Always a great breakfast with friendly service here. The bagels here are definitely my favorite in the area. Today I enjoyed a NJ staple - Pork roll, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and it was delicious. I never had a latte here before but the latte was perfect today. Winter morning well spent in OMJs cozy dining area.

They have the best bagels in the area, and they are always so fresh! Besides the bagels they have a great summer pizza nights outside!

Fresh homemade bagel was great. Awesome breakfast options and conveniently located. Looking forward to being back. Clean and open space inside where you don't feel rushed to leave.

One of the best bagels I've ever had! Craving it ever since! Such a cute & quaint locally owned spot.

Poppy seed bagel with (fresh) veggie cream cheese. Baked in house. Organic. Sourdough. Very generous with the poppy and sesame.

Old Man Joe's is located on Main St across from Dick's World of Wines and Midway Pizza Plaza. It's in the same location as the old beloved TinTin bakery. To enter the parking lot , enter the driveway on the left of the building. The spots are (poorly marked) along the left. Exit to the right, behind the building, onto School St. 4 Adirondack chairs sit at the front of the building. This is a great idea because now we can see that this place is opened (there were many delays to its opening) and you can see people enjoying their products. The inside has about 4 tables seating for 4 with seating along the counter. There's a menu board and pastry display case. Coffee is from Brooklyn NY (home town!!!) all of the goods are organic and made in house. They also make their own nut milks. The bagels are sourdough. You can get, butter, cream cheese, labneh, lox, bacon, eggs, pork roll (I guess it's something like Canadian Bacon- but Native to the Jersey area), and cheese. There's also chia pudding (which I planned on ordering but I forgot) I had the poppy bagel with veggie cream cheese. The veggie cream cheese was made with fresh veggies which I don't think I've ever had before. There were red and yellow Bell peppers, red onion, and scallions. Very nice touch. The cheddar scone was delicious with flaky sea salt on the top. Would have been better heated up. I bought the last one- but not before the next customer ordering has seen it in the display case and tried ordering it. They were kind of bummed out. They ended up sitting next to us so I offered them a piece and then they gave us a piece of their muffin. The owners cheered at us for being so friendly and sharing. And we both got to try both pastries so win win win !! My cappuccino was truly delicious. I ordered the Flash Drip with cashew milk for hubby. He loved it. Prices were just right. I found it was a bit cheaper than Dave's. They are very generous with the poppy and sesame seeds on the bagels. Top and bottoms were covered in seeds. Very rare to see. I'm a huge poppy seed fan and not many places carry them. So for a drip coffee, an herbal chamomile tea, cappuccino, Flash Drip, cheddar scone, bagel with lox, bagel with butter, bagel with veggie cream cheese came out to $34.56 (lucky!). That was 4 drinks, 3 bagels and 1 pastry. Expect to spend about $9 per person. Not bad. All straws and utensils are compostable. Trays are those super sturdy metal trays. The staff were super friendly. (Jazz I think) music plays inside, fresh cut flowers on the tables. Came on Wednesday around noon. Steady flow of customers throughout our visit. Will definitely be back.

This review is based on an evening weekend visit. I see that it's a coffee/breakfast place in the morning and looks super cute, but we came on a Saturday night for music and cocktails! It's a cozy space that had a guitarist in the corner. We sat at the bar and tried out some cocktails that were great! Super fun spot to stop in after dinner for live music and drinks.

Excellent. Maybe best poppy seed bagel ever. Had the average Joe. Freshly made egg, runny yolk. Perfect.

Best bagel I've had outside of Manhattan. Would have been five stars but parking is tricky and seating is inadequate.

Cutest shop. They had gluten free pastries. Their coffee can be a bit bitter because of the homemade nut milk.

Yes, get here early especially in tourist season to beat the crowds, and order ahead if the option is available. They do sell out so check their instagram/facebook first to make sure they haven't yet. My current go to is a plain or sesame bagel toasted with butter and a little hot honey. When I am more hungry, I go for the sweet Lou with no cheese or the Hot Boi with no cheese and cream cheese on the side. The eggs are local and everything is cooked perfectly. The everything bagel is a little too salty for my tastes, but friends love it! My boyfriend is incredibly picky about bagels but if I come home with no bagel for him he gets in his feelings--it's that good. I'm so happy to see The Flour Shop thrive here in Pawcatuck. They started off with humble beginnings and it's been great to watch them grow and expand. Staff is always kind, even with the stress of the tourist season. Check this place out!

I would give 6 stars if it would let me!!! If you haven't made it to The Flour Shop Bagels & More…read moreyet, you're seriously missing out. This hidden gem is already going viral in real life, and after my visit, I completely understand why. Be prepared to wait (the line stretched out the door and wrapped around the building) but don't let that scare you away. It moves pretty fast. It's absolutely worth the wait. And that says a lot coming from an impatient New Yorker that hates to wait. Inside is small and can get pretty crowded, but there are a few outdoor tables if you'd rather enjoy your food outside. Parking was surprisingly easy, with a decent-sized lot. The service was just as impressive as the food. Owner Hannah was wonderful to chat with and clearly passionate about what she's built. Alyssa, who took my order, was incredibly patient and helped me narrow down the menu with fantastic recommendations!! I tried the #3 Sweet Lou on a jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, and it was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The cheddar scallion bagel with regular cream cheese was light, flavorful, and had just the right amount of crisp on the outside. I also had the Meemers BLT on a margarita bagel, which was absolutely delicious. For drinks, I ordered the Cookie Butter Cold Brew with cold foam and the Banana Bread Latte with caramel and cold foam. Both were incredible and packed with flavor. (I usually don't even like cold brew) From the exceptional service to the outstanding food and drinks, everything exceeded my expectations. The Flour Shop Bagels & More absolutely lives up to the hype and is a must visit if you're looking for one of the area's best breakfast spots. They are absolutely on my list of favorites now!

This is a huge store with a bunch of different rooms/spaces to sit in, including an outdoor patio which was very cute. I did not study here, but it would be a great spot. Lots of seating and outlets.
