South Fork has become a staple for my family whenever we are in town. The early dining is quite the steal (2 entrees for $49 plus a bottle of wine)! If you just got the entrees themselves, they would be more than $49 so that's already a good deal. Early dining is from 4-6pm but well worth it! I think every dish I have tried from this restaurant is great. The salmon and mahi mahi are both cooked well and fall apart so easily. Nothing is too sweet or too salty. The short rib is flavorful and is quite tender. And if you're in the mood for dessert, I recommend the bread pudding. Definitely consider coming here if you want a good deal and food well worth the money! read more

Had a reservation at 6:15 for 2. Seated by 6:20. Our waitress was personable. Although the wine selection was small due to unavailability, we liked our final choices. The only things saving this place from a one-star are that the server was nice, and that the desserts were good. Here's a list of things that went wrong: 1) We called ahead of time, and confirmed an indoor table; however, ended up outdoors. The same hostess who answered the call was at the front, and gave my mother attitude when we asked to be seated inside. 2) We were served water in dirty glasses TWICE. 3) Half of our food orders were wrong, and the fish (was it grouper? Was it snapper?) was totally overcooked. 4) Wrong food orders are one thing, but one of the food runners actually argued with my 90 year old grandmother about something that she 100% did not order. Won't be returning, but PLEASE do better. Coconut Point is going through some changes but relies on its anchor restaurants actually being somewhere worth eating at. read more

My parents recommended this place because they had a nice lunch at their last visit a week ago. I went with my dad for lunch & it was underwhelming. Food was average. I will say the coconut shrimp appetizer with the chili dipping sauce & side of slaw was excellent. My dad had the grouper sandwich & said it was disappointing. Very dry & served with no tartar sauce. The grilled grouper fish tacos were okay. Not terrible but not the best I've had. I had them with the side of green beans & to me the green beans were the highlight. Service was average & it wasn't even busy. The manager was great & if it wasn't for him checking on us we wouldn't have gotten refills on drinks, extra napkins, or tartar sauce. He also delivered the food to our table. He was constantly making rounds to check on tables & was very very nice. It was nice to see a manager so involved. A member of our party knew one of the workers there it was also her birthday. We had a reservation for 6 at 5pm. Our table was ready and waiting for us which also had personal flowers and a card from the employee who knew the birthday girl. We all had the $49 early bird special which is comprised of 2 entrees and a bottle of house red or white. Everyone enjoyed their food but the one dish of salmon was under-fired due to the request of medium rare so it was re-fired with no pushback at all. Having been here multiple times since it opened, yesterday's visit for lunch was definitely my best experience here yet! Our lunches were super fresh and tasty! Previous visits, the food seemed somewhat underwhelming, but not this time. My salmon burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a cool, refreshing Jicama slaw on the side. My Mom had the South Fork Salad, with grilled chicken, which was nicely dressed, super fresh, and had perfectly cooked chicken on it. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We sat outdoors, as we had a pet with us, but the inside looks modern, and has expanded since the last visit. The outdoor seating was clean and bright, though it appears one of the awnings needs repairs. No big deal. As a year-round local who has supported and recommended this restaurant to many friends and visiting family, I was really disappointed by my most recent visit. My partner and I arrived for dinner at 8:26 PM -- well within their posted hours, which say open until 10:00 PM. Upon entering, the bartender saw us but didn't acknowledge us. There was a couple having drinks at the bar, but otherwise no host or staff in sight. We waited, then my partner flagged down a waitress to ask for a table. She told us she needed to check with the manager -- which already felt off. When the manager came over, she informed us the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes. I mentioned that their Google listing shows a 10 PM closing time. Her response? "It's been slow, so we decided to close early." No apology, no concern -- just a shrug. We decided not to stay since the kitchen was closing early anyway, and the manager made no effort to engage further or offer a solution. We simply walked out. This isn't how you treat guests -- especially local, repeat customers. Closing 90 minutes early with no notice isn't just bad business; it's misleading. If you want to close early, update your hours online and on-site. Otherwise, people make plans and waste their time. I hope management takes this seriously. This kind of customer service leaves a bad impression -- and it's the kind of thing that keeps people from coming back. read more

We were disappointed with SF. Probably politically incorrect to say so, but we had some clown-looking waiter with stars pasted onto his cheeks, what's that all about. Bread and butter were served, I recall it being good. We both ordered filet mignon, and they were very lackluster, served cafeteria style: a bed of mashed potatoes, 5-6 strands of asparagus, with the filet plopped on top of it and covered with some sort of brown gravy. No need to ask for the A1. Asked for a steak knife and the waiter responded that the serrated knife that I had to use to butter the bread is what they provided. Asked for another of the knives because I was bothered, not because it had butter on it. So, if you want to spend $100+ for 2 filet mignon served cafeteria style by a clown, this is your place. read more

We went with friends and enjoyed. I had a snapper special that came with perfectly tender, cooked asparagus. The serving was plentiful and delicious. Was kinda like a cream sauce. The crunchy tuna app was my favorite. Also had lichee martinis, yum. My husband had the scallops and enjoyed. We shred the goats cheesecake, a bit dry l, had good flavor. Our server was Kirsten and she was incredible, really nice, helpful and so on the ball, thank you!! Very sweet young lady. I'm here for a business trip and I like to check and explore local restaurants so I was looking for a place to eat for dinner on Sunday right after shopping and I'm glad I found this place! Food is excellent! And I love Amanda! The most accommodating server i've ever encounter! Is it because I'm in Bonita Springs, Florida? :-) Most servers I've encountered in Naples, Florida got an attitude. Anyway back to South Fork Grill everything she recommended was delicious! I have been a patron of Southfork for as many years as it has been open. I have always gone there to get fresh grilled grouper. Several days ago, I ordered my favorite Grilled Grouper. Sat at the bar with the fantastic bar tender Jessica! We came with a couple of friends for Happy Hour, and yes the average age of patrons is 65+. However, the atmosphere is cute, they have outdoor seating options, along with dining room and bar seating. The menu offers a variety, but I was not impressed with the food. I had a caprese salad - which was super fresh and delicious. I also had the Buddha bowl - which was underwhelming. Came out pretty soggy. It had the potential for great flavor and texture but it definitely disappointed. I finished it off with the key lime pie - which was also disappointing. It was pretty mushy and reminded me of a key lime pie that comes from the back of a jello pudding box. The only reason I gave this restaurant 4s - is for the amazing bartender Jessica! Tried South Fork Grille for the very first time for their Happy Hour. It runs from 4-6pm and offers nice drink specials on wells, wine and beer. They have nice variety of food specials from apps, to salads and sandwiches to even a very good offer of 2 entrees plus a bottle of wine for $30. We opted for a bourbon and coke and white wine. For food we started with the baked brie which was soooooooo good. It comes with honey and fig jam with both sliced green apples and bread. YUM. Then we shared the steak and caramelized onion sandwich. We knew it was going to be good when they ask how you want your steak cooked. The steak on the sandwich was perfect and nice thick slices that were so tender. A definite repeat for both the food items. Oh, almost forgot the bread basket, it was great, The bread was crusty on the outside and so chewy and wonderful on the inside. The perfect bread basket. Service was great and relaxed, no rushing you here. We sat at a high top in the bar and just enjoyed the place. All the staff we spoke with were very helpful and friendly. read more

We had a 5:15 reservation indoors. Plenty of time to make our theater at 7:30. We arrived at 5:10 to find that they had given our table to people who had an outdoor reservation. It was raining. We waited a half hour. No table. Had to go home and eat quick leftovers to make the theater. read more

We thought about giving a "1" rating; but the server was nice enough to apologize for the sad behavior of a 'busboy' - These were what we experienced: 1. We ordered the 'mussels' for starters; and was brought in by a very rude busboy. We asked for a bowl for the 'mussels' shells.; and crudely w/ contempt, he grabbed the bowl of mussels and shoved the bread basket away. Without a word, the small fork fell and splashed the sauce on my lap. Thank goodness I had a napkin to catch the spilled sauce. He abruptly left without a word. I came close to leaving with my husband; but took a deep breath and continued our meal (since we drove about 10 miles to get here to use our 'gift card'). 2. As we finished the mussels, the same busboy came with our entrees. There were 4- dishes that filled a small table and I asked to please clear the table to make room for the entrees. He ignored our request; and instead moved the dirty dishes at the far corner of the table and left - very disrespectful. We have not seen anything like it. We've been meaning to try this place for some time. We sat outside next to the noisy parking lot for lunch. We had the Lamb Sliders and the Steak Salad, and both were just fine, though the sliders were skimpy on the lamb and the steak was undercooked. Any downers? Yes, the server was nice but wore NO MASK and admitted to being UNVACCINATED. Not good. Minor point: the flatware was thin and cheap, like it was from a dollar store. They can do better, I believe. On a couple recommendations I had lunch here and I was pretty disappointed. First off there was a hand sanitizer dispenser both outside and inside the front door. Both were empty. That's fine, but when the hostess saw us trying she said "yeah I think all those are empty" which... ok. Then I go to the bathroom and the sink handle came off in my hand. Not great. We got the Arancini as an app, it was great. My mother got Mussels as a meal, she loved them. Partner had the grouper sandwich, it was great. I had the fish and chips, and it was terrible. We all agreed it was over battered, and that the fry oil may not have been hot enough because it was basically mush. Super oily, terrible texture. My mother argued it wasn't fresh enough but I mostly thing the oil permeating the whole fish was the problem. The potatoes were under seasoned (didn't seem to even have salt) and the jicama slaw was bland as all hell. We also got drinks. The Negroni was fine but the South Fork Iced Tea was terrible. It was far too gin-forward in flavor. A blue cocktail that's a riff on a long island is nice in theory, but not in practice. Service was mediocre. We had to ask twice for a cocktail menus and we would've ordered another round or maybe desserts (I was still hungry because my food was so bad) but there we didn't get another table touch. read more

This was not my first time here but I was impressed with the new layout, changes, and they added a lot more outdoor seating. We did the early dining and it was worth it because it included a bottle of their house red or white wine. I got the chicken Milanese because I love balsamic glaze and the greens mixed on top all went well together. The chicken was nicely seasoned and cooked well. Underneath it all were the potato wedges that were seasoned and cooked perfectly crisp on outside. My partner got the Tuscan capellini which he liked and both meals were really large portions we couldn't finish it all. We will definitely be back to try their desserts next time. Tip: make reservations because they fill up fast. It was hard to get a later reservation for 5pm. read more

If I could give this place NEGATIVE TEN starts I would.. I will never step foot into this establishment again. And I have told EVERYONE I know. From the moment we stepped, the service was AWFUL. Not a smile or welcoming comment from the hostess. In fact - she was RUDE. Should have been my first clue. The restaurant was not busy (we had opted for a later dinner so this was expected). We each ordered Filet Mignon (at $42 each! not cheap right??). We waited for 1 hour 40 minutes. Yep - you can read that again. ONE HOUR 40 MINUTES. New patrons around us , arrived, ordered, ate and left and we were still waiting. In my home, a medium filet takes 10 minutes or less to cook. I make them often. The waitress flagged a manager - who did offer to pay for our ONE glass of wine each. (WHAT?? How about an appetizer? WHILE WE WERE SITTING THERE. Or one of our dinners??). After his offering, both he and the waitress disappeared. i mean MIA. We sat another 40 minutes when the lovely couple seated next to us said "If I were you, I'd just leave. That's unacceptable". Obvious to others as well, in other words. We had already been starting to think along those lines, and this just solidified our decision. We each left a tip for the waitress (hope she got it with that awful management) because that's who WE are and we know it wasn't her fault-- and walked out. NO ONE EVEN NOTICED. There was no one at the front door on our way out. (and tbh, I was glad to not have to see that RUDE woman again). I have never done that before, but it was the best decision.
