Staff members have done a good job keeping it clean and well maintained. A lot of new and popular brands have opened their store here. It has direct passageway to the Path train station due to which gets a lot of foot traffic. The mall has three floors with top floor having the food court and AMC. The food court has some of the popular chains like Shake Shack, Chic-fil-a, Gong Cha, Panda Express and Sarku. The mall also has a Meet Fresh, Cheesecake Factory, Kura Sushi and Macy's. There are several other apparel, shoes, cosmetic and perfume stores in other two floors. The mall is spacious and open. The parking lots adjacent to the mall are not free. Depending on parking period, the parking cost ranges between $5-$20. We mainly come here when we are in JC and want to stop by Meet Fresh.

I see great potential for this area and this mall. I went in thinking the place was dilapidated and run down. But what I saw was a clean mall with stores that serve the local community with affordable shops and some creative little shops. If you're looking for the King of Prussia, Sur Le Table, Nordstrom's, Bergdorf Goodman, Victoria's Secret, Tiffany's or Starbucks this isn't that mall. The bigger name brand type stores in this mall are TJ Maxx/Marshall's, Staples, PayLess, Subway, Popeyes, Applebee's, Habachi Grill Buffet Restaurant, Old Navy, Chuckie Cheese, Big Lots!, Lowe's, Bath & Bodyworks, Coffee Beanery (similar to Starbucks), optical stores, Game Station, Bank of America ATM, Pizza Palace, a really well stocked and clean dollar store called A DOLLAR...just to name a few. There's even a movie theater!! Really clean and has 7 theaters all playing the latest films and is clean with great screens and lots of seating for every screening and the theater closes at 10:15pm nightly. There was a leather goods store that was pretty surprising with their leather goods! Super deals on men and women's leather goods, shoes, bags, jackets and even jewelry. Overall I wasn't disappointed like the other reviewers on here, in fact I was pleasantly surprised at the offerings in this mall. I believe in giving small businesses a try as well as the big brand names. The only reason I didn't give the Mall a 4 or 5 star is because of the lack of advertising about the Mall and the so few people there were there to shop till they drop. Ina way it works to ones advantage to super freedom to move around freely without having to push through throngs of people!! And the fact that you can find great deals all to yourself because this one may just be a diamond in the rough. ;-)

I think very well that the quality of this mall is horrible and that nobody shows up here because the service is very horrible in terms of things like all the shops closing. Leaving businesses that also had bad service there means the service of the mall will gradually decline and it should not be there if the property managers cannot handle it. The shorts also didn't fit, so I drove back to the store hoping to exchange them for a different size. I completely understand that stores have policies, and I respect the no-exchange policy. However, I paid in cash and wasn't informed of that policy at checkout, which made the situation a little confusing. What disappointed me most was the way the situation was handled. Instead of trying to help or understand the issue, the employee I spoke with seemed to assume I wasn't being truthful about where or when I purchased the item. I was told that I may have bought it at another location, even though this was my first time ever visiting the store and I had purchased multiple items that day. The shorts still had the original tag and security device attached, showing they had never been worn. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--just hoping to exchange them for a size that fit after having to make an extra trip because the security tag had been left on. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What left a negative impression was feeling talked down to rather than treated like a valued customer. A little understanding and customer service would have gone a long way.

Even though Shop-Rite is closer to my house, I mainly food shop here because shop-rite is always a crowded zoo. The supermarket used to be an A&P, but recently switched over to Acme. I also hit up Pier 1 from time to time, and just like everything else in this shopping center, it's rarely crowded which is really nice. Other stores include Best Buy, a beauty supply store and a couple of fast food options. I wish that there was something healthier to eat, because your only choices are a Popeyes or a Papa Johns. But, definitely not a big deal. There aren't too many shopping centers in Jersey City and it's nice to have this as an option!

Most of my visits here have actually been for that - business for one of my clients family attorney. Several floors up after getting clearance is a fancy suite where I'm sure high profile law meetings take place as it is extremely high end looking and assume the other floors look the same. In the main area is an extension of what Newark Penn Station is like, New York Penn as well with various shops to consider before you travel. From what I can tell it serves it's purpose. An upscale office building complete with security, an art gallery on the lower level but shops that offer passage to Downtown Newark and Newark Penn. There is a parking garage just outside of the building that I find handy in my visits here.

If you commute into and out of Newark, Gateway Center is very convenient - especially when it's…read moreraining or snowing outside. If you are traveling into Newark Penn Station, you can get to Mulberry Street (one block from Broad Street) through Gateway's skyway. On your way, you can get a coffee or a quick grab-and-go snack at one of the shops inside. There are two Dunkin' Donuts, two Subways, and a few non-big-chain eateries (Nagoyaka, City Beans, COTIDIANO, Metro Café, etc.). There are also a few convenience stores, a New York Sports Club, and the Gateway Project Spaces. You can also enter the Hilton Gateway from inside Gateway Center. Gateway is comprised of four corporate buildings (1, 2, 3, and 4 Gateway). Midday, office workers will flood the skyway getting lunch or heading outside during their break. On a Devils night, many fans use the Gateway to get to Prudential Center, which is on Mulberry Street. Again, the best thing about Gateway is its convenience. My only forewarning is - during off-peak times of the day - be alert. While there is security during the work week, security presence isn't as visible during the weekend. I had a bad experience where a homeless man grabbed my arm when I wouldn't give him money, and no one was around to help me. This isn't a common occurrence, but just be careful.
