The entire place is SPOTLESS clean , They offer free cookies and lemon water at the reception , coffee and tea are also available all day for the guests. The room was spacious and clean with tons of extra towels and a big refrigerator. They indoor pool is available daily from 5am-11pm and the also have a gym and a game room with a pool table and arcade games such as pinball machine and pac man just to name a few . Breakfast is included and it's served from 6-10am with a huge variety of bagels , muffins , cereal , juices , waffle maker , eggs , home fries , yogurt and so on .. there's just so many things to choose from . And the rooms are also sound proof ?! Cause everything was just so quiet , you could sleep all day it you wanted . And last but not least , the view of the mountains are simply BREATHTAKING.. ....

Although there are a few things that could use some TLC, overall the cottage was great. Comfortable bed, great jacuzzi tub, sauna, and fire box. The restaurant at the inn is exceptional. Unique menu items and everything cooked to perfection. We loved it so much we ate there all 3 nights of our stay. The inn has a library and enjoyed playing chess there by the fireplace one evening. Avoid this hotel! Our family's stay at the Best Western Inn in Franconia, NH. Was an outright…read morenightmare of a stay and the worst hotel experience my family has ever endured. Within hours of arrival, we were forced out of one filthy, unsafe room into another that was even worse. We encountered mold, broken fixtures, hotel doors with no lock, and blood-stained bedding on both the linen of all beds (what was stated to be possibly from drug users that frequent the location). Staff admitted the rooms were unfit yet failed to provide clean linens, stating cleaning service was unavailable and my wife and I would have to strip and remake blood-contaminated beds ourselves while our children slept in personal blankets in chairs due to the time of night. The situation escalated into harassment, dishonesty, and ultimately a police visit based on false claims made by staff (Kevin Jam). Management (Bija Patel/Vin Patel) upon discovering Jams harassment, mishandling, and misrepresentation of facts to Law Enforcement (which he was warned of) misrepresented their role, stating there was nothing they could do other than a 10% discount on our stay due to my family "being publicly humiliated in the hallway late at night". Upon departing, we contacted Best Western Corporate, they informed us although they utilize the Best Western name they do not recognize their affiliation. This property demonstrated severe health code violations, reckless staff conduct, and a complete disregard for guest safety and basic human decency. Avoid this hotel at all costs. When attempting a refund through Best Western they stated although the property utilizes the Best Western name they do not recognize their affiliation.

Everyone kept saying how unseasonably hot and humid it was for Stowe, so who knows... maybe the A/C just had difficulty regulating itself... or we didn't know how to use it properly. Also, we loved that they had Netflix and Amazon Prime, so we could settle into the shows we were missing while traveling. That was a nice surprise ! Most hotels don't offer any of that. We had planned to dine out at one of the local restaurants, but we found out they were serving dinner at Grant's, the inn's restaurant. We were tired after traveling around all day, so we stayed at the inn and ate a great meal at Grant's. (See separate review for that.) Also, the common areas in the main building next to the restaurant are very tastefully appointed, spacious, with lots of games, books and sitting areas for people to utilize. We walked around them to see what there was but returned to our room to relax and watch some of our shows. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We arrived to find a great little motel - maybe the cleanest one I've ever stayed in. The room kind of looked like a tiny little ski lodge. They had a little binder of tons of stuff to do in the area, wireless internet, tv, mini firdge and a coffeemaker. It was great! Just what I was looking for. Within ten minutes of arriving to the motel we were off to Trout River Brewing for pizza! We left early in the morning so we didn't do anything in the area, but it seems there's lots to do, so I think we might come back. This is a great place to go away for the weekend on a budget! PS. The Yelp listing says this place is closed. But, it isn't. I stayed here in February 2010.
