I couldn't find a picture or listing of Kenicky's full menu anywhere online so I called to place an order after seeing a social media post where a few people said they have the best wings around. I was told that the minimum order for wings was 6 and that they were $1 each. After hearing the list of sauces/rubs, I ordered a basket (includes fries) with 6 honey BBQ and 6 jerk dry rub. I also ordered a plain cheeseburger that came with fries. Overall the wings were a letdown. A couple were tinier than I would have expected and not at all worth $1 each. The jerk dry rub had no heat to it and the flavor of the honey BBQ sauce was weak. Even on Wednesdays when Kenicky's wings are $0.75 each that's a terrible value. I'd rather go to Joe Mama's in Colgate and get their wings, which are far superior. The cheeseburger had good flavor, even though it was cooked more well done than the medium I asked for. I hate crinkle fries and would have gladly substituted for tater tots (supposedly a $1 up-charge) had I known that's the fries they serve. The fries were bland and not very crispy, which is par for the course when it comes to crinkle fries. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to the receipt until well after I left and I started to upload my pictures because it looks like I was overcharged. The menu says the 12 piece wing basket is $11.50 but I was charged $12 for the wings and an additional $1.50 for the fries. If the basket is actually $13.50 the menu should reflect that, otherwise you're being dishonest and stealing from unsuspecting customers. read more

I've been a fan of their wings for several years. Large....flash fried...then sauced...then grilled up to finish the cook....then rescued to serve. Great flavors. They have a nice LARGE grilled chicken salad that I find myself ordering quite often. Great thin crust pizza and have a personal sized cauliflower crust option too. read more

I ordered a fish fry from this place EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. of Covid shutdown. The fish fry was hot, fresh and crispy for each pick up. Me loves consistency! The staff was always very friendly and compliant with the current state of affairs of Covid. Clean. Distanced. etc. Awesome. THEN the last time I went, the week that everything "opened", ALL safety measures were out the door. No masks. Pen sharing. Full open bar. Look. I get it, we need to open back up, BUT maybe we take a few measures to be more responsible. Anywho - interior was also renovated during the great pause and it looks really nice. Glad they were able to use this downtime to freshen up the place. I'll for sure be going back. This place is a staple and I'm glad to see them busy again, but I'll wait a bit to dine in. read more

Fish & Old Fashionds We've been here several times over the last 6 months. I love their Fish Fry (cod). But my very favorite is their $5 hand-muddled old fashioneds! They even come with a cinnamon stick. Yum. The place is small but worth trying. Waitstaff is super friendly. Skip the potato pancakes though. read more

I live very close to Kenicky's and was in the bar one time before it was Kenicky's... and it was so scary I vowed never to go back :-P However, when it was reopened as Kenicky's, it appeared like some renovations might've been done and I was seeing more cars there than usually, so I tried it. The owner is very friendly and the inside does appear to have been renovated somewhat since the last time I was there. It's a small building, so seating can be limited, especially if they have musical entertainment. As stated in a previous review, the pizza is surprisingly good! My wife and I are "pizza snobs" and have visited nearly every pizza joint within a 10 mile radius of our house and are almost always disappointed... but not so with Kenicky's. We ordered a thin crust vegetable pizza and I ate almost the whole thing by myself (doh!) A friend ordered a Reuben sandwich which was also pretty good. Kenicky's is now my go-to place for when my wife isn't home to cook and I want a good pizza and don't want to drive far. I wouldn't likely drive miles out of my way to go there, but if you're in the area, are looking for a beer and some decent food, and don't mind hanging with the Richfield locals, stop on in! read more

This review reflects the overall experience. If the review was just on the quality of the food, Kenicky's would receive five stars. My wife and I split a 16" pizza. It was a very tasty thin crust. It was one of the best pizzas I have had recently. Ever the glutton, I also had a pulled pork sandwich with fries. The sandwich was on a fresh brioche bun and the meat was moist and tasty. The fries were large and crisp. I received plenty of them. I had several unsweetened ice teas. They were a little heavy on the ice requiring several refills. Most of their soft drinks are Coke products. I inquired about the cheesecake. The waitress was not sure if it was around $4 or around $6. After checking it was $5.95. The waitress admitted the cheesecake slices were not very robust and were not homemade. Appreciate the honesty. When we received the bill we were charged $1.50 each for toppings of sausage, mushrooms, onions, green pepper , pepperoni and pineapple. $1.50 for onion? Note all of the toppings were used on only half the pizza. On checking the menu, the price was $1.75 for each topping if used on a full pizza. This suggests they only give a 25 cent discount for using a topping on half a pizza. I inquired about this and the unsatisfactory explanation is that that is the way it is programmed into the computer and there is nothing they could do about it. May be a deal breaker as it pertains to our return to Kenicky's. read more

Easily the best pizza north of the Mason Dixon line! The breaded cod was hot, flaky, and delicious. I tried my hubby's pan fried walleye and almost soiled myself, it was that delicious!!!! Such a cute little place nestled between Richfield & Slinger! They've got great food, friendly staff and affordable drinks! It's a fun place to hang out. There's a lot of regulars. You can stop in, by yourself, on a Friday night, and the locals seem to make you feel like one of the regulars. It's a 'corner bar' atmosphere, out in the sticks. Try the pizza! I did. So good! They serve a 16" pizza, so there's plenty to share. The sauce is homemade, and they load it with toppings. I've heard great things about the wings. I haven't tried them yet, but several people, at the bar, were ordering them left and right. So, I assume, they must be good! They've got lots of sauces to choose from: bbq, medium, hot, teriyaki, jerk, sriracha bbq, chipotle bbq, szechuan pepper, garlic parmesan, thai chili... And one called "hurt tomorrow"! Not sure I'm ready for the Hurt Tomorrow, but the locals say it has great flavor. On occasion, they have live music, and they never charge a cover! She was busting her butt to get everyone served and I'm sure she was stressed out. This looks like your standard dive bar, but the food is so good. Very solid homemade pizza. But the wings are really where it is at. Outstanding sauces. Big wings. 75 cents 55 cents on Wednesdays.
