Love this place! It's an older farm property with a long driveway so watch for the little sign. Follow the driveway then left to the parking lot. Clean, comfortable place, GREAT pizza (with Grande cheese), great salads and sausages, excellent craft beers (get a flight with as many of the small size pours as you can, we had eight), good ciders too. This place is T H E B E S T. First off, where it's located is pretty much in the middle of no where (which is awesome). The barn is beautiful. Inside, there's lots of seating including the bar top, where you can sit and watch all the action take place (thanks to their open concept kitchen). Outside, they also have seating available. The outdoor seating is covered, making it very convenient if the weather doesn't cooperate. The people that work their are so friendly & personable. The owner runs around helping out wherever he can, which is great to see. They have an awesome selection of craft beer and also offer wine. I've truly only been there for the pizza (and we had pretzel bites for an app which were great) but the sausage plates also look delicious. Such a fun time!! Tonight was our first time at Old Germantown and it did not disappoint! We opted red the Apple Butter Brie appetizer and it was delicious. We also split one of their many wood-fired pizzas and it was out of this world. Scott (owner) was also gracious enough to let us try their own poutine with pork that came right of the smoker. It would be tough to have a more relaxing time than a couple of mid-afternoon hours with friends in the old barn patio of Old Germantown. The original whitewashed barn stone walls of the patio were accented with numerous flower baskets and plantings. My wife and I were there with another couple to enjoy a couple of craft beers and some food. I'm an IPA fan. Old Germantown's hazy IPA was quite good. Other's had a Weiss beer with lemon (a great summer beverage) and Marzen type beers. The four of us shared a 5 piece Sausage Sampler Platter. Our sausage platter had fresh Hungarian, Polish, Slovenian, Italian, and a smoked Hungarian. Cut to share the flavors of each sausage were distinct and excellent. To my liking the fresh Hungarian a spicy bite to it, and the Polish may have been the best fresh Polish I've ever eaten. The herbs and spices came through on each sausage. Each and every staff person at Old Germantown was cordial. We are already planning a return to Old Germantown to sample the brick oven pizza. read more

I would have given a five star rating for the food, but I knocked off one star because of pot holes in the driveway to the restaurant. My wife and I have had lunch at the restaurant a number times and each time I expected to see the pot holes filled with gravel. But as of Jan. 7, 2023 the pot hole problem has still not been resolved. Expecting customers to avoid pot holes is very disrespectful, so PLEASE FIX THE POT HOLES. read more

This place is very cute, and the quality of food was not the problem. The sign that said a 60 minute wait for pizza was the problem. We arrived at 5:20 on a Friday, and were not in a hurry, so an hour wait was not a big deal for us to sit outside on the nice patio and enjoy a couple of beers. However, after over 2 hours & 15 minutes... and no sign of a pizza, we had to find our server to speak with the cooking staff in order to get our pizza made and put into a to-go box. While both employees we talked to were very kind and apologetic as we left the establishment, a bit of up front honesty about the rehearsal dinner they were hosting, and some rethinking of the business model, seem to be a bit of a necessity with volume of business they attract. Wishing them the best, but it will be a while before we think of returning. read more

What a great night out! Such a hidden gem; look for the old red wagon as your landmark to turn down the long drive. Basically a pole barn in a cornfield with welcoming rustic interior decor. A big tap beer list and several wines all served in uniquely shaped canning jars. Pretzel bite and sausage platter shareables were a hit - especially the Greek sausage. We ordered several pizzas and enjoyed them all - from very traditional pepperoni to more diverse charcuterie pizza. Wood fired with delicious bubbly and slightly charred crust. Only drawback - they close at 8pm. Call ahead as they do accept reservations! Very friendly staff. Worth the trip out into the countryside. Hard to find, but worth finding! The jalapeño pepper jelly was amazing. It was in a red barn, but had a German style feel to the place with the long tables where you might be seated next to another group! I had the charcuterie pizza and a nice salad - big enough to share with my daughter. Friendly service and a great stop! I'm torn. The pizza wasn't what I really wanted but it did taste good. It mainly resembles a pizza I might make from scratch, from dough I made and rolled out fresh. We agree it is hidden but so very glad we got there. The owners are fantastic and we discovered that we know their brother via hunting connections. What a small world! The food was outstanding. We had hot pretzel bites with a yummy mustard sauce, a sausage platter with 3 selections, crispy fries, 2 pizzas. The mushroom pizza with fresh arugula on top was superb - both were. They hand make the crust and fire them in a huge state of the art oven. I could go on and on. We will be back for sure.
