Tara was the best!! A group of friends and I went in at opening and she lifted the atmosphere!! Come to find out her birthday was the night before, same night as my friends! Loved this place and will be back again!!

Fantastic dive bar in the middle of Santa Barbara! Love this place, don't serve food so come here to get your drink on!!!

I've been to this bar several times without issue, but tonight was deeply upsetting. I walked into the women's restroom with a friend, and just as we closed the door, a man forced it open and stepped inside. While I was in the middle of undressing. I was shocked and embarrassed. He told us only one woman was allowed in at a time, pointing to a sign that said so, and then added, "I'm the owner. I've been here for years." Oddly, there was no such rule posted on the men's restroom. When I told him I felt extremely uncomfortable, he dismissed me with a cold "Yeah." As my friends and I used the restroom one by one, the owner and others stood nearby, watching us and whispering, which only added to our discomfort. We left immediately after. No customer should ever be made to feel unsafe or disrespected. I'm sharing this in the hope that it leads to accountability and change.

Old Kings Road is the greatest bar to ever occupy State Street. The service is amazing. The bartenders are so attentive and friendly. The drinks are delicious and always made quickly, to perfection. I've been going here for 3years, 3months, and 29days. I can't believe these negative comments. In all the time I've spent at this established I have met the most amazing people who I consider to be more like family than friends. The ambiance is perfect for a British style bar. OKR is my home away from home and I have never felt such a sense of belonging and community inside ANY BAR EVER! I will be an OKR supporter for life! I am eternally grateful for all they do for us. If you are a regular or just a passerby, they will always treat you with equal levels of kindness and respect. Big shout out to Don who always makes sure people are happy, satisfied, and taken care of! -Dakota F. (Aka Ginger Jesus)

If you like Outkast like I do this is the place to be. The bouncer Alex is super nice and so are the bartenders. There is a bunch of English prints and flag art inside. Along with a print of Queen Elizabeth. I feel so royal here lol. I definitely think the art in here is better than other bars in Santa Barbara.

NEVER, EVER GO HERE. They verbally and physically abuse their customers. The man (pictured in review) grabbed our arms, took away the chairs from under us, and turned off all the heaters. It was literally so creepy and so very strange. He was on a POWER trip he literally was laughing in our faces while we were freezing in the cold. Honestly a pathetic establishment. Don't give them a DIME. There are way better dive bars on state st.

I'm a "regular". How have I missed reviewing Old Kings Road? Lets just say I was busy with a pint in one hand and my putter in the other. Old Kings Road is one of a couple British pubs in Santa Barbara that goes beyond the beer. Like The Press Room, Brits live and drink in these halls. Pool and smoking in the back/patio and football on the multiple screens. The beer is cold in recently redone lines with my favorite, Smithwicks on pull but most importantly, it's a regulars bar. Come in 3 times and you will see the same people shuffling the jukebox, racking the solids and strips, swinging over the Golden Tee links or enjoying trivia night. Come here to make new friends, see old ones and drink a mighty fine pint of ale. Oh, there's a full bar too so shots are on. See you for a round of golf and a pint full of suds!

One of the few places on State St. where you can get a unique drink. The bartender was really helpful in helping choose which drink to order. There are several booths (which you don't see at bars) and high tables. I got the Washington Apple and it's definitely apple with a kick.

Great Bloody Mary's .

The atmosphere felt warm, lively, and welcoming in a way that made it easy to relax and enjoy the moment. The food there tasted genuinely good to me, and every dish had the kind of flavor that makes you slow down and appreciate what you're eating instead of rushing through it. I liked how comfortable everything felt, and I appreciated that I could enjoy my time without feeling pressured or hurried. I noticed a lot of teenagers at this location, which made sense because the place has a fun, friendly vibe that younger people would enjoy a lot. Seeing them there made me realize how much teenagers would love spending time at The Perch, especially since it gives them a spot where they can eat good food, talk, laugh, and feel like they belong. Even though this restaurant was new to me, I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and settled in. I've only visited The Perch one time in my life before writing this review, but that one visit was enough for me to understand why people speak so positively about it. It's one of the most comfortable and enjoyable restaurants I've been to in a while, and I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a place to enjoy good food, spend time with friends, and feel part of a lively environment. If you're in Frazier Park and want a spot that feels inviting and fun, The Perch is definitely worth checking out.

For a bit, we were the only ones inside and we placed our order fairly quickly, but it took more than 45 minutes to get our food and then we had to get utensils to eat it. I asked for a Chardonnay and the bartender insisted I should get the Sauvignon Blanc and then he brought me Chardonnay. The flatbread was good but not worth the wait. Again, it appears the locals really enjoy the restaurant/bar. They have open mic night and other entertainment it seems. While I don't go to vacation area restaurants on any timetable, the wait time for food was not good. So this experience was not exactly enjoyable.

Beer Pressure…read more Classic American Pub located in Ventura that features over one hundred beers on tap and classic American comfort foods in a surprisingly family-friendly environment. The Good: * Beyond all the beers on tap, they also have a full bar. * Service was friendly and pretty good overall. * Secret menu for both food and drink. Shhhh...! * Their wings were fantastic! You've really gotta try the Strawbanero (Strawberry-Habanero) sauce, as it was a sweet and savory bite that had all three of us fighting over. * Buffalo Barrels (aka Tater Tots) were worth the $5 upgrade. But, I'm somewhat of a Tater Tot junkie, so take that advice for what it's worth. * Fries were fantastic, as well. * Short Rib Melt was delicious, but very, very rich. It could've used a little relief like some pickles either on it or on the side. The Meh: * They do have their own parking lot, but it is smallish and can fill up fast. There is some street parking available, as well. The Ugly: * They had a lot of beers that were out of commission, including several that I was pretty excited to try. =/ Conclusion: Great spot to get your suds and spuds!

Great atmosphere and decor, our server was very friendly and helpful and checked on us even after our food was served. Let's s talk about the food, very good for a Pub scene, food was plenty and came out hot. The fish and chips (what I ordered) were very good, crunchy outside and fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Not greasy at all. All our entrees had the option of skinny fries or fat fries. The French Dip had plenty of moist beef in it with a great Au Jus, burger was cooked to perfection and the smashed chicken sandwich was amazing. Plenty of choices of beer featuring local breweries as well as the standard go to's. We got there before the dinner crowd got there and it filled in fast. Great menu with lots of choices and they also serve a breakfast menu on the weekends. Glad we came in and was a very pleasant experience. Bravissimo Lucky Fool's, you gained a new customer. It was a bit warm to sit outside (80°F) and the wait for outdoor was 30 min so we opt to sit inside. We still had a nice view of the golf course and the rolling hills behind the golf course. Our total bill with tip was $50. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich that was delicious, juicy but also really messy. And my friend got the Bistro Burger. Upon arrival, the staff seemed a bit frazzled. The menu changed a few times, which made things a little confusing, but the two women helping us were very kind and did their best, they just didn't seem fully prepared for a group our size. We kept our orders simple, and surprisingly, the food came out extremely fast... before the coffee even arrived. Overall though, the food was good. I had the avocado toast, which was really tasty, and everyone in the group seemed to enjoy what they ordered. The real standout here is the setting, the golf course and surrounding grounds are absolutely beautiful and make for a really nice atmosphere. Overall, a solid spot for smaller groups or a casual outing, but larger parties might be a bit of a challenge for them.
