Why because i don't want everyone to go here and either buy, everything up or they raise there prices cause of supply and demand. Do not use these people. I gave them a detailed plan and the build was completely different. They decided to remove drawers from under my cooktop, move the dishwasher, remove my mixer cabinet, and remove all shelves and spinners from corner units. They also made the cabinets with face frames and then broke two of them and had one of the corner units with a 8" opening, The never provided the panels for the dishwasher and the fridge and the entire kitchen was in cherry not maple. I gave them a tile to match color for the hall bath (not even close) never repainted, again no drawers (per detailed drawings). The hall closet was supposed to be one large opening to store vacume came as 2 and the master bath has same problems. These are also cherry not maple. They walked off the job not complete read more

I spent a lot of time shopping around for Kitchen cabinets for a complete kitchen remodel. The cabinets at KWW are comparable to the ones you can buy thru Home Depot's service, or thru some of the on-line sellers, but at a fraction of the price. I would call them builder grade, but once they are up and installed no one will know the difference and they look great. Regarding the customer service: do your homework, have a plan drawn out, so that you have a good idea of what you are looking for. Then be prepared to be patient if you go in and others are being served ahead of you. When it is your turn you're going to want their undivided attention so that you are sure of what you are getting. I mean, they never were warm and fuzzy, but you could have a conversation and do business. I think if you are prepared to buy your whole job from them, they will talk to you. So here's the detailed scoop for those of you who are "just looking". Kww is fantastic if you have a budget of 3-4k, BUT you get a choice of 3 different finishes ( i.e. you want white, you can count on painting them). From what we could see your choice was a brighter red cherry color, dark walnut, and regular old maple. They have shaker style, raised panel, and some ornately decorated door style. Don't bother coming with out mesurements, unless you want to check out the colors. They do have a handy little spec sheet of measurements ( our contractor helped us figure out ours). I'm a little disappointed in the sizing for some cabinets. There were no tall wall oven cabinets with microwave inserts, but I suppose you could make your own some how. There are ONLY single oven cabinets, so if you have double wall oven, you have to figure it out once again. The plate display cabinet only comes in a 30 in. size. I would say these cabinets are quality for the buck you are spending, but keep in mind you get what you pay for. If you want to go cheap here, and spend some dough on cabinet organizers, you can get the custom look those overpriced design stores show you. Now onto granite. EXTREMELY cheap ( dollar wise). See my review of Jerong Marble and Granite if you want a comparison. Range is from $60-$220 ish per slab ( 26x 96 I think). I found two slabs I like, and if we decide to get our cabinets from here we will also buy the granite, since they give you roughly about $20 off if you are buying cabinets too. Bathroom vanities are the same as the cabinets, so see above. Sinks are available, but you only get a few options once again. I only saw one single basin, and I don't know what the gauge was, but it was very inexpensive. Overall I would say a quality place, but come prepared. Go during the week, and be ready to fight for a seat with all the slum lords that are in there buying the cheapest oak cabinets they can find (obviously I wouldn't recommend the oak, it's terrible looking). If you have a plan, and a tight budget, this can be your one stop shop, just be ready to be flexible on styles, colors, etc. Will post update if we decide to buy from KWW. UPDATE: 05/11/2010 So this update is looonnnggg overdue. I'll post some pictures as well. We decided to go with KWW because A. they were the best priced B. they have a super generous return policy, and C. they were the best priced (yes that's an intended repeat). So the deal is really the same as I posted above. Three different styles of cabinets depending on your fancy, with a choice of three different colors. I think that these cabinets are sold at many "kitchen and bath" warehouses in the Bay Area, and a quick search on Craigslist confirms that. KWW is one of the best in the area. They have a great return policy, i.e. they took back a cabinet that I had ordered, even though it was my fault for ordering the wrong size. Dovetail construction with soft close drawers, which any messy and "in-a-hurry" homeowner will appreciate. When I was there back in Jan 2010, they seemed like they were closing out their granite slab line, but there are a million places to choose from in that part of San Jose, so don't be too disappointed. I do have to say that there are some minor flaws with these cabinets, but one should not expect absolute perfection at this price. Be sure to THOROUGHLY, really I mean THOROUGHLY inspect each and every single cabinet before you put it in your truck. Look for nicks, scratches, uneven shelves, cracked glass, and improper construction. They gladly replace whichever item you are unhappy with, but don't try to take a cabinet door back after you've gotten it home and realized there was a scratch. While they took back my mistake-order cabinet, I cannot say they would have taken back anything that had minor flaws. Also these cabinets will off-gas for about a month or so, so I highly recommend taking off doors/drawers as soon as you get home, and leaving them off until a few days after the install (usually essential for a countertop install anyway). They almost smell like formaldehyde, and it's unpleasant to open you dry goods cabinet only to have this smell waft in your face. So here I sit, almost four months later, and I'm THRILLED with the deal that I got at KWW, and the quality (only by inspecting all pieces of course). I finally have a kitchen that belongs to me, and not the people who lived there before me, and I seriously would not have been able to remodel if I hadn't found KWW. read more

I think this is a really interesting option for kitchen or bathroom remodeling if you have what I would characterize as standard design preferences and are looking for pieces slightly better than builder grade. Don't come here if: You want free-standing or furniture-style cabinetry You want cabinetry you can paint yourself You want a non-standard sized cabinet (unless you are happy with filler pieces) You want a non-standard drawer box (i.e. a U-shaped drawer box for a sink basin) You want cabinetry with one open bottom shelf Do come here if: You value your money over your time You like white, cream or wood cabinetry You like the built-in look You are looking for a steal on granite or quartz countertops You are not that picky about the size of your sink (they only have oval or rectangle) You can put a deposit on door faces, take them home and try them out. The deposit is $20 per door and it is refundable upon return. We haven't bought anything here - we keep thinking, "maybe we can make this work" but in the end I'm just too picky - dang furniture feet, open cabinetry preferences. They do have average to good quality cabinetry though, at a price that is well below anything you'll find at Home Depot. Bring a jacket; their shop is FREEZING and the wait is always long. read more

While trying to get answers from Jen, the lady who runs the business in the front, of a very simple question regarding some of the materials recently purchased. She would give me unclear answers and told me to "Stop bitching". I spent a little over $6,000.00 in this store with cabinets and rock tile for two units. When I received my order some of the parts were incorrect and did not fit the unit, (according to other Yelp review this is a common problem with this store),So I went back to asked her questions about the order and to return the incorrect items. And for her to tell me to "Stop bitching" is really unprofessional, rude and simply unacceptable. I told her not to use that language with me and she continued calling me a "bitch" and to "stop bitching". Im in my 20's and she's around her late 40's and at no given point while facing her did I disrespect her or used bad language while speaking to her. While acting like the older person and ignoring her bad behavior, I somehow manage to keep my cool, because I just wanted my problem to be solved. At the end I did not get my questions answered and just returned the wrong items. After that she completely ignored my other questions, giving me her back and walking away. I would completely return EVERYTHING if I could, but since I already installed some of the cabinets in my house it is not returnable. On top of all this, she also does not know how to speak with people on the phone. While waiting for my problem to be fixed she answered a phone call, of a customer I assume, and she started arguing and just gave the phone to another worker to continue on. Her customer services completely SUCKS. As a sells person she needs to know how to answer all questions customers have and solve problems with out making it difficult for herself and customers. She has to work with her attitude, language with customers, organization and of course CUSTOMER SERVICE. Not to mention, she treat her workers very bad and yells as if they are slaves and not workers. This Jen lady is just terrible and I will not return or recommend this place. The cabinets we bought were the shaker style in a mocha color. They are of dovetail construction and solid wood. The wood is from China, but they are built in their back wearhouse right before you come to get them. If you buy granite from them you will get a discount also. For the price these cabinets are absolutely amazing! We just installed them ourselves this past weekend and I have gotten a ton of compliments from friends that were helping with the remodel/ coming to visit. They look much more expensive than they were. Just be sure to double check there are not scratches/pieces missing etc. They won't let you come back and deal with it later because there is no telling if they did it, or if you did after you pick them up (totally understandable). We were missing a shelf and one of the doors was scratched but they replaced it for us since we noticed while we were there. They will not hold your hand here (but are still helpful). You can walk around and not be helped at all (which I thought was nice, because I HATE pushy sales people). They gave us a sheet with some of their cabinet measurements and we took it home with us, measured and designed our kitchen, and brought back drawings of our new set up to actually order the cabinets. They guy helping us didn't speak English well but he was nice and we were still able to communicate effectively. He made suggestions on extras that we had questions about, like how many trim pieces we would need. He also let us know about some cabinets they didn't have on the sheet they originally gave us (such as a thinner width cabinets one you could use for spices, and an off the countertop microwave shelf/cabinet, and a deeper cabinet that goes over the fridge). According to other posts they seem to get quite a line going on. We arrived first thing Saturday morning right when they opened to order our cabinets. They were a little late opening, but there was no one there for the first 15-20 minutes so it was worth waiting outside for 5-10 minutes before someone opened the store. When we picked up the cabinets we went first thing again and got them loaded up quickly (didn't have to wait like other reviewers). This may have been a fluke, but when we go back to buy pulls I'm going to get there when they open again to avoid the wait. read more

We didn't have a large budget so i priced around for cabinets and KWW was by far the cheapest. The reviews said customer service was horrible, that was definately not my experience. Jen (the owner) was extremely helpful and patient, especially considering I didn't bring my contractor with me to order cabinets. If you need to remodel your kitchen, definitely come by to check out this place. It might take a bit of waiting in line until you get helped, but after that you get their full attention and it is worth the wait!!! Pros: EXCELLENT prices, good quality, many styles to choose from, helpful and knowledgeable staff. And did I say AMAZING prices?!! Expect to pay as low as $2k-3k for a kitchen, in maple, even in cherry, just slightly more for even higher quality wood. We payed only $3.3k for a wonderful spicy walnut kitchen, which turned out even nicer than the display one! We are SO HAPPY with it! Kai was a pleasure to deal with, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. Communication with him was great, too. They have tons of customers, so they are very experienced in planing and can help you with ideas that you can trust. You need to bring in the exact measurements of your kitchen, because they do not come to your house to measure the space. The kitchen is ready within 5-6 business days. They order the cabinets and then build them in their warehouse. They give you a courtesy call to let you know when the kitchen is ready for pick up. The drawers come with soft-closing included in the price (a major plus!) and their corner cabinets come with Lazy Susan. We also bought the granite slabs from them, they have a huge selection and good prices. The price gets even lower if you buy your cabinets from them. We bought the bathroom vanity here, too, because they have unbeatable prices and Kai was nice and found a solution that worked for us. As an advice for the business, I think you should put signs on the items that are out of stock or discontinued, so that people know when they browse around and make plans accordingly, without the need to wait in line to ask you about it. A few months ago we had our kitchen done, on a very low budget and very little time. Kai was such a pleasant person to work with. Even though we had a few adjustments to make, and had to return a door that had a scratch, Kai organised everything, and always returned all calls promptly. We chose the dark cabinets, with a wonderful white quartz, and needless to say it turned out BEAUTIFULLY. And just call before sending out your contractor to pick up your cabinets, just to be sure you don't have to wait. I called on the day that we wanted to pick up, and they gave me a time by which they would be ready. Know the name of the person dealing with your order so that you don't have to explain your story to different people., If you have really good taste, but very little money, you won't be disappointed! The only reason why I deducted a star is because they don't have everything in stock. We had to wait some additional weeks for one of the cabinets. I made eye contact with the starer, she looked away and back to the monitor. I waited in front the counter for 5 minutes. No word...nothing ask if I needed anything. My second visit there was one lady at the counter. She finished helping a customer. She saw me standing, waiting at the counter. Great price! OK quality... lousy service. Would recommend to owners and contractors who are looking for decent quality at a great price... would not buy these for a dream home. Would say the quality is just above off the shelf product at home improvement centers. KWW offers coushined drawer glides (with many plastic components) and a plywood box (only 1/2" thick and very low grade ply, noticed some of the lawyers were separating on one unit..so I took it back). Was most dissipointed that only 4 plastic cams hold each unit together (for both wall and base units). Each unit is packaged in China as a kit, that is assembled in the back room, like ikea furniture. If price is your limitation on your project, this is an option I would recomend. If you are looking to buy something that will last longer than 10rys would recomend looking elsewhere. If you decide to go this route, go into KWW knowing the most competent person working there is the person behind the counter. There will be a line of people, you will have to wait. And no one in the back will want to help you or will care about your order... and plan on going back at least once for water they were out of stock on, or whatever they forgot to assemble for you. read more

Just got the cabinets for the bathroom. I am 100% positive that no one beats there price and quality is good. Some say their quality is not that great. But, I didn't found any issues with their materials or the assembly. Even being a Chinese store the front desk person is very responsive and understood my needs very well. That also implies that if they are busy, you might have to wait for a long time. I wish there are more sales folks during busy hours so that we don't have to wait there for long! Kai goes above and beyond to be helpful. This is a great place to get good cabinets inexpensively if you are willing to do some of the work yourself. We just remodeled a kitchen and two baths using the espresso cabinets and with the custom mosaic backsplash, they look like a million bucks. This is a no frills place, though. You'll need to find your own transportation to get the cabinets to your work site. Other than that, though, Kai helped figure out which cabinets were needed and he was very helpful anytime something needed to be changed. They were ready on the day they were promised.
