Needless to say I was accommodated in a room right the way , very welcoming and warm atmosphere. The entire place is SPOTLESS clean , They offer free cookies and lemon water at the reception , coffee and tea are also available all day for the guests. The room was spacious and clean with tons of extra towels and a big refrigerator. They indoor pool is available daily from 5am-11pm and the also have a gym and a game room with a pool table and arcade games such as pinball machine and pac man just to name a few . Breakfast is included and it's served from 6-10am with a huge variety of bagels , muffins , cereal , juices , waffle maker , eggs , home fries , yogurt and so on .. there's just so many things to choose from . Although it's somewhat close to the road, we never heard traffic, and since it's such a rural area to begin with, there's not much traffic anyway. We truly felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. There are some cabins on the other side of the creek that are slightly more secluded for people who want that.

The cabins are also a bit too close together so you can hear people talking all around if they have the windows open. The fire pit was perfect and right on the little stream behind the cabin. I think next time we will try to rent one of the cabins on the other side of the bridge just for a little more privacy and quite. Inside the cabin I really liked whatever Incense they had burned before we got there and that they had everything we needed in the kitchen. One issue was that the dishes were not clean when we got there so we had to wash a few before using. Also in the bedroom one of the screens was not properly attached on the bottom so when we opened the window we ended up getting a lot of flies and mosquitos inside. The bathroom was a bit tiny but i expected this with such small cabins. The walls in the shower are not attached to the wall though so do not lean on them or you could break or tip it to the tip (couldn't tip it over though). Main problem with the bathroom is that after a hot shower and you open the door it sets the fire alarm off that right outside the door even if you had the window open to let the steam out. He was definitely not happy being woken up at 6am because I wake early. All in all I would stay again but I would defiantly pick one of the back cabins over the front one we stayed in.

We never heard people walking above us, and even if the 2nd floor is where the pool is located (and the hotel was full), we didn't hear too many kids running around. And - during our previous stay for 4th of July, I actually realized that they have an area to the back/right hand side of the hotel, with tables and even bbqs guests can use! Picnic tables aren't the most comfy, but I can bring my own chair from now on. We will be back soon! Love this place.

The bed was super comfortable with great pillows. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We pretty much stayed to ourselves, but there were a number of common areas where we could've fraternized with the guests, played board games, read. The outdoor grounds were quite lovely, and in addition to a patio to sit on, there was a large grassy area to walk around, and I believe one could play croquet too... not positive about that part, though. There were no TV's in the rooms purposely, and I'm not sure there were any in the common areas either. I doubt we would've liked that if we had stayed longer than one night... but for one night, we survived. Funny and ironic how dependent we (and most people) are on being entertained by TV's. My only disappointment was, and I knew ahead of time, is that we were staying there on a night their main dining room was NOT open, so we didn't get to dine there. It probably would've been much better than where we did eat, and we would've had the convenience of being right there... but alas, it was not meant to be this time. Their pub was open, but the menu was quite minimal and not anything we were interested in. If ever we should pass through this part of Vermont in the future, I would love the opportunity to stay here again.

They had a little binder of tons of stuff to do in the area, wireless internet, tv, mini firdge and a coffeemaker. It was great! Just what I was looking for. Within ten minutes of arriving to the motel we were off to Trout River Brewing for pizza! We left early in the morning so we didn't do anything in the area, but it seems there's lots to do, so I think we might come back. This is a great place to go away for the weekend on a budget! PS. We had a fantastic long weekend went to several different places did some good bike runs around the area checked out Polly's pancake parlor one morning. We went over to a brewery over in Vermont. Some of us went to Ben & Jerry's. We all went to Cabot creamery it was just cool. One of our members Curtis always finds cool things to do. They always manage to get just the right amount of fun stuff packed since the weekend we could hit one day where it was raining on Saturday, but a bunch of of us got together and had card games in the pool, pool house and had snacks and everything. We had a good time went by vast sometimes I wish it was longer, but sometimes it's just the right amount of time, but this lodge is just amazing. They're right on top of everything. There's nothing you want. They're always able to give you whatever you need. It is close to a Walmart which unfortunately they're not as nice as the people at the lodge. I had also left something there. Call back a couple of days later if they had found it and they even held onto it so I got some friends to go pick it up for me and like how many people do that they don't even find what you're looking for. But really good people great service enjoy going there every year I mean, even if we don't go there again I'll still take it as a long weekend with my honey and some family members and go ourselves cause it really is a good time.
