We recently ordered hardwood floors from the store. The initial experience was good. They offered good price and the female sales was nice. However it turned into a nightmare since we found out that we forgot to order the matching molding. After we found that we needed the matching molding after we got the floors, we ordered it from them and we were told it would arrive after one week. Then we thought we would just wait for a week to start the project. One week later, we called them to check the status. Robert kept saying it would arrive in 1 or 2 days. We then waited a few more days based on the false information that it would arrive "soon". Finally on one day, we called them multiple times to ask what on earth was going on. We were then told by Robert that they "made a mistake" and the manufactory didn't have it now and if we still wanted it, it would take another 2 - 3 weeks minimum! I wonder If we hadn't pushed asking for status, god knows how long they would keep telling us it would arrive in 1 or 2 days. Maybe one piece of molding doesn't come with a big profit, but we spent lots of money in the store on the hardwood floors. They shouldn't have done business this way. Our project was delayed because of the incorrect information they had been keeping telling us. During the whole process, we needed to call again and again and again to check on the status. And the worse part is they kept giving false information until we "harassed" them by multiple calls to ask for status after waiting for almost 2 weeks. We were planning to recommend the store to our friends who are also planning to do remodeling. Now we would tell them to avoid the store. read more

Great selection and great service! The guys were extremely friendly and helpful! Thank youuuu!!

For those looking for wood flooring or any floor covering, check out Robert and his uncle at 101 Floors. After shopping around at a few nearby stores, I was reluctant to make any purchase with just not knowing if I was getting the best deal. But when I came across Robert and 101 Floors, I made purchase on the spot, found what I was looking for at big savings. And to make my purchase even more worth the while, Robert offered to deliver my order the next day at no extra cost. So try these guys, you won't be disappointed. read more

Bought Brazilian Cherry Solid Wood for my new home. I shopped around for several weeks, found their price the most competitive. They also delivered for free. This saved me quite a bit! I bought 1300-sqft, or 69 cases, 64 lbs each! The brand is Elegance. I opened one case, the wood seems very nice. I'll update later after my contractor finishes installation. Both Jose and Robert are easy to work with and knowledgeable. read more

We were hesitant to place our business with Old Floor. Very rustic looking store. But they had the best prices in town for the Urban Floor engineered wood. So we decided to take a chance, and I'm glad we did. We got a great product, excellent price and the floor came in as promised (3-4 days). My only "complaint" is that they don't deliver. With many DIY homeowners, this is greatly needed. The floor was installed last week and it looks amazing. Very happy with the choice. read more

It has been little over a month that I moved to Bay Area from Mid West. Combination of big move and renovation can drive one to insanity. In the midst of all of this after a long search I have come across this company to do the flooring for me. In every family discussion I was told it would take about 10 days from start to finish! These guys displayed such a professionalism and workmanship, topped with starting 7:00AM to 8:00PM, unbelievably, they finished in three days. Even though I lost a $100.00 bit, but if there were more stars, I would have given them more. I bought the wood from them too. It is breathtaking. p.s: my current zip is San Jose 95127, my Yelp account has not been updated. read more

I had purchased some engineered wood in the past which was overall a pleasant experience. I made a return visit because I needed some more wood and transition pieces. I reluctantly paid the freight charge and got another box and a quarter round piece which one guys assured me that it would come before they close down for Christmas vacation. I purchased on 12/9 and was hoping to get it by 12/15 before they close down on 12/19. I came in to pick up my pieces only to find out that they didn't have the quarter round ready. Robert the guy that helped me said he would call me back later to update me which he never did. I called them before they went on their break and was told it wasn't there. I called a few more times and left some messages but none were replied. I decided to wait out and come after the new year. I came after the new year and the office was still closed. I waited a few more days and called back and they told me the pieces were available. I told Robert I no longer need the quarter round and wanted a refund and he said ok. I came to pick up the box today and said I needed a refund for the quarter round which to me wasn't much. Robert told me he doesn't know how much it costs and told me to wait for his brother who would know the price I paid. At this point I got really upset with how things are going. The pieces I have are a month late and now I have to wait some more to get my refund processed! Makes no sense to me. I got into a little argument with Robert and he told me do I want $20 for a piece I clearly paid $60 for. I finally pulled up my transaction and showed him how much I paid but he just said your part was here before the new year. At no time did the show any hint of them screwing up my order during the entire experience. Finally his brother came and they agreed to issue me my refund via check! In the end he offered me he piece for free assuming I wanted it for free. I respectfully declined and left. I definitely won't be coming back and caution anyone who wants me o come there. Not very good with deadlines and extremely unprofessional. read more

I recently purchased engineered floors from All Flloors. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and Robert's recommendation. Don't be deceived by the store's shabby appearance. They have pretty good collection and the price is very reasonable. I'd definitely use this store again. read more

Old Floors - Love how the color of our flooring came out. - Flooring Near Me - San Jose, California

We returned to the same place to buy stair nose. This time Robert did not seem to want our business at all. First he quoted $75/piece. Then $55. Then we told him we got a $45 price next door, and he lowered his price to match it. You wonder what is h is margin. OK, so he had stock and offered to sell us all the needed stair nose for $45 a piece. We started to color match out of his dust pile. All stair nose was overlap, but we did not know any better. After matching about 10 pieces, we found a beautiful, flush piece with perfect fit. It was just a short sample, less than 2". We asked Roberto if he could get similar stair nose for us. No. Could he give us the sample we found to look elsewhere for a similar one? No. Could he SELL us the sample? No. Could he tell us where he got it from? No. Roberto wanted so much to sell his stock that he forgot what customer service meant. We'll surely not recommend him anymore. read more

I ordered 651 sq ft Red Oak hardwood floor on 3/27 Thursday. Roberto Dorantes told us the return policy is " return within 30 days with unopened box and pay 30% restocking charges". He said he could deliver next Monday or Tuesday. End up they postpone few times and delivered on 4/10. More than a week late! Those hardwood floor is not good as the sample that he showed to us. Quality is fair only. 4/29 we return 9 unopened boxes to them. Roberto refused to take it back even we willing to pay 30% restocking charges as the return policy stated on invoice. He said that is special order, so no return. Actually he is liar. He didn't mention those are special order and even not mark on invoice. We said we will file complaint to BBB. He said go ahead and refuse to talk any more. So we file complaint and let other people know how they are!! 30% restocking charge already so high; but they still not satisfy!! They seems nice and easy to work with when you buy. But change to hard face if they think they can't make money from you. Don't buy from them save your time, money and headache!! read more

We had Brazilian hardwood floor installed in March 2015. We bought the material from this store. The Owner, Roberto gave us good deal with materiel and installation price. He was very helpful since we wanted to get the hardwood floor installed after a month time after the delivery. He also had his people came and installed it over. I liked the proficient and professional work of his installing team, too. Sharing some pics: read more

These guys are con artists encouraging customers to over-purchase under the pretense of accepting returns. Please beware of the sweet talking sales people who will do anything to sell you the wood. Once you try to return the unused materials they will play the game of switching salesmen on you and eventually will bring in the owner who will claim a "policy change" as an excuse for not accepting refunds. Stay away would be my honest recommendation read more

Robert's team turned our house into a showroom. We bought hardwood floors and installation from Old Floors. Here are a few of the superior attributes that I personally experienced with this company: 1. This company gives you by far the best price for flooring and installation in the South Bay Area. No other company could match their pricing. 2. You just can't beat the advantages of working directly with the owner (Robert). This is one of the major benefits of working with a smaller company. Not only that, but Robert "stands behind his products and workmanship." He told me that he will gladly come back and address any issue that we may have or notice in the future at no charge. He is very dedicated to customer satisfaction which is his businesses lifeline! 3. Working with a company that has two decades of installation and industry experience. Example: Robert suggested changes that we had not considered and was very creative in getting around issues with the installation of flooring around our stair railings (see pictures below). 4. Extensive selection of hardwood floors and laminates to choose from. Robert runs a family business that he is very proud of and goes out of his way to please each and every customer. In summary, I would highly recommend Old Floors for your residential or business flooring needs. read more

Roberto helped us out with our engineered hardwood floor. We ordered over 2,000 sqft of high quality European oak at an unbelievably great deal. We also ordered sound dampening mats to go under it. All was shipped to our house. Hardwood floors had no defects and Roberto was extremely friendly. We shopped around at about 10 other stores, you're not going to find cheaper. Roberto has it all and if he can't get it, he'll make it! Highly recommended! read more

I must admit I was a little hesitant at first to visit the 101 Floors facility since I received the flyer outside of their competitors business. However the fantastic smile and great personality of the young man distributing the flyers won us over. Since stepping into Robert Durante's business and shopping for a major project and upgrade to our recently purchased home in Morgan Hill, we could not have asked for better product or service . We purchased 2000+ ft of Maple flooring, special insulation, baseboards and all labor to include tear-out, installation, clean-up. Not only did Robert make sure he kept us abreast of all material deliveries, a small delay, and estimated time frames, the professionalism of his work team was fantastic, not to mention is very fair prices! Shortly after installation we encountered an electrical issue and thought perhaps it may have had to do with an outlet in the newly installed floor. I called Robert to discuss what we were experiencing. Robert and his team were amazingly quick to respond and remedy the situation - even though it ended up not being their problem. I would highly recommend this flooring company and team to my closest friends, colleagues and neighbors. Excellent job Robert and Team. Your new found friends, Tio Tony and Deb read more

They did a great job in my removing carpet from the stairs and all the bedrooms and putting in matched hardwood. The stairs was a difficult job because there were curved stairs. They did the flooring in about a week for around 1100 sqft. Carmelo and Maclovio did an amazing job and very professional. They made sure to do the bedrooms in the order I wanted as we had a baby living in the house and they accommodated and worked with our needs. Glad I went with them for my hardwood floor remodel. I won't hesisitate to go back to them in the future for any other service that they offer. read more

Net: 4 stars 10/25 If you have All Floors and Cabinets install - Make sure you get Ricardo. 5 Stars for Ricardo's installation work. 4 Stars for going beyond by sending over a great installer (after talking with my Contractor) 3 Stars for deciding to make it right by delivering 2 Stars initially 10/25 4:00PM Ricardo, mentioned that he has been installing floors for about 12 years, and it shows. He took the lead of installing the floors and he was especially conscientious and meticulous when it came to installing at the door trim and doorway. I did not want to have reducers or caps, since the floor was level with my hardwood floors and so he and the contractor's team made sure the bamboo was level and flush up against the existing hardwood floors. 10/25 10AM Saturday my Contractor's workers arrived at 8:30AM and started at 9:00AM, Roberto arrived at about 10:00AM to drop off Ricardo. 10/24 Friday The correct color of floors arrived, delivered personally by Roberto (owner) and his nephew, Ricardo. 10/23 They say they want to make things "right" and will be sending one of their install guys over, since this is impacting my Contractor too. 10/23 4:30 PM Their supplier sent wrong color - I had to go to the show room and to show them their sample I ordered from and the piece they gave my Contractor were different colors. Supposed to re-deliver correct color on Friday. 10/22 Current status - hoping to upgrade stars 10/22 4:00 PM-ish Had to send flooring back - Boxes arrived damaged. No estimate of ETA for next set of floor delivery. The delivery guys said that's the way the boxes arrived. (My Contractor has put in floors before hand and sent them back, noting to me that when a couple boxes arrive damaged, 99% of the time there is more damage with the rest of the shipment) 2:45 PM-ish All Floors decided to deliver, 2:03 PM Roberto has not called me back... 11:04 AM Now they say they will not Honor their word, per my contractor who just spoke with their receptionist: - Delivery to my house, per the Ship To address on their invoice this past Thurs of 10/18 10/22 10:56 AM Roberto said he will call me back in one hour, after speaking with the truck driver, regarding delivery times to my house: It's coming from LA, but first the shipment has to go to their store. - This contradicts his statement on 10/18 that it was coming from Pleasanton (my Contractor confirms this) 10/18 I went to this store (also listed as All Floors for Less) - recommended to my Contractor. Roberto was nice and helped us with locating a the bamboo flooring that would meet my needs. And agreed to have the floors delivered to my home (to cut down on delivery time) by Monday, since they wouldn't make it on Friday the next day, even leaving from Pleasanton. read more

Was sold product but got switch with fake product and Roberto told me too bad you signed and paid me already!!!!!

Super slow, they would promise you some date and try to delay it. If you want to keep track of your schedule, you need to call them again and again. Try to avoid it, if you have hard deadline to get something done. Be careful of your bill, it may not be the same as they told you. Always check. If they say free baseboard, it may turns out no such item included at all. You are lucky if you can reach them by phone, the sales rep may refuse to answer your phone at all. read more

Avoid this supplier. Pulled a scam with my handiman. Supposedly ordered the flooring we wanted to be shipped up from LA to SJ. Required cash payment in advance, of course. Flooring failed to arrive on Monday, Tuesday (the committed delivery date), Wednesday, then on Thurday they delivered a different floor from stock they already had (and we had rejected). Our (now ex-)handiman (dba "Ambrosio") installed the wrong floor, returned the excess, destroyed all the boxes and paperwork. Both he and the the supplier are now insisting the mix-up is our fault. We are out $5K with no further recourse and no warranty! read more

Roberto was a pleasure to work with. He came out twice to measure and ensure the new pre-treated hardwood floors matched the existing older wood floors. The 2 installers were very punctual, efficient and did a great job. I have to add that they committed to a very tight schedule and delivered on time. They were doing such a great job and floors looked so great that we decided to add hardwood floor to the 3 bedrooms (in addition to the hallway and one room we had decided to put wood floors). So this totally changed the work load and yet they committed to the same time frame. This implied they had to come out on a saturday and they did it no questions asked, and gladly. Totally recommend Roberto and his team for any project. read more

We just had Old Floors install the hardwood floors for our entire house. Robert's team did a fantastic job. A large area of the original flooring was overlaid with tile. I'm a property manager responsible for over 200 properties and depend on Yelp to find the best of the best contractors. As I started my own remodel it was especially important! Old Floors and Robert Dorantes absolutely fill that description! I happen upon Robert after visiting a nearby competitor. The competitor wanted a deposit for a very small sample. Robert not only gave me 3 large floor sections to take home but wanted no deposit, no name, and told me to keep them as long as I needed! After several days I returned with my choice, he gave me a quote, only to find out the sample was incorrectly labeled 'engineered', when it fact, it was solid wood. The price would have been much higher but Robert quickly said he would honor the quote without me even asking! I paid for the flooring, it arrived at his shop, but now I wasn't ready, in fact it was about 3 months latter that I still was not ready and I started to worry about my investment, called to ask if I could have my flooring brought to my house, and he did so the next day! Another month passed before I was ready. I called Old Floors on a Friday and they installed my floors the following week. His employees were the hardest workers and they did a beautiful job. But it gets better! He made for me by hand at his shop items I did not pay for, two door thresholds, a 5' step, and a beautiful floor register (I had bought some cheap metal ones at Home Depot) that matched my wood! Throughout the process I called a few times with questions and he always answered everyone, even gave me his cell phone to be sure I got a hold of him! He was patient, respectful, accommodating, hard working and fulfilled the job as promised! I highly recommend Robert and Old Floors. Be sure to look for his address because for awhile his name was not up on the building. read more
