Generally, they offer a minimum of three or four options, depending on the time of year. One of the choices is always a traditional "loaded" potato. Lest you think you'll be the recipient of a small, barely visible spud, you won't. The potatoes are the large russet potatoes that can be quite heavy by the time the toppings are added. They are the kind that are heavy even when they aren't loaded. It's a carb-heavy option for those days where it would hit the right spot on the craving spectrum. The food is good, but for the price, they could increase the toppings a little. On the other hand, for something you don't have to make yourself, is served quickly, and is solidly in the comfort food category, Spudnicks is good choice.

With options of pork, beef or vegetarian, the tacos are a wonderful alternative to the everyday. The Frybread is almost like naan in its appearance, but by the time the toppings are added, there's no comparison. Both times I've stopped at this food truck, I've been impressed. The vegetarian taco was delicious. With house-made beans, similar to refried beans, the cheese tomato and creama added a nice balance. Although the menu didn't mention it, either the beans had garlic, or perhaps the frybread, but the taco had an enticing aroma of garlic bread. The frybread was both crispy on the edges and soft in the center, just as it should be. For those with a sweet-tooth, the meal can be topped off with an order of honey bread or wojapi -- made with a Lakota Sioux berry sauce. Both are frybread based. Although I didn't have one this time, I remember the Wojapi as being sweet, but not overly so because the bread kept it from being too much.

I went with the mini, which is still a large corn dog, but next time I'll go with the larger one. The breading was flavorful, with a hint of sweetness from the honey, and fried to a dark golden brown. The hot dog itself was excellent. I will say the service was great here as well. I went with the traditional Ketchup and Mustard, but apparently next time I've been told I need to try it with honey. Keep this cart in business and go get yourself a corndog! You'll be glad you did.

Call it lucidity gone awry. The black and yellow markings -- like a bumble bee - caught me in that weak moment. We tried three items from Corndog's basic menu: The Mini, the small corndog, the deep fried cheese bomb, and the fried babybel cheese pop. Yep. That's right. Everything your doctor warns you against eating on a regular basis. The food came out quickly and in keeping with the bumble-bee theme, you can have honey drizzled on everything. No extra charge for it. With the first bite, I noticed two things: First, the taste of the cornbread coating. I cannot believe that a corndog has coating that good. Forget all that school lunch or frozen food aisle blecch. Second, the coating was nearly as thick as the hot dog. They don't skimp on that. The hot dog almost got lost in that coating. The ratio of cornbread to hotdog worked for me. The cheese bomb and babybel cheese pop were a mix. One was okay; and one so-so. Cheese and cornbread -- that's a combination I can fully support. I was looking forward to tasting it. The cheese bomb wasn't bad. It's a piece of cheese, like string cheese, available in pepperjack, cheddar or mozzarella, and then coated. We picked the cheddar, but in hindsight, the pepperjack might be the way to go for bringing in a pop of flavor. Overall, the bomb was okay, but didn't have the same wow factor as the corndog. Oh, and it was the same size as the mini corndog, so pay attention when they hand you the food or you'll end up with a big bite of surprise. The person I was sharing with thought I was crazy and that the bomb was the best thing ever. So, make of that what you will. The babybel cheese pop was the least successful for me. Again, I didn't think it had much flavor and the cheese on this one got lost in the batter. Kids would love it, I think, because it is kid-size. And -- kids. Overall, The Corndog is an interesting change of pace for food trucks in the area. This is their first location in Montana. It was probably a three-and-half star stop, but the corndog hangup is mine and I can't ding them for that. Besides, they were really, really, nice people.

Well, this food truck's name is slightly misleading. Yes, it has fries and chicken, but the chicken…read moreis not finger sized. It's hand-sized pieces. It takes a while to get your order. I don't have the impression they have anything pre-cooked; it's all made upon ordering. I like that approach because soggy fried chicken is not a positive. If you're in a hurry, it's probably best to order ahead. While I cannot say anything against the size of the chicken pieces, sometimes when I've ordered, I can tell the oil in which it's been fried is not fresh. It gives the batter and the fries an unpleasant taste that the sauces (there are various options) does nothing to hide. In those situations, remove the batter and the chicken itself is okay. The fries are crispy, which I rather like for some reason. Overall, Fingers and Fries is an okay food truck and a nice option from the burger, taco and Asian-food truck choices.

We were helped fairly quickly as well, and our waiter was very friendly. Others in my group tried a few different beers, which they said were good. I had the slushee, which I believe was a wine slushy but didn't actually get what it is. It was delicious-- not too sweet. We also got the charcuterie pretzel which was a perfect snack for our group of four! During happy hour, it was $12. Happy hour is 4pm-6pm Monday-Friday, I believe $4 beers and three appetizers at various prices. There's also a full menu if you're looking to have a meal!
