    Assorted sushi pieces - amazing
    Melissa P.

We came here for dinner and everything was amazing. It is expensive but the quality of the food is worth it. We started with the 4 pieces of crispy rice (scallop, salmon, tuna and wagyu) and they were all amazing. My favorite was probably the tuna and wagyu. We also got a caviar nugget and this was great to try but we probably wouldn't get it again. We then got a variety of sushi pieces and they were all amazing, fresh, and great sauces. Lastly, we got the soft serve with every topping on the side and it was the perfect ending to the meal. We would definitely come back.

Came in on a busy Friday night and managed to get a spot with no reservation. Not something I would overly recommend, I think we got lucky! It was a delicious intimate dining experience. The food comes to your table as it ready and I don't think you can really go wrong with anything on the menu. Each dish and bite was better one after the other! For 2, we had the following: 2 hand rolls, 4 sashimi, 1 crispy rice and 3 robota. This was just enough. We maybe could have done one more thing but overall we were really satisfied. The hand rolls are delectable. Super fresh and packed with all the tasty goodness as you make your way through the roll. They also have a wide selection of sashimi, all of which were amazing and carefully articulated with the most flavor packed garnishments. For the robota we went with the chef selection. The steak was so tender you could break it apart with chop sticks. The chicken was also delicious and packed with flavor. When I go back, im just diving into the chefs special in all of the sections, it's really the way to go! Highly recommend for some great Asian eats in Rye!

Cozy and intimate place. It looks like it seats 50 people including bar area. I want to give it a 3.5 star, but it is a place worth going. Open kitchen. It's clean. Food was good. Some dishes better than others. We like the sake. The appetizer was good - blister shishito peppers - The nigiri was good - the sushi rice and pairing with the fish was a good combo. Robata was good. Salmon and pear was nicely done and paired together, wagyu beef was a little tough, mushroom and eggplant was ok. The beef and veggie- needed the pairing sauce. Temaki/ hand roll, we had 3 rolls salmon, tuna and scallops. They were ok. The fish was overly sauced. The crispy rice - beef and scallop. Typically my favorite, but the rice was overly crispy, made it too chewy.

Otoro hand roll, 2 smoked black cod and tuna belly pieces each

My husband and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday night, and it was pretty busy but we were able to get a 745 reservation. It's definitely an upscale and intimate restaurant, and the fish is extremely high-quality. We tried a variety of dishes off the menu, including otoro hand rolls, black cod and fatty tuna belly Nigiri, crispy rice tuna - every single bite was extremely fresh, and melted like butter. The chicken bao buns were delicious with crunchy crispy chicken and a soft bun. The steak skewer was smoky, charred and salty. Overall, the food was absolutely delicious, but I would recommend reviewing the prices. You do need to order quite a bit to have a substantial meal, and most of the sushi on the menu is sold per piece. Definitely worth trying and I plan on going back soon!

10 piece nigiri and salmon bento

I came here with my family on a Friday night for dinner. It was pretty busy, we initially got seated outside but it was quite windy, so we requested if we could actually sit inside and they were really nice about it and seated us inside. The inside felt cozy and intimate. The food came shortly after and it was delicious! We shared the 10 piece nigiri and bento box as well as some hand rolls and they were all amazing. I think my favorite was the spicy scallop hand roll, but I'd recommend all of them any day! 10/10 absolutely coming back.

Random Restaurant Post work drink enjoyed @oko.rye . It looks deceivingly Japanese, but the food options here are Japanese-inspired and created by non-Japanese. Knowing that at the onset, I did enjoy the generous servings of crunchy and heavily battered tempura, chef's special set of "his and hers" nigiri set (for those with a companion/date, two of every kind) and their affordable "Teishoko" meal aka Chef's Meal that has the entire food group covered. Best of all, I enjoyed the restaurant's location in Rye right beside a good-size library with a big lawn and the warm and cleverly designed interiors. Located in Rye, this place is family-friendly despite the bar. Young kids seem at home here #curious_eater #westchesterny

Food 6/10 Honestly it's quite solid seafood, but some of the flavor combinations for the omakase set just did not hit and did not make sense. The Nigori was quite yummy, and paired well with the sashimi. Not the freshest seafood I've had, but it was still very solid, albeit being a bit overpriced. The tempura was lovely though. Atmosphere 7/10 Very bustling little restaurant in Rye, despite it being 8pm on a Thursday night. Super cute interior, clean cut and minimalistic. Service 10/10 We sat at the bar and I loved our bartender. She was super helpful and let me try a sake that I did not end up ordering. It was quite busy, but she was trying her best and I really appreciated that.

Picked this place to try for my birthday dinner. Place is modern, had a bar with seating area and there were some outdoor seating as well. To start, I ordered "one knight only" drink and it was refreshing. For the table we opted to order a few dishes to share since they were small plates. Food was incredible, everything was so fresh and tasty. Presentation was great. My favorites were the pork belly buns (so crispy!) and the spicy tuna crispy. But all the food was amazing and the drinks too. To end I ordered "Clementina" and it was so good and had that real clementine fresh flavor. Service was great, all the staff were amazing, helpful and accommodating. I recommend making reservations. Would definitely recommend this place for any occasion, they even have a kids bento box.

Immediately upon sitting down we saw that the prices were insane for what the menu items actually were. We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer, which was $18 for 4 shrimp. It was very good, but worth it...? I don't know. The sweet potato croquettes had a great texture on the interior and exterior, but absolutely no flavor inside. The dim sum was delicious, but also overpriced for just 4 small soup dumplings. I ordered the stir-fried udon, and the noodles themselves were delicious, but the chicken was tough/overcooked and also had no flavor. The organic grilled chicken was a bit burnt on the outside and too salty. It was a $32 plate for just chicken and a few veggies-- it didn't even come with white rice or anything. For this price point, I'd expect that I'm paying for at least great service. But our waiter left us alone and only checked on us maybe twice the whole time? We were waiting about 15 minutes just to get the check because he'd completely disappeared. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and we were one of just two tables in the section, so I'm not sure why he left us alone for so long. Eventually, two other employees checked us out and packed our food after waiting that long. Overall, it was pretty disappointing and we left wishing we'd just gone somewhere else. I've gone to Japanese restaurants and had the same amount of food (if not more) for better quality, better service, and better price.

We couldn't believe he was still there when we saw him cooking at a different table. Overall, the decor and space haven't changed at all. It well kept with the Japanese theme. Service was great and our waiter was consistently refilling my son's glass. Noise level: high but fun! They still sing happy birthday in Japanese which makes the place entertaining and exciting! Great place for family especially with little kids. So what has changed? Of course the prices which makes sense but unfortunately also the flavor to some of their food. Edo was honestly the best hibachi place back in the days but tonight there were some hits and misses. We always order the combination: steak (filet mignon) and chicken/shrimp every time we come. The combination hibachi comes with a few grilled shrimps as an appetizer, soup, salad, noodles, mixed vegetables, and white rice. Yes, they still toss the zucchini to you to catch which is a great start to any hibachi meal. Soup: (4/5) super light broth with some fried tempura crumbles that floats on top. It used to have a few sliver of sliced mushrooms back in the days but no mushrooms in sight tonight. Salad: (4/5) simple iceberg lettuce with shredded carrots and grape tomatoes topped with their ginger dressing. This hasn't changed and still fresh and tasty. Shrimp: (4/5) used to be more flavorful but still tasty. Mixed vegetables: (5/5) mushrooms, broccoli, zucchini, and onions were tender and were flavorful. I enjoy dipping them into both the hot mustard and ginger soy sauces. Noodles: (2/5) what happened? Bland and lack the savory flavor that we used to love. It used to be the best hibachi noodles hands down so I'm glad we double up the noodles tonight. Super disappointed with the noodles today. Filet mignon: (5/5) thank goodness our steak was tender and super flavorful. Seasoned perfectly and was medium rare as I requested. Fried rice (extra cost): (3/5) good but wasn't great. Just like the noodles, their fried rice used to be so tasty and full of flavor. Unfortunately, today was just good not great. Under seasoned? Chicken: (4/5) chicken was good. It tasted like a lighter version of a chicken teriyaki. We finished off with their complimentary ice cream scoop. Ice cream choices were chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, green tea, and rainbow sherbet. Overall, it's still a great place for dinner with free entertainment. Our chef was young but entertaining. We would probably still continue to come back here but hope they improve their noodles and fried rice recipe.
