Hudson Mall is a good and convenient place that has a variety of different stores that is very helpful,especially for last minute shopping and the convenience of shopping here is great! Amir if parking availability and it's free! lol. They also have food places to choose from like Popeyes, Terriakye , Applebees ( across the parking) which are all good options and foods are yummy! It's not a busy and hectic mall so shopping here is peaceful and quiet. They have a gym inside and also an Amazon station which is also very convenient! As for kids, they have a small section where kids can ride those animal wheelers that are mobile and can ride around. Prices are reasonable and would recommend checking it out! read more

I'd like to say this is a quaint spot to shop but I also didn't want to take photos of abandoned store fronts in this place. A lot of this mall looks like it belongs on "Abandoned Malls From the 1980s" and also seems to be on its way to vacancy!! There's a few signature shops inside the 1-level mall and more useful stores outside on the property's surroundings. There are so many empty shops in the mall itself it's not really worth trekking to to spend a day out. Hudson Mall is a convenient store to make several stops. The combination of such stores as Marshalls and HomeGoods allows easily finding the things that are needed without paying excessive attention. Parking is not a problem normally and design is relatively simple so one does not spend time walking around without any purpose. I'm shocked by some of the previous reviews of this mall. The previous reviewers are clearly snobs, trolls, delusional about their stations about their class (suffering from classism), or part of the elite super rich that happened onto this Mall by accident. I see great potential for this area and this mall. I went in thinking the place was dilapidated and run down. But what I saw was a clean mall with stores that serve the local community with affordable shops and some creative little shops. If you're looking for the King of Prussia, Sur Le Table, Nordstrom's, Bergdorf Goodman, Victoria's Secret, Tiffany's or Starbucks this isn't that mall. The bigger name brand type stores in this mall are TJ Maxx/Marshall's, Staples, PayLess, Subway, Popeyes, Applebee's, Habachi Grill Buffet Restaurant, Old Navy, Chuckie Cheese, Big Lots!, Lowe's, Bath & Bodyworks, Coffee Beanery (similar to Starbucks), optical stores, Game Station, Bank of America ATM, Pizza Palace, a really well stocked and clean dollar store called A DOLLAR...just to name a few. There's even a movie theater!! Really clean and has 7 theaters all playing the latest films and is clean with great screens and lots of seating for every screening and the theater closes at 10:15pm nightly. There was a leather goods store that was pretty surprising with their leather goods! Super deals on men and women's leather goods, shoes, bags, jackets and even jewelry. Overall I wasn't disappointed like the other reviewers on here, in fact I was pleasantly surprised at the offerings in this mall. I believe in giving small businesses a try as well as the big brand names. The only reason I didn't give the Mall a 4 or 5 star is because of the lack of advertising about the Mall and the so few people there were there to shop till they drop. Ina way it works to ones advantage to super freedom to move around freely without having to push through throngs of people!! I love this area, but the problem is that they closed the theater that I went to 4 years ago I think- the glades store is quite ehhh ish okay but the glasses there breaks easily. There's GameStop , too, (it stinks in there so watch on ur own time...) they have a hibachi grill Asian lke OMG THE FOOD THERE! But they charge you extra if you waste,.. usually for 3/4 bowls is like 50-70$ but yeah not that expensive! Definitely not your typical mall, but had some big brand name stores like Bath and Body Works, GameStop, Popeyes etc. Seems like there's more independent or small brand names. The store Rainbow was decent, great sales and cute clothes. Reminds me of Charlotte Russe. However I rate it two stars because of the FLIES. It's so disgusting. As soon as me and my friends walked in, I had a fly, flying around me. And they're not big ones, they're little fruit flies, but still nasty. I thought it was annoying but didn't think too much since I thought it might have just snuck through the door. But we headed to Game Stop and there were FLIES on the games, walking all around on the products, same with Bath and Body Works. It really was disgusting. I bought a body spray for a gift, and found a smashed fly on the bottom of it. You bet I sanitized the entire bottle when I got home. Surprisingly there were no flies while I was in Rainbow. Kept joking that someone or something died in the mall and that's why there were flies all around... I'm already kind of a 'big brand' shopper, like to shop popular brands like Forever21. So ghetto and so not fabulous. This mall nested next to the Lowe's on RT 440 is from an era gone by. It first off happens to smell real bad, I think due to the Popeyes at the entrance? Secondly, and most importantly, this mall really doesn't have much going for it: GameStop, Bath Body Works, AT&T, B of A, TMobile, Footlocker. That's about it. Oh, they have a security guard in front of the Footlocker. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Overall, this mall isn't prime for shopping. I know it could use a lot of help but it's a landmark and has been around since my mother was a little girl. And I've gone there my entire life. I think it could benefit from a Michael's or something really unique to set it apart. I don't want to see this mall that was a huge part of my childhood disrespected like this. If you're coming to Jersey City to experience it's rich history then you have to go here, to the Lowe's and talk to people from the heights or Bergen Lafayette. These families have been here for generations like mine and they know way more than people downtown who just moved here from New York (of whom most of the reviews are from). The Hudson mall is a humble and old building but it's integral to the history of Jersey City and has been since it's creation. I came here when I was 6 or 7 y.o back in the day. They had a pretty cool arcade that I would spend my father's money at. Those were the days. Now? Bruh. I mean, if you like Popeyes and the gym, this place has both. I keep coming back for the Amazon Lockers...which are awesome if you live in a city and don't wanna ship packages to your place. This mall used to be "poppin" when I was a youngin. It had an arcade, the Chinese restaurant on the corner, used to host many events for the holidays where kids can participate. It was like the "go-to" mall for the hood lol. This review is only for the stores inside the mall. Now, I feel like this mall is just taking up space. The only good stores here are Popeyes, Subway, Coffee Beanery, the "Italian" restaurant, dollar store, Foot Locker, Bath and Body Works, Game Stop, and Staples. They put a gym next to a hibachi buffet! There are many shoe stores, by the way, which is unnecessary. The theater is crap! I saw they put Amazon lockers which is a huge plus! I feel like there are many stores that are a thing of the past, are just unnecessary and are just taking up space for better stores to come and make this mall thriving again. There's many room for improvement and I hope this mall can make a comeback one day! read more

I recently moved to jersey city and been to Lowes more then once and it never occurs to me that further down is a mall until I needed an ATM, Someone said to go to the mall and I was shock like where ? Growing this mall was a sweet spot, eateries, a selection of stores and a cool arcade! As for today, this mall offers random stores, like 10 cell phone stores and 15 sneaker stores (ok like 3 cell phone stores and 4 sneaker stores). Nothing special at all about this mall. It is very ghetto at times, Popeyes has taken over with their smell of fried chicken and hope to not have spare change. The sound of spare change in your pocket will bring about the question "spare some change??" South Park Episode style. I do see the mall management/owners trying to make improvements with an addition of Super Cuts and the Marshalls adding a Home Goods section. Let's see what happens down the line. read more

I came here for lunch at Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet. The place was somewhat empty. It's like a dead mall, where its occupancy rate is low. There are several restaurants but the Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet is the buzziest. The place doesn't seem to be buzy. There are several areas without stores. What a funky place. Cool to wander through to get a deserted Jersey mall experience. Not that there's anything wrong with it being empty, kind of easier to shop in the stores that way. The anchor stores should connect internally with the rest of the mall. It just makes sense. To get from Staples to the concourse, I walked outside. Not very mall-y. I enjoyed wandering down the hallway leading to the bathrooms and administrative offices. So many past mall-events captured in photo, laid out in a timeline. Dreamy display of history. It's ok if you need to run into a certain store and come out like a corner store/bodega. This place is used mostly by local residents. It's convenient for those who live close by (including myself.) I went to AT&T in there and those people need a training in customer service. I made a reasonable request that they showed no common courtesy to their customer as other AT&T retailers would. The manager even confirmed herself that they are not a courteous store. I couldn't help but laugh in her face after she said it. I wish I had recorded it. Wow. Unprofessional. The Bath and Body works gets a lot of sales considering the closest one would be downtown Jersey City. There are some products they really don't keep stocked like certain lip balms such as "energy." The movie theater is a hot mess, but very cheap. The floors are ALWAYS sticky, and where they show the movie is very small. The nail salon is a git'er done and git'er out kind of place unlike the nail shop right across the street where they are very friendly, or like my fave nail salon in Bayonne where they give you massages (free) while or after getting your nails done. The sneaker stores like Footlocker hardly have the sizes you need. The stores outside of the "mall" don't even feel like part of the mall, so there isn't much to comment. The Old Navy is just as messy and busy as the rest I've been to. The rest of the stores are just as mediocre, but reasonable to visit in your neighborhood- just don't go out of your way to come for an outing at this mall. read more

This is the ghettoest mall ever. It's got the feeling of an abandoned ghost town. In the old Chris Rock standup, when he refers to the hood mall, this is what he was talking about. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because it's got a Marshalls, which has bomb deals on out of date clothes, which I'm fine with rocking. It's also got a Toys-R-Us, which is always fun to wander through. I used to play arcades here when I was growing up. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ARCADES!?!? It was replaced by some crappy furniture store the last time I went here. Most of the stores here are crap. I only went here because of 2 things the arcades and bootleg movies. Since both vanished overnight, this mall isn't worth going into. Well except for Popeye's, and that's about it. Hudson Mall was the only "mall" in Jersey City before Newport opened in downtown in 1987. Ever since then, the mall's been pretty deserted. They have a ton of sneaker stores, Foot Locker, Foot Action, Lady Foot Locker and others. I guess it's because it's in an urban environment. Some other national chains exist on the outside of the mall, 6th Ave Electronics, Old Navy and Staples. Half of the mall consists of little mom a pops. I never shopped in those. There is also a movie theatre that was recently renovated. $6 tickets all day. I'm a little afraid to see a movie there actually. Overall, one of the most boring malls I have ever been to. read more

Hudson Mall, poor Hudson mall.....this mall has gone through drastic ups and downs, they try to keep up with the ever evolving JC but some how always come up too late, I have not gone to this mall in almost three years, why, you ask? There is no reason (nothing I need/want from there) they have 4 yes, 4 sneaker stores that is affiliated what since does that make? Only anchor stores are now babies r us (yes they changed the name) and old navy, oh can't forget Lowe's, in which we have home depot in close proximity, hopefully they will get it together. My parents walked into store greeted by two females that were later laughing at my father's thick Spanish accent as he explained what was going on with his phone that would not charge. I sent my parents there to get new phones out of convenience. Since I am the account owner I needed to give access to my father. Unfortunately, the sales rep in conjunction with one of the managers (Wilson) were rude and short with my parents. When I spoke to "Wilson" he spoke loud over me and gave me little chance to speak until the very end but abruptly hung up on me. I felt terrible that my parents had to go through that there, so I sent them to Newport Mall so they could have a better experience in which they did get the help they needed. This was a terrible experience for my parents and I hope the right person sees this and makes some staff changes at that location. read more

Went to nobel eyeglasses and had an awful experience. They should just post a sign that says they only accept cash. They don't take checks. they charge a 2% fee for running a credit/debit cards and the amount needs to be over $30. Seriously who charges to run cards anymore and with such a huge minimum. Somebody needs to investigate this. I feel like its robbery. Terrible customer service and terrible rules. Stay away from here. read more
