Long wait for any food, not busy either.

The atmosphere here is good, former church converted to a beer garden. The setting is unique and enjoyable. The service was very slow, edited 10 minutes before anyone came over to take our happy hour drink order. After another 1/2 hour they took our appetizer (jumbo pretzel and charcuterie board) order and it took forever to get. They finally came back for our dinner order which took at least, another hour to get. The food was mediocre at best, my granddaughters chicken strips were fried, and dried, like eating balsa wood. The restaurant was not busy, for a Friday evening which says something as the surrounding restaurants were bursting with customers. Anyways, a nice atmosphere to grab one of their beers (purple gang pilsner is good) and sit at the bar but I would skip the food. We were there 3 hours to get a bar good dinner, unacceptable. Atwater is going to have to go better if they want a dinner crowd.

The ambiance and building are amazing! However the A C Was not working, they could not get the ordered items out due to staffing. The beer could definitely be colder! Great happy hour but execution was lacking.

The staff was friendly impatient. The only cons would be the seating arrangements. I feel like they aren't the best when it comes to accessibility. The vegan option that I tried was the vegan bratwurst with tater tots. When I glanced over the menu, that was the only vegan option that I saw was available however, I did see a few salad options. They have an abundance of mock tails which were each delicious. There's parking on surrounding streets, which is paid to park.

YUM great flavor of food and fries and DELISH beer. i'm learning to like IPAs and i got the double IPA White grape and the grape flavor came through perfectly. i wish i could give more of a 4.5 because my only qualm was being charged extra for a beyond patty on the pub burger with a single patty when the other person at my table got the normal meat pub burger and it came double stacked. for a $17 burger and then a $4 up charge i would think it would be the same quantity. this part is on me but i recommend if you're vegetarian keep the cheese on. sha girl loves cheese. fries were bomb. i'm the type to order with mayo and it was great. and staff FUN. our server was fun when taking our order. even tho they were out of a few items he made some jokes to keep up the beat haha. also how the staff gabbed with each other made it feel like a good community :) and not to mention the BEAUTIFUL interior.

We came here to watch Sunday football and right away this place stood out with a really nice ambiance with beautiful original stained glass windows and what looks like authentic fixtures. Our waitress Neeko was such a delight! And our drinks were so tasty, will definitely be coming back!

I've been to Atwater in Grosse Pointe Park for trivia nights with people from my high school. It's a nice place to hang out with a nice big outdoor seating and bar area. The building is a former church, and it's beautiful. It would fit right into the world of Harry Potter. Several heaters are available, but they didn't work well when a friend and I tried to sit outside last month. The fun atmosphere and trivia nights make up for some of the mediocre food. The bottom crust of the pizza we ordered was too thin and burned. The Big Ol' Pretzel is better than the pizza. The photo doesn't do it justice. It is humongous, and two orders of the pretzel were enough to split among a dozen people. It comes with beer cheese and dirty blonde mustard. The beer cheese was delicious with the pretzel. I would recommend ordering it as a shared appetizer. Another time I came here with a high school friend, we were never given menus or asked if we wanted to order anything. The waitress was well-meaning and said she didn't want to interrupt our conversation, but after an hour without being asked if we wanted to order anything, we left and went to Cellar 313 for food. Overall, Atwater can be a hit or miss, but it's a good place to gather with friends to have a drink, load up on carbs, and stop by on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. for trivia night.

Loved this place! I have always enjoyed Atwater beer when I visit Detroit and it was great fun to visit their satellite location in an old church. Beautiful building with tasteful decor that preserved the building's character. The beee is excellent and the menu had a number of vegetarian and vegan items, including a satisfying chili. My sister and I split a salad- not sure how one person could have eaten that. Friendly service. My only complaint would be the tables were a bit small for the food.

A: Brewery in an old church. Yes, please. B: When we walked in to Atwater, the bartender Juanita was so kind and recommended some great beers (Lip Lock Cherry Stout) and some much needed food. She was just as much a great component to our time at Atwater. C: the beers were equally of note.

Back at my favorite Atwater location. Anne and crew are so welcoming and on their game. Love the ambiance of this location. The stained glass glistens in the sun. Patio tables outside are ample and setup for both human and furry friends. Haven't been here in a minute and they have doubled if not tripled their vegan offerings. Yeah! From Beyond brats, chorizo, pizza, to buffalo wings- every appetite is satisfied. So happy to have a local brewery accommodate all diets/lifestyles. Thank you Atwater in the Park. We love you!

When we first arrived, I was pretty impressed by how gorgeous this restaurant is. Repurposed from an old church, Atwater has kept many of the historical features of the building including beautiful stained glass windows throughout. As for the service, I found my waiter to be very attentive and quick, however they warned us that they only had one person in the kitchen. So yes, food did take a while, but at a bar like this it was good time to drink our beers and play games! They have a small arcade in the back near the bathrooms & a machine to make change for the arcade. Now to the food, myself and my partner got the spicy chicken sandwich and while it was delicious- it did not have any spicy flavor or sauce to it- we wondered if they missed our sandwiches in putting some kind of sauce on it? Not sure- but despite this the sandwich was good! - especially the sweet pretzel bun. I see on the menu they have a pretzel appetizer..... if that's anything like this pretzel bun I imagine most customers would really like it! This is also a brewery- so make sure to try their beer! You're probably familiar with their Dirty Blonde, but here they have several atwater brand beers that I've never seen in store. (They also sell their beer to go at a cheaper price than I've seen a liquor stores.) I tried the Fruit Guru and thought it was really good- definitely a must have for those who like a fruity, sweeter beer. Overall- I would recommend this restaurant as a fun and cute place to come. Note that on Tuesdays they have trivia nights, and during warm weather there is a very cute outdoor seating area. This establishment has parking across the street. Expect to pay ~$20-$30 per person.

I'm rather surprised I have never reviewed this Atwater. I was in need of this tagabrew tag and for some reason couldn't manage to get up here to do it. The hours are just not conducive to making plans. But because it's the week of Christmas they extended their hours and I was able to come after seeing a patient in the area. Worked out well! Atwater is huge! It's a really cool atmosphere. It's located in an old church and they kept the characteristics of the church in tact. There is a large private room that you can use if you have a party. There is an outdoor area that is fun in the summer. They often have live music playing. It is a great spot to check out!

There are about 8 TVs so it is great to watch sports games. I found the service to be a bit slow and I noticed that there are only two inside tables that aren't bar height. I came with my grandpa so of course we had to sit at the shorter table, but there was only the one table left so it might've been hard to find a seat otherwise. There is plenty of outdoor seating but often with old people they like to sit inside with air con :) I understand that the pub is geared towards a certain age group but nice to have more all age adaption for better business. I imagine that young families would also want shorter tables. I found the food, beer, and drink delicious! They do a good job on the food and beverage. We had sandwiches for lunch, and I loved that there is the peanuts there for nibbling on. I personally love the peanut concept, and I don't think that they should ever remove that. Maybe just make a bigger sign for over anxious parents that may have not seen the sign on the door. I didn't even notice it coming in saying "we are a peanut friendly facility" More obvious please :) We had a good time, even grandpa did :) will return!
