They're the biggest reason I keep going back. The store is well organized, fitting rooms are bright and have a large waiting area for a friend, with a big set of mirrors. They've got decent selection, and change out styles frequently. I love that they usually have a decent amount of clearance at this locations. For the main floor, I do feel like they might have too many categories of things, so not enough options in any one of those categories. For value: always check their website to see if it's cheaper there (it's frequently 40% off or more), and then if it is, price match it in store (which they are happy to do). Other than that, the clearance is usually some great deals, but the normal price on the tag feels high without a sale. Clothing generally holds up - I've got pieces from there that I've been wearing for years.

I've also styled fashion shows throughout Los Angeles. So yes -- I have plenty of experience with real customer service, retail expectations, and actually treating customers like customers. Which is exactly why this Vans location is always such a disappointment. I stopped in with my husband and daughter so she could quickly try on a pair of shoes. I asked for help immediately and was told to wait -- fine -- but then I stood there for about five minutes like I was waiting for someone to acknowledge my existence. When an employee finally came over, I asked for a simple shoe size. Instead of helping with that, she dove straight into a hard sell on socks like I had wandered into a sock convention by accident. I politely declined -- because again, I was just trying to confirm a shoe size for my kid -- and her attitude changed instantly. Suddenly I'm getting the annoyed tone, the energy shift, and then she walked a few steps away to complain about me to her coworker... while I was still right there. No "thank you," no basic courtesy, nothing. Just rudeness and an unnecessary attitude -- not exactly the experience you want your 10-year-old to see while shopping with you. On the way out, the first employee reminded me about their "buy one, get one 50% off" promo. I let her know that online is 30% off plus rewards, so the in-store "deal" wasn't actually a deal. You'd think that would be obvious. Between the pressure to buy, the attitude, and the lack of even the most basic professionalism, the whole experience was uncomfortable and honestly embarrassing -- and not for me. After years of similar issues at this location, today officially sealed it: I'll keep buying Vans, just not from this store.

I was standing in what I thought was the checkout line considering that I have never been to that location before, and the whole entire time that I was waiting 5-7 minutes or so; the male cashier glanced at me multiple times and not once did he let me know that there is an actual checkout line on the other side of the display. (Which mind you, you wouldn't have seen unless you walk to the other side of a display) As soon as the male cashier became available, I walked up to him, he points to the left and tells me that there's a checkout line, which he failed to tell me in advance and services another customer instead. Of course, frustrated and upset, I walked over to the other side of the display and then he calls me up now to check out. At that moment, I told him that he could have been courteous and let me know that there was an actual checkout line instead of telling me last minute. Instead, he gave me a poor excuse for not letting me know. I also explained to him that I was trying to reach way above the shelves that were out of reach and the female employees on the floor also didn't assist or bother to help when I asked them if they had a jacket in a certain size. Instead, the female employee told me all the sizes were out and that was it, so then I asked her if she can move the rack of clothes that she was stocking to be moved aside so I can be closer to be able to grab the jackets from the shelves up high. The male was rude and so was manager of the store, Staci. Staci was extremely unprofessional and rude considering she told me directly that it's a matter of how I speak to the employees, when I was not being rude at all. I was letting them know that if a customer needs assistance, then they should be aware of the situation and be courteous. Once I asked for her name before I left, she told me her name with a smirk and said to go ahead and report her. I hope the GM of this location addresses Staci's terrible behavior as well as her male coworker that also worked at the cash register with her and rectifies this problem. I would advise against visiting this location unless you want to be talked down to. I hope no one has to experience this type of bad behavior and poor customer service from the employees of this location.

The hoodie, sweatpants and jacket are very comfortable to wear around the house, in town or traveling. The True Religion staff at this location are pleasant, friendly and helpful when needing help finding a size, or general question that needs to be asked and answered.
