My rating is a 0. This place is a joke! We waited 30 minutes, and everyone who came in after us were seated before us. When I went to check on where we were in line, they ignored me. Then I was told they called me, which they did not. They had my number correct. So, I was told, "fine, we can seat you here." The lady threw the menus on the table. I asked for a low table, and I was told they did not have any. I pointed out all the empty low tables, and I was told they could not seat me there. They were not friendly or accommodating. We left. This place needs better management, and people who give a shit. read more

OMG - The ribs are awesome. Get them without sauce (nice and crisp that way) and then experiment with all the different sauces at the table. We don't live in the area, but friends took us here, and we heartily endorse their choice. The food is great. The ambience is great. The service is great. After hearing good things at work regarding Old 30 BBQ, my wife and I elect to give it a try last evening. Arrived about 6:00 p.m. to a PACKED parking lot. Thankfully most of the cars were that of golfers, not diners. We are told there is a 15 minute wait for indoor seating, or can be seated immediately on the back deck. Due to the continuing heat and humidity (sigh...) we opt for indoor seating and are given a pager. While walking around, killing time, we walk out back and see there is a live band playing and a large deck and bar. After about 15 minutes we are summoned to our table. The inside dining area is large and there appear to be several other small dining rooms off of the main space. The lighting is slightly dim, tables are spaced out fairly well, and the space, in general, has a Brown Derby Roadhouse kind of vibe - could be a good or bad thing depending on what you like. Several big screen TV's are showing old rock music videos (strange choice). The most recent video I saw was November Rain by Guns and Roses which was from 1992. People seemed to be having a good time, but the volume of people talking is pretty high - one of the louder dining environments I've been in for quite some time. Menu had several items that sparked my attention, most notably the pulled chicken since this is an item I make in my kitchen to some critical acclaim. Also opted for several sides including tater tots, cornbread, green beans, and mac and cheese. Food comes out a little faster than I anticipated at about 15 minutes. The pulled chicken is moist and is good. The portion size is huge for $5.49 and I try the sweet bbq sauce which was one of many options on our table. This version proves to be very good. I would have enjoyed the sandwich a little more if the bun would have been toasted to add texture and to help prevent it from becoming soggy - was still a solid sandwich though. The sides did not prove to be as solid as the sandwich: mac and cheese and green beans were maybe average with the cornbread being unappealing. My wife tried the cornbread and referred to it as "corn sponge bread". It wasn't warmed at all and had a spongy texture and strange flavor. My final side, tater tots, were very crunchy and were done just right. My wife had an "Old 30 Lemonade" as recommended by our waitress. This drink consisted of bourbon, orange liqueur, sugar, and lemonade and was very good. The bar was very generous with the amount of alcohol with my wife seeing two of me at about the midway point of the drink. For her meal she ordered the BBQ Chicken Flatbread and said it was very good. The damage for the meal was about $30 minus tip. Before closing I want to add that the service was GREAT. Hostess was very friendly as well as our waitress. Everyone seemed sincere. Another gentleman - possibly the owner, or manager - asked how we were doing and said to flag him down if we needed anything. If possible, I would give three and a half stars for decent food and great service. While the food was ok, we didn't order anything that had a wow factor, or that we will be craving. Check it out and see what you think; there are certainly many worse options in our area. read more

We found this great restaurant on yelp as we were heading to Maine from Illinois. One of the specials was 1/2 rack of ribs. Absolutely the best ribs I have ever eaten!! Tender, falling off the bone with a delicious glaze. We also had the chicken Flatbread with BBQ sauce. It was really good too. Michael our server was very friendly and attentive. I can't say enough about how much I love this place! The food, the atmosphere, and beer selection are all amazing. I've had several dreams about the ribs! The brisket ever so tender and juicy , the pulled pork ever so flavorful, and the smoke turkey melt in your mouth and the best part you can chose five sauces to put on them from sweet to hot . I recommend the OLD 30 not to sweet and not hot just right. Every thing was just really good , They have a full menu of sandwiches, platters, and appetizers and the prices are pretty good. This was an absolute let down. Heard good things about this place so made the 40 min drive to try it out. First off this was a Friday about 4:30. So my wife and I both got the sampler platter because we both love Q and wanted to try it all. The brisket was bone dry to say the least. It was honestly the worst brisket I have ever had. The pulled pork was right there with it and smoked turkey not too far behind. I truly believe they used left overs from the day before because there is no way fresh Q could be that dry or over cooked by anyone that has a clue. We did also have the loaded chips as an appetizer with brisket which was good. Service was great and the place was clean, but will think twice before we make the trip to try it out again. read more

Found this place on Yelp driving from Mansfield back home to Toledo. Amazing BBQ !!!! The brisket mac and cheese was mouth watering. Best ribs we've ever had !! Should've took pictures but were too busy enjoying our meal. We've been home for hours and are still stuffed. Service was fantastic and quick and knowledgeable. Upon entering its what you'd imagine a BBQ place to look like. Clean and friendly atmosphere. My wife and I were there on a Friday night and a band was scheduled to play. I had the beef brisket, potato salad, green beans and cornbread. The brisket was good, green beans as expected, cornbread moist but I really enjoyed the potato salad. My wife had the pork ribs, she loved them! With sweet potato fries and green beans, all good. In short, great relaxing atmosphere, food was very good and the help was spot on. The only dig on the place is they don't offer any WiFi. We will be back! read more

The outside of the restaurant looks like it's part of the golf course. An out of towner may think it's where you get a golf cart because there are several carts in parking lot. We were seated immediately. We sat outside on a balcony overlooking the golf course. Pleasant atmosphere and not too loud. Our waitress Janai was friendly and didn't rush us. She explained the specials and the menu. My fiancé and I both had the Q-King. The plate presentation was perfect as what you would expect for a BBQ joint. The mac n'cheese was made with Gouda and was creamy but I wasn't a fan. I personally think my Mac n cheese is the best lol. The consistency was nice but the flavor was bland. The smoke turkey was delicious. I added the sweet sauce too it. The Pulled pork texture was perfect but lacked of any seasoning. I had to add salt and pepper (as well as my fiancé on his dish). The sweet bbq sauce saved it but the lack of flavor was noticeable. The brisket was flavorless and dry. I also added salt and pepper and sweet bbq sauce to make it palatable. The spare ribs were perfect texture, color, and size but again the lack of salt, pepper or any seasoning was apparent and I had to salt, pepper and douse it with sweet bbq sauce to eat it. That being said, our waitress was wonderful( looks like Alicia Keys) and our dining was a good experience. Will come again but not for the bbq but maybe for a burger. read more

My husband and I checked the "Yelp App" and found this place. I cannot begin to tell you how much we loved this place! Service was good, employees were friendly and they have the best Mac & Cheese, (appetizers). Very nice portion too! I was thinking about it all the time ... couldn't get it off my mind! Chicken wings juicy, smokerd turkey great I don't even usually like turkey, brisket portion small on sampler. Pulled pork juicy not over cooked. It was on the way home from a long road trip and if you are passing by you should give it a try. I'm not sure how it compares to other local establishments, at the worst it has be to considered pretty good. I would definitely stop back if passing through. I wish they brought by the special BBQ sauce, the name escapes me now, that's my only regret. So find out what it is and ask for it. read more

Great BBQ, service was friendly....food came slow but the waitress checked in with us regularly. My pulled pork had a good sized ball of fat in the center and was not something that I would want to consume. The tater tots were really good and the baked beans were good but would have been great with more brown sugar and some diced onion in them. I tried to take a picture of my platter but was too dark and I didn't want to disrupt the meals of others with flash. All in all it was a place I would recommend. Very impressed with food, service, and environment. My brisket sandwich was delicious and the mac and cheese was creamy and perfect. Mt husband and I sat at the bar and talked with the bartender, who was super friendly and told us of the live music events, the bratwurst festival, and bakers pizza. Brittany made us feel so welcome and even told us to be safe on our travels. I also love how the televisions are varying between sports and music videos. That is unique and awesome. Food was great when they first opened, but after being there 3 more times the meat is now dry, portions are super small, and way overpriced! I left them a bad review on Facebook with other people, and they erased it. You'd think they'd rather listen to the locals in town that go to Old 30, and Bakers Sport Shack(which they own too, and also raised prices on a lot of things $1). I guess not, so we will not be returning to either restaurant again until changes are made. It's not good when you start losing locals who frequent your restaurants more that once a week! read more

Great BBQ at a good Price and I had always recommended this restaurant to my customers. But family was embarrassed and made uncomfortable by the staff on our last visit. My mom had taken her shoes off and had them up on the set, which I think that all my family have done at some point in many different restaurants and have never had any problems. I have also seen this done by people in many restaurants over the years. One of the staff came over and asked if my mother had her shoes in a condescending tone. When my mom said yes they told her that her feet were a health hazard and that she needed to immediately put her shoes on. When my mom explain that she had the shoes off to keep mud and dirt off the seat they told her that they didn't care. While I can understand that the health code might need to have her keep her shoes on, the way that the staff went about it and tone of voice were very demeaning and disrespectful. There were other customers there and they all heard the conversation. I am not sure that we will be back. I really liked the food and had good service up to this point. read more

One of the best (probably the best) BBQ restaurants we have found in Central Ohio area. We came here early on New Years Eve. Started with smoked wings (outstanding) and had ribs (unbelievably tender) for dinner. Get them unsauced so you can try the 4 delicious sauces they have at the table. Very good beer selection also. Recently dined there and don't know why the establishment is so popular. I had the sampler platter which contained three meats, fries, and Cole slaw. I had an Iced Tea also. My dining partner had a burger and fries plus water. Service was good, my food wasn't that great, brisket was rather dry, not real warm but ate it anyhow. Our bill was $35.00 including tip. Happened upon this place traveling home from Ohio to Indiana. Thanks to reviews here decided to try it out. Not far off HWY30. They sat us on the patio, beautiful summer day, nice shade, comfortable seating, and great atmosphere. Staff was kind, knowledgable of the menu, and attentive. Menu had plenty to choose from for 2 adults and our 5 year old. We tried the homemade chips with beer cheese for an app, it was a great choice recommended by our server. The beer menu was also loaded with options for all. I had the BBQ chicken platter ("rubbed, smoked, grilled, glazed, and sauced" says the menu) BEST CHICKEN I HAVE HAD AT A BBQ joint EVER! Absolutely perfect, not dry, moist, full of flavor, cooked all the way through, and huge! Sides between us were Mac n cheese, tots, side salad, and it was all very good too. This will become a must stop for our family as we travel this way often. Have to mention it is also located on a golf course and had a great set up for outdoor live music. Would love to spend a night here eating terrific food and chilling to some live bands. read more

The pork salad was very good. But, review your bill before paying. We were charged for coffee, no one drank coffee at our table. My husband had two beers, the same size, one was $4 the other $5. I asked not to have sauce on my salad because I wanted to try two different sauces. I was told they were on the table. One was, the other was brought from the kitchen and I was charged $.50 for less than an ounce of sauce. read more
