2 of us went at a non-peak dinner hour during a week day. We waited at the host stand for a significantly long time. When the hostess finally came out, we just asked to sit in the bar area. We were told to go ahead. She came by and removed the excess settings. We were in the direct line of site of the bartender. He was chatting with one of the 4 people he had at the bar. We sat and waited for over 20mins. We were never brought water. We were never greeted. We literally had NO service at all. We were passed by multiple times by one server. I could see at the server station the hostess chatting at the server while she rang things in. A manager, of sorts, seemed to be chatting at the hostess stand with the hostess as we got up and left. "Thanks guys"....is what we heard when we were leaving. They were not busy in terms of clientele. However, it is obvious that there is no team work happening there, and nobody really cares anyway. The bartender was far more interested in BS-ing with the random guy posted up at the bar despite the fact I know he saw us. The server that passed by us multiple times without so much of any acknowledgement couldn't handle more than one task at a time as she picked up the empty beer glass from the single gentleman sitting directly across from us and looked right at our table before just walking away. I ordered a "Threefer and the calzone was mostly bread. I asked for a refill on my drink when it was 1/2 empty and ended up going to the bar to get a refill after eating ice in place of a drink. I finished that drink before the waitress came back again and then mentioned she would get my wife and I refills. We were finished with our meal and were waiting to get our bill when we realized we hadn't gotten our dessert that was ordered at the beginning. We got the dessert finally and our bill. we have eaten at OC for several years but due to busy life we have not been there for a few month. We decided to have pizza and went with a delivery and it was not the delivery fault is was the making of the pizza. We ordered the thick pan crust and got thin crust. We ordered Canadian bacon and there was none. We also asked for olives and got a full can. Not sure if it just because of the delivery or what but not sure we will visit anytime soon. read more

I am shocked at the 2 stars. Google showed 4.0 and we ordered a small pizza, applewood boneless wings, and a pepperoni calzone. After a long day with friends, we were too tired to go out and decided to have something delivered to our hotel room. The food arrived hot and delicious. The 6 boneless wings were really good and also quite large. The pizza (cheese, sausage, olives) was enjoyed and we ate the whole thing! The calzone. Oh the calzone. We asked what individual was, she said 9 slices and the lg was 26 squares? Well the 9 slice was 8 inches and the 26 was about 16 inches. They said they cut it in 26 sq prices, what a scam, 26 2 inch squares? Also the menu wasn't up to date, no wine for happy hour, but it was on the menu. We were told the menu wasn't updated? Lastly the pizza was warm not hot. The bar music was so loud you could talk across the table. The best thing was that our waitress was very nice and kind! Tonight I went to Old Chicago Pizza for a meal while my wife was at book club. The waiter took my order after about 10 minutes. I waited another 15 minutes for my beer. The food came 15 min later. The plate was warm, the food was cold. I sent it back. After another 15 minutes I watched the people that came in after me, finish their meal and start to pay their bill. I went to the manager and explained the service situation. I was willing to pay for the beer but she "comped" my "meal".( which I never got). I was searching for some gluten free items before leaving grand junction. The pizza looked amazing from this place so we waited until 11am and they were open so we could go! I got the veggie pizza with cauliflower crust and it was the best cauliflower crust I'd ever had on a pizza! We ordered pickup through doordash and got there pretty early and were waiting in our car for it to say ready. After about 40 minutes after ordering someone decided to go in and check and lo and behold, it was ready. This is honestly my only gripe, we order through doordash so it will let us know when it's ready. Anyways, I loved the kids pizza and that you could pick two toppings for them vs some other places that limit you to one for kids pizza. We also ordered a cauliflower pick your toppings pizza (not pictured) and my husband said he really enjoyed it. My calzone was a touch doughy, but was really good and they didn't skimp on the fillings. The buffalo wings, one was a little cold in the middle, but the rest seemed fine. The celery was warm, but that's expected when it's in a box with something hot. Here's why I usually order my soda without ice because what comes out of a soda dispenser is usually cold enough but the soda I received was warm. 4) I really fee some remodeling or maybe I interior and exterior upkeep would be a good idea . It looks a bit rundown inside and out 5) The pizzas flavor was " ok" not bad but not incredible either . A couple of nights ago we decided to order pizza for take-out (COVID surge). We decided to try a new to us restaurant and I looked at their website and found that there are no prices posted. There are no size descriptions either. So I called and talked to a pleasant young woman who told me the following: a small is an individual pizza. A large is 14". There is a medium option (12") but that only comes in the thicker crust. I ordered two large, thin crust pizzas and the toppings were nothing special. When he came home I was absolutely astounded when he to,d me the price with a small tip for the young staff who brought the pizza to the car - $70!! Seventy dollars for two average pizzas! And the pizza was very average tasting. Nowhere near as tasty as Hot Tomato or Junction Square. I learned my lesson. read more

Our server acted like we ruined her night, talking to us in a rude tone, rushing and interrupting us through our ordering process, and even yelled at us took move our plates (that we were in the process of moving) because our food was coming out. I have always loved pizza from Old Chicago pizzeria. But yesterday I went in to order one large pizza and they were charging me $35 for one pizza. No pizza is worth $35. They won't be getting my business anymore. The last time I went in to order pizza it cost me a little over $20 which I thought was expensive but I was willing to pay the extra for the quality. For $35 that pizza better be made out of gold! And of course it wasn't. Goodbye Old Chicago.
