible. The chicken also had wrong texture from being velvetized. Very greasy sturdy noodles. The appetizers and soup are delicious, bit overpriced. While the Singapore noodles were generous portion- can split between 2 people, we did not eat the entire dish due to the textures and overly greasy.

We walked in 5 minutes after they opened on a weekday, grabbed our own menus and sat ourselves. The prices were a bit high. $15-$20 for most rolls, but I kept an open mind. We ordered calamari and two rolls. 15 minutes later we got a paper food truck plate of over-fried, rubbery, greasy, chopped scraps of "calamari." It was obvious that the inner part was freezer burnt and coated with fresh tempura. Neither my husband, toddlers or I were able to bite through any piece. I wish I had taken a picture because it was a fraternity microwaved leftovers plate being served for $11.50. As I sat wondering what our rolls would be like, I got more irritated thinking about at how they would serve this food to anyone. After 3 minutes of contemplating, I took the plate to the front and told the waitress/cook that it was inedible. She blamed the company (I assume their supplier.) I calmly told her that I'm sorry, but we wouldn't be paying for it because the fish was old, hard, had no flavor and couldn't be eaten. I told her to cancel the rest of our order because I could not have my family eating such poor quality food and we would be leaving. I also very politely suggested they find a new supplier because there is no excuse for a restaurant on an island to serve old seafood.. She seemed surprised, but could not deny the plate in front of her. I normally would feel SOOO awful about not paying for food, and this is the first time I have ever left a restaurant because of the horrible quality of a single menu item. I am literally writing this review only to avoid anyone else wasting their time or spending a single dollar here.
