Quick happy hour with mom here to try out the new place. Drink specials are best in town ($3 wells and $6 'speciality' martinis. Burgers are also only $3, and are pretty tasty, tender and moist even if served Medium. As expected, no sides, but their appetizers look good. I had a martini with tequila that tasted slightly too sour, but some of the other drink options looked nice. We sat outside on the patio, would definitely recommend doing so. Only downside was service: while attentive, our server forgot our order after taking it, and the food served didn't match with what we told her. We also noticed she gave the wrong check to the table next to us. Both issues were quickly resolved, so I'll chalk it up to her being new. Stopped in for drinks and food with 5 friends on a somewhat chilly & rainy night. It is pretty small inside and we soon found accommodating 6 of us inside was not going to work out because of the table sizes. We opted to sit outside under the covering and just put up with the chill, so -1 star on not being able to handle 6 people that want to sit together inside. So - the waitress was very good, she was patient while we perused the many drink options and did a good job bringing everyone what they ordered. We tried each others exotic concoctions and they were all good and reasonably priced under $10. Then on to our food orders. It's a small menu, so I got a burger and a side of onion rings. Don't come here for healthy eating! The burger was absolutely delicious, crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside. A good sauce and condiments. The onion rings were equally good, hot, crisp and real onions inside - not some mush. The burger was only $5 - a bargain in my book. Plus it is somewhat on the smaller side - which is perfect for me - I can never finish giant burgers elsewhere. I'd rather pay less and have a smaller portion that I can actually finish. Everyone loved their food, there was agreement all around that the food and drinks were good, our waitress was good, and we all had fun. How else can I put just RUDE My wife and I arrived to this establishment at 2:59 today for us only to be told that we could not enter because they were closed so I asked her what time do they open back up why did she say THREE OCLOCK PM and then RUDELY locked the doors on us as soon as we stepped out like we was going to just walk back up in that place what kind of crap is that I but it is on Kercheval Avenue out in Grosse Point sooooo go figure we know that the folks out here looks like we're lest then zero like we don't have a home out here or have a right to be out here we'll to bad because we do have a home out here but I won't go back to that whole in a wall again you people need to learn how to respect the customer even if they are BLACK ! Good low key spot. The staff is very sociable. Food is very good. Drinks are tasty but strong just like i like them.

I honestly never get enough of this place. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, the prices cannot be beat, and it's really great to have a late-night option in Grosse Pointe. The menu is pretty much traditional, fried bar food; every time I get the wings they're incredibly meaty and well-flavored (tip: 50 cent wings on Mondays!) and the chicken sandwich is superb. They've also got some really adventurous drinks and great nightly specials. As a really great addition, my observation is that this group is also incredibly supportive of other local businesses and endeavors, which I respect so much and makes me excited to keep giving them my business. I'm so happy to have them in our neck of the woods, and am now badly craving some buffalo wings. read more

Cute small bar, doesn't have the typical GP bubble feeling around it. All the servers we've had thus far have been funny, nice and attentive. I didn't like this place. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it tasted like it had been frozen and improperly thawed before cooking. In other words, it was tough and very unappealing. I've made that same mistake before in my own kitchen, which is why I normally buy fresh chicken breasts. On a separate occasion, my husband I went there to SPECIFICALLY ORDER A MARTINI. You would think this was the place to go, right? NOT. We asked for a Vesper martini (James Bond style) and the waiter responded "what's that?" So ok, we explained to her what it is and she told the bartender. A few minutes later, she came back and told us the bartender disagreed with our description of a Vesper martini and made it the way he understood it to be (no Lillet). If you like things that are mediocre, I recommend the Ye Olde Pony. It is extremely average, which is nice and ok. The food is fine and there is beer, which is normal. The patio might be above average during the summer months, but the tight confines of the interior is subpar during the winter months, so it all evens out. My husband and I are glad to see that you are still bringing in the crowds. The staff has been updated and a few bad servers are gone. Thank you management. Food prices are still the best in the Pointes and portions are generous. We prefer to go on a Sunday, Monday or Friday when Bobbie is behind the bar. All the customers love her. This is a neat addition to the village of grosse pointe. Great specials run all week, attentive staff, fun music and they serve food until 1am!
