    "New York Style" Pepperoni Pizza

Let me preface this by saying that I love the atmosphere, the service was amazing and the owner was so incredibly nice and welcoming. I also absolutely loved their homemade meatball and the garlic bread was pretty solid too. Now onto the pizza, for being a pizzeria the pizza was really a let down. The crust was very clearly store bought (which they said was true). But the pizza just didn't have a lot of flavor and the crust was super hard. I'd give the pizza a 4.5/10. I would possibly come back in the future to try their garlic bread pizza or meatball sub just because both of those are made in house and were pretty good on their own. I just will never order the pizza again

Jalapeño poppers at an Italian place? You bet. Garlic bread pizza appetizers. Eggplant appetizers kind tasted like whatever was cooked in the oil prior to. Salad was sizable to share and the chicken Parm was delicious too

What a bargin! Wednesday night special includes a pitcher, garlic bread and a large pizza . The garlic bread was soft and crispy and buttery and garlicky, hand tossed crust was perfect, great sauce and lots of cheese . Friendly staff, cozy dining room with a fun bar.

I've been looking forward to trying Brama's Pizzeria since I found out they were coming to Germantown last year. I waited until after their opening week due to how crazy busy they were per social media. My family ordered a 16" hand tossed crust half cheese/half pepperoni pizza with traditional sauce, a 16" thin crust half sausage/half meatball pizza with sweet sauce, wonton mozzarella sticks, and garlic bread. The garlic bread was good. Very comparable to Mama Mia's in that it was large chunks of bread soaked in garlic and butter. I don't think theirs was as salty as Mama Mia's, which could be good or bad depending on what you prefer. Of the two, I liked Brama's more. The mozzarella sticks were bland. I do appreciate that they were obviously hand rolled and not store bought, but if you're going to bake them and not fry them, at least dress them up a bit with garlic butter before baking or sprinkle parmesan or Italian seasoning on top afterwards. I feel you lose a bit of flavor when you skip the deep fryer. I primarily ate the thin crust half sausage/half meatball, but I tried a slice of the hand tossed cheese as well just to be able to compared the two crusts and two sauces. Of the two sauces, I vastly preferred the sweet sauce. I thought the traditional sauce had an odd taste to it and the sweet sauce was more traditional than sweet. Ironically, the hand tossed crust was pretty thin other than the outer edge that wasn't covered with cheese and toppings. I thought the thin crust was better due to the crispiness of the outer edge and the toppings seemed to stretch further towards the edge. I liked the sausage, but the meatball was my favorite of the two. They were moist and had excellent flavor that weren't masked by the cheese, sauce, or crust. The pizza was straight out of the oven when they handed it to me, so it didn't have time to settle and congeal. A large portion of the cheese on the half cheese/half pepperoni pizza slid off the pizza at some point between when they boxed it up and when I got home. It wasn't hard to scoop it back onto the pizza, but it didn't make it look all that appealing. My wife didn't necessarily love it, but I thought the pizza from Brama's is a fine addition to Germantown. There are a couple of other places within reasonable driving distance that I'd prefer to get pizza from, but I'd also be willing to get Brama's again.

Google Maps brought us to what looked like a farm driveway with corn growing on both sides. There aren't many signs, just an old wagon decorated with Christmas lights. It's almost as if they want to keep the place hidden from the traffic on Pleasant View Drive. Food: The menu focuses primarily on wood-fired pizza, with additional offerings including appetizers, sandwiches, and sausages. They also have a large selection of beers, including several brewed on-site. We ordered the Milwaukee Pizza (cheese, sausage, mushrooms, and onions), and I also got the Washington County Smashburger. To drink, I had a margarita, and she ordered the Big Buck Bock. Our food arrived quickly, and everything was amazingly good. The pizza was hot, well seasoned, and generously topped. There was so much mozzarella that the other toppings were practically swimming in it. The smashburger was also excellent. The patty was cooked through with beautifully crispy edges. The pickles were crisp with just the right amount of kick. The crinkle fries were plentiful and well cooked, although they were just a touch too salty for my taste. Service: We received great service from the moment we walked in. You can either order from your table or at the counter. Since it was our first visit, we chose the counter. A staff member greeted us right away and explained how everything worked. Even though it was near closing time, they encouraged us to place our order and then relax, letting us know they would still be around for another hour after closing. Our food was brought out promptly, several people checked on us throughout the meal, and they even proactively brought us takeout containers. Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful, making for a very relaxing dining experience. Atmosphere: The restaurant is set on an old farmstead. They've done a wonderful job converting several of the buildings and outdoor spaces into a welcoming destination. There are multiple outdoor seating areas, along with a newer food hall that feels open, bright, and thoughtfully designed. It's also a very family-friendly place, with outdoor areas where kids can play while everyone else relaxes. Even the restrooms were modern, spacious, and exceptionally clean. We'll definitely be back, and next time we'll be bringing more of the family with us.

Upon driving in there is a building for the restaurant along with nice outdoor seating, and area for kids to play! We went in mid May on a sunny but cool evening. The kids loved having the sand area and toys to play with while waiting for dinner to arrive. They have a good menu, but there seemed to be a decent amount of items unavailable especially the sausages my friends wanted to try. We ended up with the spring pizza, sassy pig, a plain cheese, and then a three combo of sausages. I thought the pizza was all good, not the best I've ever had but solid. The spring pizza was my favorite. The sassy pig was very unique but good! Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of the sausages but others in my group liked them. We upgraded that to include fries and there was only a very small amount. We will definitely be back, seems like a great spot for groups!

After talking with some locals, I got the impression that Johnny's best days might be behind it. It happened to be my birthday, so we made a reservation for 7:15 on a Friday night. Food: As you would expect from a steakhouse and supper club, the menu is extensive, with plenty of appetizers, steaks, seafood, and even pizza. We started with cocktails. I ordered the Sangria special, while others had the Mint Margarita and the Peachy Keen Smash. All of them were very good, with delicious flavor profiles and enough alcohol to let you know you were having a real cocktail. For an appetizer, we ordered the Crispy Brussels Sprouts, finished with hot honey and pomegranate seeds. They were delicious. Crispy just the way we like them, served hot, and generously portioned. There were plenty of great entrée choices, and we settled on the Lamb Chops for me, because if lamb is on the menu, I'm probably ordering it, the "Best in Wisconsin" Pork Chops, and the Scallop Cacciatore. Each entrée came with a nice house salad and warm bread. The lamb was excellent, heavily seasoned with rosemary, nicely charred, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The roasted potatoes and carrots were also very good. The pork chops really were some of the best we've ever had at a restaurant. Both the broiled and breaded versions were excellent, and it was hard to pick a favorite. The Scallop Cacciatore was also good. They used quality scallops and seared them nicely without overcooking them. The pasta sauce, however, had more red pepper flakes than my wife preferred. She loves scallops but isn't a fan of spicy food, so this probably wasn't the best choice for her. We wanted dessert, so we made sure to leave room and took plenty of leftovers home. The Brandy Alexander was made perfectly. They use scooped ice cream rather than soft serve, which gave the drink a thicker texture with a few small chunks of ice cream. The tiramisu was also excellent. It was served at room temperature, had a distinct coffee flavor, and wasn't overly sweet. A very nice finish to an excellent meal. Service: We received excellent service throughout the entire evening. From the moment we arrived and for the next couple of hours, we were consistently well attended to. Everything was well timed, from the water and cocktails to the entrées and dessert. The service was efficient without ever making us feel rushed. Since they asked whether we were celebrating a special occasion, they surprised me with a complimentary strawberry cake for my birthday. Our server was friendly, efficient, and helpful throughout the evening. Thanks, Patty! The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which was a nice touch. Atmosphere: It's a beautiful setting. The woodwork, windows, lighting, and overall design are all very well done. The restaurant feels polished and well cared for without making you feel like you need to dress especially fancy to enjoy it. There was one thing that detracted from the otherwise beautiful atmosphere for me. A couple of televisions over the bar are visible from parts of the dining room. That's not something I expect during a fine-dining experience, and I found them distracting. On our next visit, I'll ask for a table where the TVs are either out of view or less noticeable. Overall, this was an excellent experience. Aside from the television issue, it was a lovely evening with outstanding food and service. Johnny's definitely exceeded my expectations, and it's a place we'd be happy to return to.

Our table of four ordered the pork chops which are "Wisconsins best" and they truly are, a filet done with Oscar style and two pasta specials. Out of the meal choices the pork chops won hands down. Absolutely amazing!!!! We already said we will be back for them. We ordered a dessert as well, the bananas foster. It was table side and a very fun experience!

The wood fired breadsticks were meh. Unfortunately, I didn't taste any of the herb mix that they were supposed to be brushed with. The meatballs, on the other hand, were flavorful and delicate. If I were to do an appetizer next time I visit I would consider the meatballs and pass on the breadsticks. The bianca pizza was outstanding. The sauce was initially a little runny, so I had to let it firm up a bit before picking up a slice, but it was worth the wait. The crust had fantastic chew and was a stark contrast to the harder breadsticks. This is something I would gladly get again.
