When in need of a quick gift for a little one, I always choose Old Navy. I'm not a Bayfair Mall fan, but you can get what you need here. I always prefer making the drive out to Dublin. The Dublin location seems to have more of a selection, is heavily staffed with friendly employees and a whole lot cleaner. Anyways....I did come here for a last minute gift for a toddler. I was able to get two shirts and a pair of jeans for $20.00. You can't go wrong with the prices at any Old Navy location. Note: Old Navy clothes are kinda funny in the sense that they seem to run smaller than the normal size chart. Since I was buying for a toddler who normally wears a 2T, I purchased the outfits in a 3T. Once you wash and dry them....they will fit like a 2T. Children grow so DANG fast! Why would anybody want to spend more money than needed on outfits they will only wear a few times. I'll save the name brands for me! read more

Friendly staff. They re-organized the store. I like it although I am still getting used to where stuff is. Old Navy used to have great yoga pants. I don't like the material they use for the yoga pants now. The material isn't very soft, it starts to pill a bit, and they don't wash well. I guess my favorite item here is their simple ribbed tank tops. I love those things and have them in about 10 different colors and counting.... This location always has a long wait at the cash register even if there isn't a long line. I'm tired of that nonsense. read more

Called to see if they were open. Employee answered very rudely when asked if they were open for returns she replied yes we've been opened. Didn't provide the hours of the store. Showed up to find out they would be open an hour later. Hours of the store were located in one place where people could barely see as well read more

This store is a mess. Probably one of the worst retail stores I've been in in a while. There are clothes everywhere nothing is properly stocked and the staff is all very rude and slow. read more

So disappointed in the customer service at this store! Tried to return 3 out of 12 items I purchased in September because they were way small for my kids; with the tags still on, never worn, AND with the receipt. I was told my receipt "expired" and all they would give me is the current clearance price in store credit! Lame policy of 45 days on returns... REALLY?!? I would have given zero stars if I could have. Get it together GAP/Old Navy, your policy is ridiculous. Needless to say I won't be spending anymore money at any old navy or Gap affiliated stores. I have always liked this Old Navy. Long lines, yes, but always really friendly staff! Until my last visit anyway. Came in about a half hour before closing time to do a quick return. Security at the door let me know they were closing soon, and I let him know I was just doing a return. No big deal, he was cool with that. I get to the cashier, and she's awkwardly unfriendly from the beginning. She does my return, gives me back my money, and then lingers for a couple seconds before finally going to hand me my receipt. By the time she's ready to give me my receipt, I'm already starting to turn to walk away. So I ask her if she minds just throwing it in the trash for me...and she huffed, puffed and rolled her eyes at me. Really? That upset over throwing a receipt in trash. Go f yourself. You work in retail, if you can't put a smile on your face, find a new job! read more

What a dump. I walk in at 10:30 on a Saturday morning and it looked like it had been ransacked. Clothes on the floor, unfolded clothes in shelves, things in wrong places. You'd think at opening they'd be ready to go. Instead looks like no one cared what it looked like or that customers couldn't shop and find the right sizes through all the mess. Just okay. This was our first visit to this location and we actually aren't frequent Old Navy shoppers so we stopped in to look for running shorts for my daughter. I found things disorganized and it was hard to locate specific sizes in specific colors. My daughter and I are both on the shorter side so much of their inventory of running shorts was beyond what we could reach. And then I had trouble finding someone actually willing to help us. They have these two beach style changing rooms (circular with drapes) but unless you have someone standing guard, I advise against using them. Even with my standing right outside of one my daughter used, a woman managed to come from the other side and open the curtain on my daughter. The two changing tent things are not monitored by staff and there's no way to indicate they are in use unless you bend way down to look for feet which apparently some aren't willing to do. The other thing that bugged me is that they happened to have "30% off entire store" signs outside and throughout the store, but they don't say it doesn't include clearance items. When something has the word "entire" in it I expect that to mean everything. I know it's minor and a bit nit picky, but they had dog toys that were on clearance that I picked up for our puppies and I was bummed not to see the additional 30% the signs suggested would be there. Anyway, we don't usually go to Old Navy often so I'm sure they won't miss us. I guess these are some of the reasons why they aren't our favorite store. No thanks! read more

While normally I have no complaints regarding this location, I finally experienced a problem the other day regarding one of their cashiers. This is pretty much how it went... Husband and I went in to get him some new jeans. Walked up to the cashier with two pairs for him, and a dress for myself. I had a coupon that specifically stated "spend $75 and receive $30 off." Pretty easy to understand. Apparently not for this girl. After handing her the clothes and her ringing them up, the total came out to 90-something dollars and I hand her the coupon. "Oh you can't use this. It says it has to be more than $75." Last time I checked, 90 is clearly higher than 75. Once I said that to her she started to give me a ridiculous attitude like I was in the wrong. She continued to try to give me excuses as to why I couldn't use the coupon. Finally, after about 10 minutes she said, "Okay, well I guess I will try to scan it and see if it will work." And low and behold it did! Old Navy, I love your store. I really do. But please try to hire people who are smarter than a 5th grader. My 4 year old probably understood the coupon more than that girl did. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when I went into this store. The people were so friendly and I just loved so many of the clothes! When I went into the Old Navy on Marina, all the store clerks had on those headsets and they were always talking to each other and it was SOOOO annoying - like all those people on their bluetooths, just in their own little world. Good selection. I have been coming here for over a year and I am always impressed with the staff. They are helpful and nice. I love Old Navy clothes. I won't even let my wife do the shopping for me! It is easy because the sizes are consistant so i walk around and just pick out colors I like (my pants are all either jeans, brown or tan cords) Go here! read more

This place is embarrassing. It's dirty, messy, clothing on the floor and incredibly slow cashiers. The line is always ridiculously long. The dust on the security cameras is out of control. I've always loved old navy I used to live in San Mateo and I live in the apartment right next to the mall so I'm always there my kids grew up wearing old navy clothes until now and when I can't find what I'm looking for I would always go online and order it there and if there's a problem I would go to the store (San Mateo) return it with no questions ask and if I don't have the receipt they would always take it anyway because it says old navy on the clothes. My nightmare began when I moved to the east bay because that's where we can afford to purchase a house. I'm doing the same thing I'm doing when I was in San Mateo I would go to the store and because I can't find what I'm looking for I ordered the item online it just happen that what I ordered is too big for me so I went to the store and told them the situation I told them that I didn't have the invoice this lady Gemma helped me or pretended that she wanted to help me because the other lady looks like she's new and she don't know what she's doing so she scanned the item and she said we'll give you $27 for it like Plato's closet in San Mateo but then I said I paid $44.94 for this jean jacket +tax but she said that that's the price that we have on our scanner and then she looked online and she said see it's $27 I said can you click on the size? She said it won't click because we don't have this item in the store. I said exactly my point the reason I bought it online is because you guys don't have it in the store and online if it's 3X and over it never goes on sale you can look it up and then she said we have to honor the price on our scanner. Look if you paid $44.94 for something and you return it in the store and they trying to talk the price down how would you feel. I'm in the customer service business too and if it's our brand that is being return to us I would take it and would do my job to find out what I can do to make my customer happy and because Gemma just went to what she have in front of her I think she's just a lazy old navy associate that's having a power trip just coz she can. Old navy messed up with my credit, i regret completely I opened an account with them, the customer service is so rude and instead of helping they just say NO there is nothing left for us to do. I did paid all my debts with them and suddenly they added 6 dollars extra after y paid a total a few months ago. I was not even able to Check on the website for the payment story to see if I mistake the total. (Weird) as soon as I called them they erased the total but closed my account and added me in the collecting credit report because a debt of 6 dollars . Really ? read more

Came in looking for cargo pants that I didn't get in alameda and was instantly regretting it so we stopped by the other day to grab them and tried to use a promo of buy a pair of jeans and get 20% off anything else. This code didn't seem to work anywhere and no one seemed to know anything about it which was kind of annoying. Anyhow we had the cashier ask a supervisor and she proceeds to tell me that my cargo pants are jeans.. Which I don't believe is correct because jeans are denim and that's what all the signs show as well. Anyways they wouldn't offer my code but the cashier did her best to help me out in all ways possible so I do applaud her and giving that extra star for her service! read more

Wonderful customer service! The store is always neat and clean and the employees are always helpful and seem to enjoy their job. Tonight (11/1/13) I had the most worrisome return ever! I ordered my items online had a receipt for one item but not the other. Mark A. was super helpful, kept a smile and nice attitude throughout the entire ordeal. It took probably 15-20 minutes to complete my multiple returns due to errors from online purchasing. He was also helped by an equally friendly woman. Christine, I believe her name was. Thanks so much Old Navy for employing these 2 great individuals. They never got an attitude or became unfriendly due to the situation. I really really appreciate that because manners and customer service seem to be a lost art nowadays. Mark and Christine definitely deserve a raise. We always loved shopping at Old Navy in Bay Fair, it was one of our many favorite spots until today. After an awful incident we had with one employee and the manager I made a complaint to corporate and we got a customer satisfaction coupon. Believing in second chances we went there to redeem the coupon. I choose an item with 40% off and some other garments. The cashier didn't give me the 40% on that particular item but rang the coupon. I noticed her error on my receipt and let her know about it and she said....." you already used the coupon and I can't do anything about it". During the whole interaction she stoped doing her job to flirt with another co-worker. I had to bit my tongue several times. The manager was called and fixed the problem but when I told her, her employee decided to flirt instead of work, she with a nonchalant face expression just fake a smiled saying "ok". Besides, I agree with many other reviewers, this place is a great mess. I'll continue shopping at Old Navy but never returning to this branch taking advantage of the capitalism we practice in this beautiful country. NEVER AGAIN! read more

i come here to get graphic Tshirts. a ton of cool shirts for $15 to $30. aside from hot topic no other place has more original style comic book tshirts. plus they are always super soft and comfortable. I also bought my favorite sf giants tee from here. this particular location is a good one. it is never that crowded and they often have a lot of sizes that others do not. read more

Came in to exchange 2 items I purchased online. I just needed to switch to a different size. The staff at this store couldnt handle such a "difficult" request. They returned my items and then tried to charge me a higher amount for the same item in a different size. I then decided to take my items and return them via mail but was told by the manager she could not reverse it now. After an hour of dealing with this I just walked out. I called the customer service number and they were able to send me the correct sizes at no charge for the same price. read more

The worst!!!!! The store was a mess, which I would let slide being so close to Black Friday and I waited in line for 30 minutes with only 6 people ahead of me, which I also would have let slide since one employee was stuck the whole time with a problematic customer, but then.........I was finally called next and was helped by the manager who was on the phone the whole time threatening an employee with a tooth ache that if he/she didn't take some Advil and show up to work that it would be counted against them and their hours would be cut. Okay, but she wouldn't total out my order so that I could at least slide my debit card and keep the process moving. She just ignored me and folded and folded and folded and folded. Everyone behind me in line had been long gone. My patience ran out and I finally just said "never mind" and left with nothing. I was in Old Navey the other day shopping and I was at the check out stand. I went to pay for my items and realized I was $2.65 cents short and I told the check out girl I would have to leave my stuff and go home to get the rest of the money, she said no I will put the money in for you and you can pay me the next time your here. I was so suprised and thankful for her kindness. She went above and beyond excellant customer service. I went straight home with my purchase and went right back to pay her. I even offered her a tip for her kindness but she wouldn't take it. I give this store and employee 5 stars plus. read more
