We had two projects in mind that involved opposite ends of our 1970's-built home. Babak began with multiple, relaxed interviews with us, in which he gathered an impressive amount of information about how we live, how we use parts of our home, what are differences in taste between my husband and me, etc. When he got back to us with sample design options, we were downright gleeful at his ability to crystallize what we were each looking for, and his tactful way of pulling our disparate tastes and visions together into cohesive, practical design. And he did all that while keeping his eye on the vintage of our home, its innate style, so that in the end the newly remodeled rooms blended seamlessly into our existing, older home. The construction process was lengthy, but always clearly focused and sequenced out on a calendar in advance. We felt at ease with the security of our home, their efforts to minimize noise, keeping us informed at each step, as well as efforts to clean up at the end of each day. The individual workers from Old Castle Design Center were, to the one, responsive, careful, courteous, and thoughtful in getting their work done while we were still living there. Finishing details drug out for several months after crews had moved on to other projects, and seemed to become lower priority, but I've never doubted that they would all get done. I trust that Babak will be responsive to us if any issues might develop in the future, and that is a great reassurance. We're very grateful to Old Castle Design Center. For us, it was the right size firm for our job, and gave us creative planning and quality workmanship, done with financial clarity and complete trustworthiness. Do not trust this man or his employees!! google his name and you're going to find multiple lawsuits and fraudulent activity on his part. I am one was a victims and had to battle for over two years to get my kitchen. He will not take credit cards and only takes checks so that you cannot get your money back. He will say he's giving you a big discount if you pay in full or if you order within the month before "the prices go up ". He owes all of his suppliers money so they will not release your product. He uses fraudulent pictures from the Internet to pretend like your appliances have been damaged so he can delay delivery. He also will make extreme threats to get you to pay him more money. read more

Babak sold me a Thermador range on 9/09/2025 and I wrote him a check for 6K and some change. I still have no range and he says he's not sure if the check was cashed when I've asked for my money back. I have followed up with him multiple times and only get excuses. I have threatened legal action will no response. I would not do business with him under any circumstances. read more

We had a very simple kitchen remodel that started in September of 2021, it was finished by August 2022. Mr. Kohan is a very difficult person to work with. The measurements and design were wrong. We had the design made by a lady named Donna, who left the company shortly thereafter. Her designs and measurements were wrong, and Mr. Kohan, instead of correcting a wrong, kept insisting we made a mistake. Even though we showed him the signed designs weren't similar to the ones he had on hand. Mr. Kohan kept lying about the delivery of materials and when personnel from his company would be in to keep working on the kitchen. To cap it all off, it's been a couple of months since the end of our projects. We had an electrician come an inspect tour breaker panel and we were informed that Old Castle's electricians used the wrong breaker for the Oven combo. Needless to say, we just paid to have the correct ones installed since I will never have Mr. Kohan's company touch anything in the house. read more

We worked with Old Castle's Miami Circle, Atlanta location to renovate the 2 bathrooms in our midtown Atlanta condo (the State Bridge Rd, Duluth location is closed). The were difficult at best! Old Castle exceeded the one month estimate and completion took 3 1/2 months. They exhibited poor communication skills, were unresponsive and careless, significantly damaging our existing bathroom vanities, kitchen cabinets, kitchen sink and failed to cover our outdoor terrace, left caked up cement and adhesives on the surface which therefor needs repair/repainting. We eventually agreed a resolution with them but they did not do any of the agreed repairs to our vanities/cabinets. We have never posted a negative review on social media for any other service provider but strongly recommend that you select a different contractor. read more

WHAT DO YOU MEAN, NO PICTURES? A couple of things immediately bothered me about this place, no posted hours on the door and a sign that says absolutely no pictures. What???? That's a deal breaker. I refuse to do business with a business who does not allow me to take photos of the materials and models that interest me. This allows me to mull things over, compare colors with current appliances, and really consider how my choices could potentially look in my space. What are you hiding? I have never heard of this policy as most design centers encourage you to look around and take as many photos as you like so that you can narrow down your choices and make a decision. They have great volume but minimal space. The showroom was very cluttered and the specific areas were just not clearly defined. I want to see each room separated, organized and labeled in a thorough and cohesive manner. If you are going to have displays, they should be carefully coordinated and make sense. Like I said, they had great volume, a variety of different types of materials for the kitchen and bath, along with accessories and fixtures, but since they weren't labeled or identified it was difficult to determine their use. We were particularly interested in their bathtubs but found them to be more decorative than functional. Our current tub has a nice step up feature and narrows at the point of entry. These were very deep or very high and just made no practical sense, (this is where a photo would be helpful). Perhaps they cater to a special mutant population that is super tall and enjoys climbing rather than stepping into the tub. Because of the sheer volume of materials and the fact that the employees were very nice and approachable, they get three stars. I on the other hand had a two star experience and will be exploring other options. read more

Well she was right and we were so pleased with the customer service that we received there. They have the best selection I have ever seen of tile, flooring, cabinetry, door hardware, and plumbing. Agree with the other poster that the "no photos" policy is ridiculous. The store was also very crowded and not labeled well. It felt like there was no air conditioner running so it was extremely stuffy. We went there to explore options around replacing our stand-up shower. I guess this isn't a big enough job for them because a man greeted us, heard we were interested in that, then quickly showed us faucets and said the glass was around the corner. They had about 10 different 11x17 pieces of glass with handles on them but nothing was explained to us about the process. So I had to go find the same guy again who finally gave us a little more detail but it was clear he didn't take us seriously or was really interested in our business. He gave us a ball park price per square ft for the shower and encouraged us to go for the complete bathroom remodel. Overall, it was a waste of time and I learned nothing more than the fact that I will never go to this store/showroom again. read more

Early this afternoon I walked into the Old Castle Home Design Center. It was beautifully appointed. A very nice young lady greeted me. Before we really had an opportunity to get into a conversation about tubs, an older gentleman briskly walked up and completely took over the conversation. I explained that I was going to remodel my master bathroom and was looking for a freestanding tub to replace our old one. This gentleman became rather short with me and was very condensing. It was obvious that he was not interested in speaking with me concerning freestanding tubs. I left the store and said I would continue my search elsewhere. read more

I was looking for specific tiles from one manufacturer. The manufacturer listed Old Castle as carrying the tile, so I called to confirm and find out their hours. The woman I spoke with confirmed they carried the tile. The next day, when I walked in and asked about the tile, an older man told me they no longer carried the tile, that I really didn't want that tile anyway and I shouldn't believe the manufacturers website. When I told him I had called the store and was told they carried the tile, he started berateing me because no one at Old Castle would have told me that. It wasn't until the woman working with him told him she had spoken to me and she had told me they carried the tile that he finally backed off. At that point I was so offended and insulted that I wouldn't have bought a pencil from Old Castle. If you want to be called a liar, shop here. If you want good customer service, go somewhere else. read more

I went to visit Old Castle Home Design this afternoon to look at some new kitchen faucets. When I arrived I was greeted and welcomed by two sales associates. They helped show me around and provided suggestions. I then took a photo of one of the fixtures as I wanted to show my wife some of the faucets that would look good in our kitchen when the owner approached me in a very bad manner and started yelling at me because I took the photo. He said there were signs all around the store, however to be honest I did not notice them. I immediately left the store when I decided to walk back in and inform the owner that he lost a customer for life because of the way he treated me. He continued to belittle me and not take responsibility for his actions. I informed him that the customer is always right and he should treat people with dignity and respect. Needless to say I will never visit Old Case Home Design or recommend them to anyone. read more
