Visited on a Sunday morning and had a great time. Not very busy. Nice funky layout. Very good house roasted coffee beans. Great service and enjoyed a ham-dried tomato-cucumber wrap. They have a full liquor and beer selection that looked tempting. Things to improve: the cappuccino I got had great flavor but subpar foam. And let's be honest, you get a cappuccino for the creamy thick bubbles. Guess the baristas don't specialize in espresso beverages. read more

This place is a Fort Wayne treasure! They roast all of their own coffee, that is also sold at the store ground or whole bean. They are hands down the purveyors of the finest coffee I have EVER HAD! My place of employment buys the coffee from here in bulk and our employees could not be happier with it! The sandwiches they offer are delicious, especially the Reuben! Old Crown also has a full bar with an astounding selection of fine bourbon and whiskeys, as well as hard ciders and craft beers! Found this place, loved it, I had the Rueben sandwich my wife had the Roasted Turkey Italianate wrap, both very well made. first time @ Old Crown after 18 months of working right across the street from them. I finally decided to give them a try....did not have their coffee but did try the spicy turkey w/pepper jack wrap and chowder. Both very delicious, good portions and loved the atmosphere. They have a great lunch menu. The wraps are good sized and tasty. Salad #2 is awesome. The atmosphere is great. Their baked goods need some work. The scones tend to be really dry. Coffee is pretty good too. I've always had friendly service. It's a great place to go if you need to do work as they have free wi-fi. read more

This place is great. Weather you want a tasty sazerac, or a cup of fresh ground, they have you covered. The wraps were great. Pinball machines fun. The only thing I'd change is the fact that there is one guy/girl on doing both coffee and alcohol. It got sort of backed up while I was there because of this. I absolutely love old crown. I have been going here off and on when I'm in the area for 18 years. They started off across the street in a place 1/4 of the size they are now. There are so many things I adore about this coffee shop. First the staff is so Friendly and knowledgeable. Then they roast their own beans and offer them in bulk to purchase for your home coffee maker. Next they have the clover. If you haven't had a clover coffee please order one the next time you visit. You will not be disappointed. There's the outdoor patio. Which In the summer is so great to sit out on and read the paper or a book and enjoy great coffee with amazing sun. Then they have the indoor seating area which there's a bar rail or tables. They have a small breakfast menu with a lunch and dinner menu with food that is prepared as you order it with local gardens and fresh bread and meats. They serve beer wine and liquor. They make their own craft cocktails that are amazing. They also sell loose leaf teas. Which I also love because I don't always drink coffee and most places just offer packaged teas. They are ok but loose leaf is just tasty. They also sell custom made shirts and mugs and other wares that have their logo printed on it somewhere. If you have not visited old crown then you are missing out. It's a great local shop with tons of friendliness and goodness inside. read more

We have eaten here many times, and once again, the food was unique and wonderful. Our seafood risotto was creamy and warm, and the Chimichurri Marinated & Grilled Tempeh was incredible. Loved the texture of the grilled tempeh, and the chimichurri was fresh and full of flavor. We finished with the warm and yummy bourbon bread pudding. We will definitely be back! The 9th degree coffee is some of the best I have had. However, the house brew is mediocre at best, so you can't just stop in for a quick 9th to go (at least not when I have been there). The bar has a great selection and reasonable prices, great atmosphere. read more

The Roast Beef & Baby Swiss, Roasted Turkey Italianate, Spicy Cajun Turkey & Yellow Cheddar, and Oven Roasted Turkey & Baby were all made to order using fresh ingredients. During both visits we couldn't stop raving about how good a simple wrap could be. Their potato chips are addictive. Nice atmosphere for the interior, however, I'm reticent on eating here as I've seen the chef/cook on separate occasions run his fingers through his hair and then proceeded to prepare food without washing his hands. Johnny cooks with lots of passion and energy. Definitely a millennials type bar. The service we received was less than adequate. Part of our party ordered an Old Fashion that was of the poorest quality, both in portion and taste. I was just disappointed because I was excited about introducing our friends to this North Anthony establishment. We left with a sour taste in our mouth and probably won't be back! We have been there twice and have thought about returning just to buy coffee beans but even decided against that. Interesting roasts but does anyone ever clean this place? Dusty light fixtures, dust and spider webs in the windows, dust falling from the ceiling and the food preparation area is even worse. Two tubs of Lysol wipes were sitting in thick dust on top of the ice machine, apparently hadn't been moved in some time. There were dirty utensils and piles of coffee grounds all over.
